Chapter 13: The Swordsman

The journey out of King's Landing was far from as smooth as it had been.

In the convoy, the adults never paid attention to the orphans, because the night watchman didn't want girls, and the orphans hated the skinny leprosy.

That's right, after only one day on the road, the leper head became Arya's nickname.

She hated the nickname as much as she hated the Green Hand and the Hot Pie.

Green Hand is named Romy, an apprentice dyer, and his hands are dyed green from his hands to his elbows.

And Repai is a nasty fat man, because his mother is a baker who sells "Hot pie, hot pie!" on the street every day! Hot pie! This is also where his name comes from.

Normally, the convoy would be dense and surrounded by those adults, and these two people would not be too aggressive.

Only when they were separated from the large army, such as fetching water and making fires, would they exclude her.

Like now, while fetching water from the camp river, these two nasty guys came to taunt her head again.

Several times Arya tried to pull out her sewing needle and give him a sword, or find Yuren to cry and complain, but she resisted.

It's a pity that what Arya doesn't know is that even if she finds Yuren, Yuren won't care about children's disputes at the moment.

He had more distressing things to work out.

"How the hell did you keep up?"

Yu Lun frowned tightly, looked at the man with the half-section mask next to him, palms behind his back, and quietly grabbed the dagger on his waist.

At first, he thought it was a noble kid, and after listening to the bad poems written by a bard who didn't know which bitch raised, he rushed to join the Night's Watch in believing itβ€”something that had been very common before.

But then it dawned on Yoren that Robert was dead, even the new King Joffrey was dead, and there was a war going on outside, and it was no longer the Westeros it used to be.

So, Yolun thought that this was someone who wanted to infiltrate the Night's Watch and escape the guards to check and get out of the city.

But what Yu Lun didn't expect was that after leaving the city, this guy actually mixed into his team again, which made Yu Lun very puzzling.

How could someone who could evade the interrogation on their own need to blend into the ranks of the Night's Watch.

Don't...... Is there a house in the city that plans to plant a secret whistle for the night watch?

Yuren had to be suspicious.

After all, Tywin was at war with Robb, and if he could get the Night's Watch out of Castle Black and attack Winterfell from behind, he would be able to get down in one fell swoop.

Thinking of this, Yu Lun looked at Lin Yi again, and then shook his head decisively, vetoing the judgment just now.

No one was going to plant such a sentry, and the Night's Watch wasn't that important to them.

"Coming from behind, of course."

Lin Yi sat in the carriage without seeing it at all, revealing a smile in his black eyes.

"Yolun, your team is so scattered, you don't even know that there is one more person, and you have so much trouble, it's strange that you can walk to the Great Wall alive."

He seemed very self-familiar.

"This is the recruitment team of the Night's Watch, and no matter which lord it is, he will not have the right to intervene in the affairs of the Night's Watch."

Yu Lun snorted coldly, he didn't seem to pay attention to Lin Yi's word "trouble", and he seemed to hear it but pretended not to care.

"How long ago is this the old yellow calendar, do you think those 'newborns' in recent years will care about these ancient traditions?"

Lin Yi glanced at him, then turned his head, looked at the front of the road, and said with emotion.

"In the past, of course, the Night's Watch was a behemoth, in the first year of the Aegon calendar, the Night's Watch was spread all over the Great Wall that stretched for hundreds of miles, garrisoning nineteen castles, and the number of permanent residents was about 10,000, but now? How many castles do you have left, how many people are left? ”

It's strange to say, this guy is obviously covering most of his face, but Yu Lun can still see a trace of sarcasm on his face.

"Humph!" Yu Lun snorted coldly, "No matter how many people are left, the night watchman is still a night watchman and will never leave the Great Wall. ”

I didn't have time to leave the Great Wall.

Yoren said to himself that he knew something terrible was happening on the other side of the wall, and the Night's Watch didn't bother with the chaos to the south.

The thought of the moving corpse made Yulun feel his scalp tingle, and he had to find a wine jug to strengthen his courage.

"Don't worry, I'm not interested in you Night's Watch."

Lin Yi said with a smile.

"I just need a guide to take me to the Great Wall."

To the Great Wall?

Yuren raised an eyebrow, then shook his head.

"I advise you to give up, no matter what your idea is...... Trust me, that's not what you want to see. ”

As he spoke, Yulun unscrewed the flask and took a sip.

It stands to reason that he should take this person down first and then interrogate him, but for some reason, whenever Yoren wanted to pull out the dagger, his sharp instincts from dozens of experiences of life and death would make his scalp tingle.

"You just need to take me to the Great Wall, as for my life or death, it has nothing to do with you."

As he spoke, Lin Yi threw the dagger in his hand.

"But if you don't bring me to the Great Wall, then I can't guarantee your life or death......"

"You!"

Seeing the familiar dagger, Youlun straightened up from the carriage in shock, and touched his right hand behind his waist, and sure enough, he felt empty.

When?!

Lin Yi smiled and threw the dagger over casually, and Yu Lun was very careful not to pick it up with his hands, but waited for it to hit the ground before picking it up.

"If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead long ago." Lin Yi said calmly.

Yuren put away his dagger.

He believed it, he had never seen anyone snatch a dagger from an old night watchman in such a way as to laugh and talk.

Glancing at Arya behind her, Yuren muttered for a moment, then nodded.

β€œβ€¦β€¦ Yes, but I have to know why you want to go to the Great Wall. ”

"Because in the darkness, something has begun to wake up quietly......"

Lin Yi said in a quiet tone.

"If I'm not mistaken, have your Rangers started to go missing?"

β€œβ€¦β€¦ Against the wild people outside the walls, this kind of thing is inevitable. Yuren was secretly frightened.

"It's more than that." Lin Yi shook his head, "I don't know if you've ever seen that kind of thing, but I believe that the night watchmen who are still in Castle Black should have seen it......"

"......" Yu Lun's pupils shrank, and he asked quietly, "What have you seen?" ”

Lin Yi glanced at him with a deep gaze: "Those blue-eyed, moving corpses." ”

Blue Eyes!

Moving corpses!

Yu Lun's eyes widened in shock: "Who the hell are you?" ”

"Looks like you've seen it."

Lin Yi smiled, since he had seen it, the things that followed would be much easier.

"Tell me who you are, or I will never lead you to the Great Wall of Desperation!"

Yu Lun didn't deny it, but he still pulled out the steel sword at his waist, and his tone was very firm.

Compared to what moving corpses can represent, Stark's daughter is a trivial matter.

He has already realized that he has failed his old friend Ed.

"Okay......"

Lin Yi stretched out his finger and put it on the edge of the mask on the bridge of his nose,

"You've delayed your departure from town for a few days, you should have heard of me."

He concealed the fact that he had actually seen Yuren in the square.

"I don't know if you can recognize it, but this face is on a wanted warrant."

Lin Yi pulled down the mask on his face, revealing a face that was very different from that of the Westeros.

"As for who I am, I've heard a lot of different names in King's Landing these days, the nobles call me a dark wizard, the kingkiller, the commoners think I'm the thunder of the gods, and the wanted call me a 'demon with a red hand', but it's actually ......"

Lin Yi smiled slightly.

"I'm just a swordsman."
