Chapter XVIII: The Second Attack
Section I
Sauron didn't return to the Slytherin common room until midnight, where Isabella and Epikos were sitting on the couch by the fireplace, and when they saw Sauron, they both stood up.
"Your Highness," said Epikos respectfully, with a certain inexplicable excitement on his face, "Isabella told me about the evening. β
Sauron shook his head, "I'm afraid I'm going to disappoint you, Epikos," he looked at Epikos and then at Isabella, "I'm not a parseltongue. β
Ibikos smiled, "If you're a parseltongue, it's just a little surprise. Even if you weren't, you would still be our Highness Sauron. β
Isabella didn't speak, but she looked at Sauron's eyes with the same trust and adoration as ever.
"I'm still a little curious, though, since you're Harry's twin brother, it's a little strange that you're not a parseltongue." Ibikos said, noticing that Sauron's expression was a little complicated and seemed to realize something, and frowned, and asked carefully, "Isn't Harry's parseltongue from blood......
Sauron nodded helplessly, his face a little ugly.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness." Ibikos said apologetically, and Sauron waved his hand to show that he didn't care.
Isabella looked a little confused as she looked at the two of them, but she also realized that something bad seemed to be happening, so she changed the subject, saying, "The Slytherins came back in the evening and talked about it, and Ipicos and I thought it might cause unnecessary trouble, so Ibikos just sternly warned everyone not to talk too much." β
Ibikos nodded, "Warnings won't change their minds, but at least they will reduce gossip." β
Sauron rubbed his forehead after hearing this, "You guys did a good job, but, no matter what the students think, it will only cause a little trouble at best, and what we really have to solve is still the heir." β
The next day, Sauron and Harry seemed to be the focus of the students' conversation. The Hufflepuff students seemed to believe that Harry was the heir, and that day at the dueling club party, he tried to instigate a viper to bite Justin Finchrie to death, and the students would always point fingers at Harry wherever he went; The Ravenclaw and Slytherin students seem to prefer that Sauron opened the Chamber of Secrets, but few students dare to point a finger at Sauron, and the Slytherins become more respectful of Sauron.
"I'm so confused that I would tell Harry Potter that I went to Eton College," a boy was talking to someone next to him, and Sauron could tell that it was Justin Finchlery, who was talking to his Hufflepuff classmates, "I guess if it weren't for the crowd there, I'm afraid he would have let that snake bite my head off, I didn't expect him to be an evil Parseltongue." β
Sauron frowned, but wisely didn't walk over, that would only deepen the misunderstanding. He glanced coldly at the group of students, which made Justin shiver for no apparent reason. They looked up and around, only to see the back of Sauron leaving, and Isabella looked at them contemptuously, and turned towards Sauron.
"Stupid Hufflepuff." Isabella said indignantly beside Sauron.
"There's no need to pay attention to them, there will always be such blind mediocrities." Sauron said calmly, he looked at Isabella, "Isabella, there is no point in arguing with their kind of mediocrity, it will only make us mediocre too. β
"You are right, Your Highness." Isabella said, "By the way, Your Highness, did you spend Christmas at school?"
Sauron nodded, he originally wanted to go to France to see Fleur, but that day Phobertol brought a letter from Fleur, which included a few photos of her, in the photos, Fleur was smiling happily, and her blue eyes looked particularly beautiful. She wrote that she had changed her plans and was going to stay in Beauxbatons for Christmas this year, and that Sauron was not worried about leaving Harry alone at school due to another secret room incident at Hogwarts, so he decided to stay as well.
Thinking of Fleur, that beautiful girl like an elf, and the short but relaxing time with her, Sauron couldn't help but smile on his face. Isabella looked at Sauron with an inexplicable look.

Unlike Sauron's disregard for rumors, Harry was troubled by this. In fact, Harry was in a bad mood, not only because he was mistaken for attacking Justin, but also because of the uneasiness in his heart about his brother Sauron.
It was snowing heavily, the herbal medicine class that had been scheduled was canceled, and the thick and gray snowflakes fluttered in the sky, making the castle look particularly gloomy. Harry decides to go to Justin to make things clear, and he guesses that Justin may be catching up on his homework during the time when he doesn't have classes, so he goes to the library to find out.
In the back row of the library sat a group of Hufflepuff students who were supposed to take a herb class, but it didn't look like they were revising their homework. Standing between the tall bookshelves, Harry could see their heads coming together, seemingly talking about an interesting topic. He couldn't tell if Justin was among them. He was about to walk towards them when suddenly, a few words from them drifted into his ears. He stopped, hid in the invisible book section, and listened.
"So, anyway," said a tall boy, "my name is Justin hiding in our dormitory. I mean, if the Potter brothers are determined to kill him, he'd better hide for a while. Of course, Justin had expected this to happen ever since he accidentally told Harry Potter that he was a natural Muggle. Justin even told them that he had attended Eton College, and that he couldn't just say that to a Slytherin descendant, not to mention that he had annoyed Sauron Potter this morning. β
"So, Ernie, are you sure it's the Potter brothers?" A girl with a golden ponytail asked eagerly.
"Hannah," said the big boy sternly, "Harry Potter is a parseltongue. Everyone knows that this is the sign of a dark wizard. Have you ever heard of a decent wizard who can talk to a serpent? They call Slytherin himself a serpent. What's more, his brother, Sauron Potter, is a Slytherin, and I guess he must be a snake too. β
Hearing this, everyone began to talk in whispers. Ernie continued, "Remember what was written on the wall?" Those who are enemies of the heirs, be wary. Harry Potter had a fight with Filch, and soon we learned that Filch's cat had been killed. Creevey, a first-year freshman, was always pestering Harry Potter, and the Potter brothers were so annoyed with him, and he annoyed Harry Potter during Quidditch matches, taking pictures of him while he was lying in the mud. We then learned that Creevey had also been killed. β
"Harry always seemed so friendly, though, and the Saurons weren't bad, not as arrogant as the other Slytherins," Hannah said hesitantly, "and, by the way, it was Harry who made the mystery man disappear." He can't be that bad, right?" Ernie mysteriously lowered his voice, the Hufflepuffs pressed closer, and Harry leaned back a little closer so he could hear Ernie.
"No one knows how the two brothers escaped death when they were attacked by a mysterious person. I mean, they were babies when that happened. They should have been blown to pieces. Only the most powerful Dark Wizard could escape such a spell. His voice was lower, almost like a whisper, and he said, "Probably because of this, the mystery wants to kill them first, and he doesn't want another pair of 'adversaries' to fight him." I don't know if the Potter brothers have any other spells to hide from you. What's more......" Ernie paused and said sternly, "I heard from the Ravenclaws that the Slytherin students have a lot of respect for Sauron Potter, and Harry Potter is very popular with the Gryffindors, maybe the brothers are planning some kind of conspiracy to eliminate those who resist them, so as to secretly control Hogwarts......"
Harry couldn't take it anymore. He cleared his throat and stepped out from behind the bookshelf. If he hadn't felt so angry, he would have seen a comical sight: every Hufflepuff was stunned at the sight of him, and Ernie's face was bloodied.
"Hello," said Harry, "I'm looking for Justin Finchrie. "The Hufflepuff students' worst fears have clearly been confirmed. They all looked at Ernie in horror.
"What are you looking for him?" Ernie asked in a trembling voice.
"I want to tell him what the hell is going on with that snake in the dueling club." Harry said.
Ernie bit his pale lip, then took a deep breath and said, "We were all there. We saw what was going on. β
"Did you notice that after I spoke to the snake, he went back?" Harry was a little angry.
"All I see," Ernie said stubbornly, though he shuddered all over, "you speak in a parseltongue, urging the snake to attack Justin. β
"I didn't urge the snake to attack him!" Harry's voice trembled with anger, "The snake didn't even touch him!"
"Just a little bit." "If you want to strike me up," he said hurriedly, "I might as well tell you that you can go back nine generations of wizards in our family, and that my blood is as pure as anyone's, soβ"
"I don't care what kind of bloodline you have!" Harry said furiously, "Why would I attack Muggles?"
"I've heard you hate the ...... who live with you." Ernie stopped abruptly as he spoke, his face turning pale.
Harry turned around, and Sauron was standing behind him, glancing at the Hufflepuffs with a blank face, and he patted Harry on the shoulder, "There's no need to argue with them, Harry. β
Seeing that it was Sauron, Harry's love was steady, but the expression on his face was a little complicated. Sauron didn't say anything and turned to leave, Harry giving Ernie a hateful look and following.
Sauron walked ahead and didn't speak, Harry hesitated for a long time, "Sauron, well, do you speak snake language?" β
Sauron stood still, his back to Harry, and for a long time, he said slowly, "You just need to know that I am your brother and I will never hurt you. With that, he strode away.
Harry stood there steadily, looking at Sauron's back, pondering Sauron's words.
"Hi Harry. Why are you standing here stunned? A gruff voice came and brought Harry back to his senses.
"Oh, hello, Hagrid." Harry said, looking up.
Hagrid's face was obscured by a woollen helmet hat stained with snowflakes, but it couldn't have been anyone but him, for the moleskin tunic almost completely filled the hallway. He carried a dead in one of his large, gloved hands.
"Okay? Harry?" He said, pulling his helmet up so he could speak, "Why didn't you go to class?"
"Canceled." Harry said, "What are you doing here?"
Hagrid lifted the limp. "It's the second one I've been killed this semester," he explained, "and it's either a fox or a blood-sucking youkai, and I need the headmaster's permission to cast a spell around the chicken shed." β
He looked more closely at Harry with his eyes under his thick snowflake eyebrows.
"Are you really okay? Your face looks bad. β
Harry thought for a moment, not telling what the Hufflepuff students had just said about him and their suspicions about Sauron.
"Nothing." He said, "I've got to go, Hagrid, and the next class is Transfiguration, and I've got to get my book." β
He walked away, still thinking about what Ernie was saying about him - "Justin had expected this to happen since he accidentally slipped out to the Potter brothers that he was a born Muggle......"
Harry slammed up the stairs and turned into another hallway. The light was particularly dim, a window pane was loose, and a bitter wind blew in and extinguished the torch. He was halfway through when he suddenly tripped over something lying on the floor.
Justin Finchrie lay on the floor, cold and stiff, a look of horror fixed on his face, his eyes glazed on the ceiling. And that wasn't all, there was a figure next to him, and Harry had never seen such a strange sight.
It was a nearly headless Nick, no longer milky and transparent, but black, smoky, and motionless lying flat six inches above the ground. Half of his head was off, and he had the same horrified expression on his face as Justin.
Harry quickly stood up, breathing heavily, his heart pounding like a small drum in his chest. He looked around the empty hallway in confusion, only to see a line of spiders scurrying away. He couldn't hear anything else, only the teacher's voice in the classroom at the other end of the hallway.
Harry stood there, panicked. Just then, a door next to him slammed open, and Peeves, who was a prankster, rushed out.
"Ah, that's Gryffindor's Potter!" Peeves giggled and jumped past Harry, knocking Harry's glasses crooked. "What is Potter doing? Why is Potter sneaky-"
Peeves flipped halfway through a hollow heel and suddenly stopped. He looked down at Justin and Nick, who was almost headless. He quickly straightened up, took a deep breath, and before Harry could stop him, he screamed in a straight voice, "Do it! Let's do it! Let's do it again! Neither humans nor ghosts are immune! Run for your life! Move--hand!"
"Bang-bang-", the doors in the hallway were pushed open one by one, and people swarmed out. During those difficult minutes, the scene was extremely chaotic, Justin was in danger of being squashed, and people kept standing in the middle of Nick's body, who was almost headless. The teachers shouted loudly to maintain order. Professor McGonagall ran all the way, followed by the students in her class, one of whom still had black and white hair. Professor McGonagall slammed her wand with a loud bang, and everyone fell silent, and she ordered everyone to return to their classrooms. The people had just dispersed when Hufflepuff's Ernie arrived panting.
"Caught red-handed!" Ernie turned pale and pointed his finger at Harry dramatically, shouting loudly.
"That's enough, Ernie!" Professor McGonagall said sternly.
Peeves floated overhead, looking down at the scene. At this time, he grinned and smiled evillyβPeeves had always feared that the world would not be chaotic. As the teachers bent down to check on Justin and Nick, who was almost headless, Peeves suddenly sang, "Oh, Potter, you nasty thing, look at the good things you've done, you've killed the students, and you're funnyβah!"
A green light struck Peeves, who let out a scream of pain and smoked as if it had been burned by flames, and it flew through the ceiling and vanished. Those present looked behind Harry in surprise or horror, and Sauron didn't know when he came, standing there with a blank face, wand in hand. Ernie looked at Sauron, his face bloodless; Professor McGonagall pursed her lips tightly, gave Sauron a complicated look, and finally said, "Mr. Potter, be careful not to cast spells in the hallway next time, or I will lose points." β
Sauron nodded apologetically.
Justin was carried to the hospital room by Professor Flitwick and Professor Sinista of the Department of Astronomy, but Nick, who was almost headless, made it difficult for those present. Eventually, Professor McGonagall conjured a large fan out of thin air and handed it to Ernie, instructing him to fan Nick, who was almost headless, up the stairs. Ernie complied, fanning Nick forward like a black hovercraft without a sound. Only Harry, Sauron, and Professor McGonagall were left in the hallway.
"Follow me, Harry." She said.
"Professor," Harry said quickly, "I swear I didn'tβ" He looked at Sauron as if pleading.
"It's alright, Harry." Sauron said reassuringly, turning to Professor McGonagall, "I'll go first, Professor. β
Professor McGonagall nodded, then said softly to Harry, "Don't be nervous."
They silently turned a corner and stopped in front of a huge, ugly stone monster.
