Chapter 17: The Seeds of Doubt
Section I
Snape only used the Disarming Charm, and Lockhart didn't suffer any damage except for being sent flying. He staggered to his feet, his hat falling off, and his wavy curls stood on end.
"Okay, you can see it!" He staggered back onto the stage and said, "It's a disarming spell - as you can see, I lost my wand - ah, thank you, Miss Brown. Yes, Professor Snape, it's a brilliant idea to show them this trick, but don't mind me when I say that, your intention is obvious. If I want to stop you, I don't have to do anything. I think it would be better to let them see ...... in order to increase their knowledge."
Snape looked murderous. Lockhart probably noticed it too, only to hear him say, "This is the end of the demonstration!" Now I will come among you and divide you all into groups of two. Professor Snape, if you're willing to help me......"
They weave their way through the crowd and pair everyone up. Lockhart asked Neville and Justin Finchrie to pair up, but Snape walked up to Harry and Ron. "The Dream Team should be broken up, I think," he sneered, "Harry Potter—"
Sauron frowned, he guessed that Snape was looking for trouble, so he stood at the front of the Slytherin students, and Snape turned his head to see Sauron standing there, looking at him defiantly. Snape had wanted Drake to be in a team with Harry, but when he saw Sauron, he realized that no Slytherin student would dare to cast a spell on Harry today. Snape glared at Sauron, pursed his lips disapprovingly, and said, "You and your brother are in a group, Draco, you are in a group with Weasley, and as for you, Miss Granger - you can be paired with Miss Millicent." ”
Draco walked over with a wicked smile, in fact, in the Gryffindor trio, he hated Ron Weasley the most, and similarly, Ron was also the most hated Draco in the trio, in fact, the hatred between the two was also the epitome of the hatred between the two families. Pansy followed behind Draco, she was chubby, tall and strong, with her fat chin sticking forward, looking menacing. However, Sauron heard from Isabella that the two of them got along well.
Being placed in a group with Sauron, Harry was visibly relieved, knowing that his brother wouldn't hurt him. In fact, knowing the huge gap between himself and his brother, Harry didn't even want to compete with Søren. Now that he was worried about Ron and Hermione, he walked over to Sauron and asked in a low voice, "Will Ron and Hermione be okay?" ”
Sauron smiled and shook his head, signaling Harry not to worry
"Face your partner!" Lockhart returned to the stage and shouted, "Bow!"
Harry and Sauron separated, but neither raised their wands, and both turned their heads to look at Draco and Ron, Harry looking nervous and Sauron looking forward to Draco's watch with interest.
Ron and Draco both stared at each other fiercely, barely nodding their heads.
"Raise your wand and get ready!" Lockhart exclaimed, "When I count to three, I'll cast a spell and disarm the other party's weapons - just disarm them - we don't want accidents." One-two-three-"
Ron and Draco raised their wands over their shoulders at the same time, shouting "Get rid of your weapons!" Draco's wand shot a red glow, and Crohn's wand seemed to be out of order, just a cloud of sparks, and then it was sent flying by Draco's spell.
This scene stunned Sauron, Harry, and Draco, who wanted to put an iron armor spell on himself. Harry worriedly tried to take a look at Ron's situation, but was stopped by Sauron, "He's fine, it's just a disarming charm." ”
Soon, Ron sat up and shook his head in a daze.
"You're bad, Weasley." Draco scoffed, "It's worse than I thought." ”
Ron's face was flushed with anger, almost the same color as his hair. He angrily grabbed the wand that had fallen beside him, trying to cast another spell on Draco, but Kordraco was faster. He shouted, "Tarangtella Dance!" Immediately, Ron, who had just stood up, twitched his legs strangely, as if he was dancing,
"Stop! Stop!" Loha screamed, and Sauron pursed his lips, waved his wand, and shouted, "Stop!" Ron's feet stopped dancing, and Draco stepped aside.
A puff of green smoke filled the entire venue. Neville and Justin both lay on the floor, panting, while Hermione and Millicent were still moving; Millicent grabbed Hermione's head, and Hermione softly screamed in pain. Both of their wands had been forgotten on the floor. Isabella was tugging at the two of them, trying to separate them, and Harry jumped forward and pulled Millicent away. It wasn't easy, Millicent was much bigger than him and Isabella.
"Oh my God, oh my God," Lockhart said, jumping around the crowd and watching the consequences of the duel.
"I think I'd better teach you how to stop unfriendly magic." Lockhart said as he stood in the middle of the auditorium with a panicked expression. He glanced at Snape, who saw a cold glint in his dark eyes, and immediately looked away. "How are you, please volunteer to come up - Longbottom and Finriry?"
"That's not a good idea, Professor Lockhart." Snape said, while gliding briskly across the stage like a vicious, large bat. "Longbottom can wreak havoc with even the simplest of spells. We will put Finlieri's remains in a matchbox and send them to the hospital room. Neville's round pink face was flushing even more. How's Malfoy and Weasley?" Snape said with a sinister smile. "Wonderful!" Lockhart said as he motioned for Ron and Draco to walk to the center of the auditorium, where the people stepped back to make room for them, and Harry lent Ron his wand.
Snape approached Malfoy and whispered to him for a few moments, and Malfoy sneered. Seeing this, Lockhart also leaned over to Ron, muttering something while flapping his wand, only to drop it to the ground. Lockhart smiled awkwardly and patted Ron on the shoulder, "Just do as I said." Ron's face was confused and nervous.
"Three...... Two...... One...... Let's go!" He shouted.
Malfoy quickly raised his wand and yelled, "Oolong out of the hole!" The head of his wand exploded. Ron watched in horror as a long black snake suddenly burst out of it and landed heavily on the floor between the two, then raised its head and prepared to attack. The crowd screamed, quickly dodging backwards, making way for the clearing.
"Don't move, Weasley." Snape said lazily, apparently feeling very relieved to see Ron standing there motionless, frightened by the snake. "I'm going to get him away......"
"Let me come!" Lockhart shouted. He raised his wand and waved it menacingly at the snake, and suddenly, with a loud bang, the snake not only did not disappear, but sprang up more than a foot and fell heavily to the floor. It was furious, hissing and spitting out letters and swimming straight at Justin Fenri, then it raised its head and bared its fangs in an offensive stance.
Sauron looked at the serpent with interest, and with Snape there, he wasn't worried about who the snake would hurt. At this moment, Harry, who was standing beside him, didn't know why, and walked forward in a daze, his eyes fixed on the snake. Sauron was about to stop him, but heard Harry hiss in a low, muffled hiss. Sauron was surprised to find that the snake had calmed down, and was supple on the ground, eyes fixed on Harry. Harry looked up at Justin and grinned, but Justin looked at Harry angrily and horrified.
"What do you think you're up to?" He shouted, and before Harry could speak, Justin turned and rushed out of the Great Hall.
Snape stepped forward, waved his wand, and the snake turned into a puff of black smoke and vanished. Snape looked at Harry with a cunning, scheming gaze, and then turned to look at Sauron. The crowd around them were whispering ominously, pointing at Harry, Sauron frowned, and just as he was about to step forward, Ron and Hermione had already pulled Harry out of the Great Hall. Sauron thought for a moment, and instead of chasing them, he turned and headed for Dumbledore's office.
Ron led Harry out of the auditorium, and Hermione hurried beside them. When they went out, the people backed off to both sides, as if they were afraid of getting into trouble. Ron and Hermione didn't say anything, just dragged him all the way to the empty Gryffindor common room. Then, Ron pushed Harry into an armchair and said, "You're a parseltongue. Why don't you sue us?"
"What am I?" Harry asked.
"Parseltongue!" Ron said, "You're going to talk to snakes!"
"I see," Harry said, "I mean, this is the second time I've done this. Once, in the zoo, I accidentally released a python, and the python pounced on my cousin Dudley - a long story, when the python told me that it had never been to Brazil, and I unknowingly released it, and I didn't mean to. I didn't know I was a wizard at the time......"
"A python told you that it had never been to Brazil?" Ron asked in a weak voice.
"What's wrong?" "I bet a lot of people here can do that. ”
"Oh, they can't do it," Ron said, "it's not an ordinary skill. Harry, this sucks. ”
"What's bad?" Harry asked, starting to feel anger in his heart. "What's wrong with all the people? Listen, if I hadn't told that snake not to attack Justin—"
"Oh, that's what you said to him?"
"What do you mean by that? You were there, and you heard me. ”
"I hear you speak in a parseltongue," Ron said, "the language of snakes." Anything you say is possible. No wonder Justin was terrified, listening to your voice as if you were encouraging the snake. That's creepy, you know. Harry stared at him dumbfounded.
"Am I speaking another language? But - I didn't realize it - how could I speak another language and not know it?" Ron shook his head, both of him and Hermione looked heavy, as if someone had died, much to Harry's confusion.
"Are you willing to sue me to stop an ugly snake from biting off Jia Xinting's head, what's wrong with that?" Harry said, "As long as Justin doesn't join the headless group, what does it matter what I do?"
"It's important," Hermione finally lowered her voice, "because being able to talk to snakes is Salazar Slytherin's famous skill. So, the symbol of Slytherin House is a snake. Harry's mouth widened.
"Exactly," Ron said, "now, the whole school thinks you're his great-great-great-great-great-grandchild or something......
"But I'm not." Harry said.
"You'll find it hard to prove," Hermione said, "that he lived about a thousand years ago; From all we know, you are probably his heir. ”
"But I belong to Gryffindor," said Harry, "and if I had Slytherin blood, the Sorting Hat wouldn't have put me here......" Harry fell silent as he remembered that the Sorting Hat was meant to send him to Slytherin.
"But Sauron is in Slytherin, he's your twin brother...... Ron seemed to suddenly remember something, he looked at Harry, lowered his voice and said, "If Harry is a parseltongue, then what about Sauron?" ”
Harry's eyes widened and his face was ugly, and Hermione had a complicated expression.
