There are also distinctions in European food culture, mainly represented by French, Italian, British and American. During this school year, we will learn each of the four styles of cuisine.

French cuisine is characterized by a wide selection of ingredients and exquisiteness, preferring to eat semi-cooked and raw food, and paying more attention to the preparation of sauces. There are many dishes in French cuisine, but the main ones we learned were pan-fried steak and roast lamb shank, as well as the distinction between different types of red wine. The French are very good at wine, and there are many things to pay attention to when you drink before a meal, what wine you drink when you eat a main course, and what wine you drink for dessert after a meal. Different main dishes are paired with different wines.

Italian cuisine is arguably the ancestor of European food culture, and is mainly fried, smoked, stewed and grilled, often served with olive oil, cheese, tomato and various spices. It is said that in Western countries, French restaurants represent high class, while Italian restaurants represent home-style taste. Italians also like pasta as much as the Chinese, and these are the two main dishes we learn: pasta and pizza.

British cuisine, like the British, likes to be both simple and polite. British cuisine is not difficult to make, and it is also dominated by family dishes, such as chicken salad, pudding and fish and chips. However, British cooking is told as a joke in European countries because it is so unsophisticated. However, the British are very particular about dining etiquette, and when we learn British cuisine, we also have to learn dining etiquette and service etiquette. From the simplest setting of plates and knives and forks, to the posture and polite language when serving, all must be meticulous and the standards are in place.

Finally, there is American food. American cuisine focuses on nutrition and speed, which is very suitable for their fast pace of life. American food is simpler than British food, and it is basically the same as foreign fast food: fried chicken, hamburgers, fries, etc. In addition, we will learn about the pie that Americans are most passionate about. Pie is also called pie, and there are meat-filled, vegetarian-filled, and fruit-filled, and apple pie is one of the representatives.

Western food is not as complicated as Chinese food, and there are basically several of them:

One, eat it raw. Westerners prefer to eat cold food, which includes the most primitive raw food, and the main ingredients are seafood, vegetables and fresh beef. Of course, the so-called raw food is not the kind of eating method that Ru Mao drinks blood, and it must be paired with some seasoned sauces and spices to be called a delicacy.

Second, fry. Westerners must use a frying pan instead of a Chinese-style round-bottomed cauldron, and the amount of oil smoke produced is relatively small. Meat and fish are commonly handled, with steak, pork and chicken chops being the most common recipes.

Three, fried. Deep-frying is also one of the most commonly used cooking methods in Western cuisine. To put it in an exaggerated sentence, it is "everything can be fried"! Fish, shrimp, meat, poultry, fruits, potatoes, onions, as long as they are coated in flour, they dare to fry in the pan. Deep-fried food is high in calories, so foreigners are prone to obesity, which is not a healthy eating habit. But the advantage is that the taste is good, the fragrance is enough, and the color is beautiful, which is most likely to arouse people's appetite and make people want to stop.

Fourth, baking, also known as baking, or baking, is often used to make bread, cakes, biscuits, pies and other western snacks, and the special kitchen utensils used are ovens. The practice of these Western staples is also a key subject for us to learn. Western-style baked rice is also popular in China, where butter, sauce and some side dishes are poured over the rice and heated at high temperatures.
