Chapter 7: Ignition
Olga looked at the crowd rushing in front of him, grasped his sword in both hands, and rushed forward without the slightest fear. These people seem menacing, but in Olga's life, such battles are nothing more than commonplace. He'd been through worse things than that—he had no companions to fight with, not even a good weapon at his disposal, just a wooden club, but he had to face a malicious siege of more than twenty people.
In that almost desperate situation, he survived, and although he lost half his life, he also learned something very important: sometimes, the number of people is not everything.
In front of Olga, at the front rushed three young men in leather armor. These three poor guys were probably pushed to the front to play as a striker because of their low status. For veterans, no matter how many people there are on the other side, what the bottom is, whether they are strong or weak, at the beginning, it is better to let others go up and test it than to step forward and take risks yourself.
The three men who rushed forward were all armed with long weapons, and three spears stabbed at Olga. Alga shouted, brandished his sword and shaved off the head of the spear that had stabbed him, clamped the spear without the head under his armpit, and pushed it forward. The three men with guns were pushed back by Olga alone, and they let out a scream without letting go of their spears, crashing into their companions behind them. Some of the people behind them didn't have time to dodge and were knocked to the ground.
With the strength of this one person, Olga pushed the three people back and knocked over a lot of people. If this crowd is a rapid, then Olga is the one standing in this rapid.
Olga, without any skill and sheer brute force, held back the vicious people. He stood there, holding three spears without the head in the crook of his arm, and the momentum caused the others who had not been knocked into the air to take a few steps back, and for a moment they did not have the courage to step forward.
But they don't have a chance to stay there and do nothing. A little farther away, Patin, crouched on the roof, was shooting arrows, and by this time he had already shot down all the archers who were attached to him, and now he had time to relieve Olga of some pressure. Arrow after arrow fell on the unfortunate ones who were being targeted. Someone wearing a low-quality helmet narrowly escaped his life, and someone with no protection on his head is not so lucky. Those who fell to the ground were Pattin's first targets, and some were shot in the body, and although they were still alive, they fell to the ground and wailed, and no one cared about them. Those who could move were already looking for cover and hiding.
Someone bypassed Olga and walked past the side house, intending to go around behind him and surround him. Because hiding in a place where Patin couldn't shoot, and it was impossible for Olga to completely restrain so many people by herself, they did it, half-surrounding Olga.
It also meant that Julius was also exposed to their sight.
Olga and Julius stood back to back. "Boy, this is not a chivalric novel, nor is it a beautiful fairy tale - these people, when they fight, will come at you, and there will be a lot of them. "They know they can't deal with me, but your words ...... It looks like it's easy to handle. If I could, they would even threaten me with you. ”
"It's despicable. Julius said.
"This is fighting, no matter how despicable, as long as you survive, it's right. ”
The encirclement was shrinking, and some of them had already rushed in Pattin's direction. If you don't deal with Padin first, Patin's arrows will keep falling on their heads, which is more terrifying than a head-on sword fight.
Patin fired three more arrows, hitting the man who was running at the front of him as he was rushing towards him, but he didn't let them fall. They learned wisely, and let the men with leather and wooden shields stand in the way, and soon shortened the distance. A few small shields don't defend the whole body, but it's more than enough to protect your head - except for a few unlucky ones who have been shot in the legs and feet.
Not only were they passively beaten, some of them had already thrown small axes and short spears at Pattin, but they were all dodged by Pattin. Padding dodged the flying murder weapon and continued to shoot arrows. When he fired the last arrow, the bow broke. The bow he was holding was not a good thing at all, just a very ordinary and crude product. And now, this bow can no longer withstand the frequency and force of Patin's bow, and the bow body, which has been constantly screaming, has finally broken at this time.
Maybe he should have carried an extra bow in the first place. Patin threw the broken bow in two and smashed it in the face of the person closest to him. Where he was standing now, there were already people below him, and after the bow in his hand was scrapped, these people moved faster.
These Roque's men, dressed in tattered or rudimentary leather armor and wooden armor made of wood chips, shouted loudly below, as if this would make Patin feel timid—when dealing with ordinary people, they were indeed terrifying, terrifying, and discouraged from fighting.
But Padin was never an ordinary man, nor was he an ordinary warrior.
Patin ignored the crowd below and looked up at the front of the settlement. In this narrow residential area, everyone seems to have rushed here, like a rapids in a small dry river, and the cracked soil in the river is swept away by the current.
In this sinful place, life seems to be everywhere, but who knows how many lives these people have caused?
Padding doesn't think he's a good guy, but she's never been a soft-hearted person. He took a deep breath, pulled out the knife hanging from his waist, and jumped off the roof of the cabin.
On the other side, the encirclement against Olga and Julius was getting tighter and tighter, and everyone had a look of suspicion and a malicious light in their eyes.
"Don't die. "Olga had something to say to Julius, but in such a situation, a thousand words were reduced to the most important one.
Julius nodded vigorously.
The encirclement is smaller. Someone had already rushed towards Olga and Julius.
On the other side of this long and narrow settlement, there is a wooden house that looks special and different. It was pretty much the same as any other cabin, but the door was flanked by tiny skulls that looked rather scary - and very few people visited here, except for Roque, who could come here at will.
Here lived a woman whom Roque called the Old Woman, a hunchbacked woman with a terrifying face. Outside, there was a commotion that looked like it was about to turn the sky upside down, but it was quiet here. Not because there is no one here, but because the people who live here are no longer able to make a sound.
Lulunaka pushed the door open and saw the smoke and dust on the other side of the gate, as well as the shouts of the people. "It's a bit wasteful, but it's powerful enough...... It's just used on a wooden door, and the test can't be limited. Lulunaka muttered to herself.
In her left hand she held the cane she had always carried with her, and in her right hand she held the head of an old woman. The old woman's face didn't have much expression, as if she didn't know she was dead at all—no fear of death before she died, no consternation. How the old woman who examined Lulunaka's body died, I'm afraid only Lulunaka knows.
"I'm usually called a witch so much that I almost think I'm a witch. Lulunaka grabbed the old woman's hair and turned her face to herself. "I didn't think I would meet a fake witch here...... It's all in this age, and it's not easy to have a pure old witch like you. Unfortunately, I was a little unlucky to meet me. Would you like to show Julius what a real witch is like? ”
No one answered Lulunaka's question, and it was impossible for her to answer her question as for the human head she was holding in her hand.
Lulunaka walked in Olga's direction, looking very laid-back and not in a hurry. Within a few steps, she ran into Roque and his men.
Roque's face became even more ugly when he saw the human head Lulunaka was holding in her hand. "So, it all looks like it was planned. He gritted his teeth with his axe in both hands, as if he were going to split Lulunaka in half. The henchmen around him also drew their weapons and looked at Lulunaka warily.
Lulunaka and Roque are now in the latter half of the settlement, where Roque walks a little further and Lulunaka a few steps back to the rudimentary dock where the boats are parked. For Roque, Lulunaka is now an obstacle in front of him – but it could also be an opportunity. As long as he can catch this girl, he will have a few more chances to deal with Olga and the others who suddenly attacked.
"You don't look like a crazy woman. Roque said, "Who the hell are you!"
Lulunaka smiled and raised her cane, which had a groove at the tip of the cane and a diamond-shaped fiery red crystal that glittered in the sunlight.
"I'm a mage - if I say that, will you believe what a madwoman says?"
A raging fire erupted from the tip of the cane, drowning Roque's and his men.
