Chapter 18: The Knight

"Turin, Turin, Heaven and Hell."

Reciting the familiar proverb, Oreo took his cane and walked across Ninth Street under the dim streetlights.

Running from Eighth Street to the north and Tenth Street to the south, Ninth Street plays the role of isolating most of the poor.

But the builders didn't seem to want outsiders to perceive this, so Ninth Street was designed to be long to obscure the change from rich to poor.

Pausing at the end of Ninth Street, Oreo fumbled in his pocket and eventually pulled out a brown pipe.

The pipe is carved from fine wood, but the pattern on the surface has been somewhat blurred, apparently the toning left over from years of use.

"Whew..."

After staring at the pipe for a long time, Oreo breathed a sigh of relief and put the pipe in his pocket.

He patted the hem of his crumpled coat, then jerked around, this time finally seeing the figure following him

- It's Angelil.

Angelyl stumbled out of the shadows and walked towards Oreo with her hands behind her back, hiding her embarrassment in a brisk tone.

"Mr. Oreo, it looks like you just came back from Eighth Street, how is it, did you see the situation at the scene?"

Oreo didn't answer her, he dusted the brim of his hat and strode in the direction of the office.

Angelyl hurried to catch up with Oreo and walk side by side with him.

"Hey, I'm just curious, you don't have to make a bad face with me like this."

Standing in front of the office, Oreo took a deep breath, as if he had made up his mind.

"Miss Angelyl, it's getting late, if it's all right, please come back."

"Lord Oreo!"

Seeing that Oreo was so indifferent, Angelil pursed her lips and changed to a formal title.

"You've been chatting in the teahouse all afternoon, have you forgotten what I asked you to do!"

After a moment of silence, Oreo raised his head and stared into Angelil's eyes with sharp eyes.

"I can't do everything... But you, Miss Angelyl, haven't you noticed anything all afternoon, in the Redstone Clubhouse? ”

In front of these eyes, Angelil couldn't avoid this series of questions at all, she frowned slightly, and pretended to be annoyed.

"It's me who asked you! And not you please me! ”

After a moment of silence, Oreo narrowed his eyes.

"Please? I really have something to ask you for. ”

Hearing Oreo's words, Angelyl pretended to be impatient, but judging from her slight tiptoe movements, it was clear that she was expecting something.

Oreo turned slowly, deliberately avoiding Angelil's pure eyes.

"I beg you not to bother me again, Miss Angelyl."

Hearing such hurtful words, Angelyl opened her mouth wide and looked incredulous, but that look quickly turned into anger.

"Oreo Plavel! This is what you owe me! ”

This sentence successfully caused Oreo to stop, and the wooden door of the office was only halfway open.

He propped his right hand on the wooden door, turned his head to look at Angelyl, and said in a calm voice.

"I owe Atifa nothing from any point of view,"

After a pause, Oreo added.

"Absolutely not."

This sentence completely angered Angelyl, and she yelled like a shrew.

"You took Atifa out of Turin, but you didn't bring her back! It's because she trusts you so much, it's you who are sorry for her! ”

The words slammed into Oreo's chest like a sharp knife, and he took half a step back, blood churning in his skull.

In the sound of blood rolling, he could even faintly hear the voice of the day, and the voice was calm and resolute.

- "Turin needs Oreo, you have to live." ”

Seeing Oreo's devastated appearance, Angelelle knew that she had won, but she was not as happy as she imagined.

Despite her guilt, Angelelle had no intention of apologizing to the man who killed her sister.

She rubbed the corners of her eyes and walked in the direction of Eleventh Street.

Unexpectedly, the sound of horses' hooves came from the end of the street, and just by listening to the footsteps, you knew that it was a good horse.

The street was so narrow that Angelil had to stop and retreat under the eaves of the office to look at the horse from afar.

On horseback sat a vague figure, with a cloak fluttering behind him, looking like a well-trained soldier.

No, it would be more accurate to describe it as a knight.

But here on Tenth Street, it stands to reason that such a character will never appear here.

In the blink of an eye, the knight was about to pass in front of the two of them, but he stopped.

The horse's head was raised high, and there was no sound other than the sound of the horse's hooves hitting the ground, which was simply incredible.

The knight on horseback turned over and dismounted in the narrow alleyway, greeting as he spoke.

"Young Master, Miss Angelyl."

It's him!

Angelil's eyes widened as she stared at the cloak flying behind Cuarón.

It wasn't a cloak at all, but a woman, who was lying on Caron's back, presumably her clothes and hair fluttering in the wind.

After a pause, Angelil greeted softly.

"Cuarón."

"You've come just in time," Cuarón patted the woman's arm, and she woke up slowly.

Hearing the familiar mutter, Angelil's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Katyusha?"

"Where is this?"

Katyusha said in a daze, staggering in her steps.

Angelyl hurriedly held Katyusha and asked hurriedly.

"Katyusha, what did the gang do with you?"

"Which group?"

Katyusha looked dazed, "I was unconscious after I got drunk, and as soon as I woke up, I was on Mr. Karon's back...... Is something going on? ”

"She's been drugged and doesn't know anything."

Cuarón explained.

After saying that, he patted the horse's buttocks, and the horse quickly disappeared at the end of the street, not knowing where it went.

"Miss Angelyl."

Oreo leaned against the door, his expression back to normal.

"Katyusha, I got it back for you, you still owe me 965 gold coins, but as long as you remember what I just said, this money will be written off."

Seeing Katyusha, Angelyl's heart was warm, but when she heard these natural words, she became angry again.

"Lord Oreo! If you can rescue the Katyusha, you can save the rest of the people, and even help the City Patrol recapture the safes! ”

This time Oreo ignored her completely, and Angelyl rushed to Oreo in anger, but was stopped by Cuarón.

The tall manservant said coldly.

"Miss Angelyl,"

These six words alone made Angelil's hands and feet cold and her legs tremble.

In the face of such a pitiful girl, Caron's tone remained the same.

"Additional business requires extra money, and you are not qualified to make any demands on the young master."
