The Legend of the Eighty-One Eight Glamorous Heavenly Demons (1)
Hello, dear readers!
It's time for us to update the text again and just want to be out of the water.
In fact, combined with the current progress of the text, we should first write about the scientific principles that may be contained in the fact that the priest was struck by lightning and actually cultivated the golden pill to become an immortal.
Who knew that the operation officer with the head of a tiger couldn't move as soon as he saw the word Heavenly Demon, so he forced us to take the 'Thunder Split into Immortals' extrapolation, and first carefully talked about the stories behind these Heavenly Demons.
Okay, listen to people's advice to eat enough, but where should we start?
First of all, this 'heavenly demon' comes from Buddhism's theory of the Three Realms and Six Realms, that is, Buddhism divides the world into 'desire realm', 'color realm' and 'colorless realm'.
Hence the name, the inhabitants of the 'colorless realm' have no desires and no desires, and can attain great freedom, which is naturally the 'Western Elysium' under the leadership of the Buddha and Bodhisattva.
Slightly inferior to the 'Colorless Realm' is the 'Colour Realm', that is, the temporary residence of the 'Quasi-Western Heaven' inhabitants who have initially let go of some of their desires; the inhabitants of the Colour Realm can be promoted to the 'Colorless Realm' after the Buddha's final test, and if they fail to pass the test, they will fall back into the 'Lust Realm'.
And the sentient beings who live in the lowest 'desire realm' at the bottom of the Three Realms are forced to suffer, and they are tortured by love, hatred, lust, and lust every day.
In order to save the beings who were sinking into the sea of suffering, the Buddha divided the realm of desire into the upper three realms, namely 'heaven, man, and asura', and the lower three realms of 'hell', 'beasts', and 'evil ghosts'.
Isn't there such a saying? The boundless sea of bitterness turns back to the shore, puts down the butcher's knife and becomes a Buddha.
Even if it is a deceased soul who is suffering in hell, as long as he sincerely repents, the Buddha will come to his rescue and give the repentant a chance to mend his life and get rid of the realm of desire.
However, it should be noted that the "Buddha" of the "Buddha" who put down the butcher's knife and became a "Buddha" on the ground is not a Buddha who lives in the "colorless realm", but a sincere repentance, has been initially understood by the Buddha, and has become a typical example of positive transformation, which means that he has performed quite well recently.
It is not to say that criminals with bloody hands can become Buddhas once they repent, and then the Buddhas are too worthless.
Why, exactly, it's all an ancient Sanskrit pot.
In ancient Sanskrit, the word 'Buddha' means good and beautiful, while 'demon' means evil and ugly, which is the same meaning as the English custom of calling lucky people who are lucky enough to be lucky...... People are accustomed to expressing it like this, saying that your dog is envious and jealous of you, not really scolding you for being a dog.
Therefore, translators who translate foreign language works must first have a certain understanding of the local customs and folk culture, otherwise it is easy to make jokes.
After talking so much, we actually want to tell you that Buddhism divides each of the six realms of desire into two paths: good and evil, good and bad (Buddha and demon...... The so-called 'Heavenly Demons' are the group of people who are particularly bad at performing in the Heavenly Dao of the Desire Realm and always follow the Demon Dao!
So why did the Buddha 'annoy' the heavenly demons so much?
It is because these heavenly demons are specifically working against the Buddha: the Buddha wants to save the beings of the six realms who have fallen into the realm of desire, and the heavenly demons are specially engaged in sabotage behind their backs, so that the sentient beings will fall deeper in the realm of desire.
The most typical example is the fall of the 'asura'.
In fact, there were originally only five realms in the realm of desire: heaven, human, hell, beasts, and evil ghosts, and the 'asuras' were a group of demigods who the Buddha spent a lot of effort to persuade the good and vowed to become the Buddha's protector (that is, bodyguard).
Naturally, this bodyguard must live in the 'colorless realm' with the protected leader to enjoy happiness, otherwise what is the point of protecting the leader?
As a result, on the way to the colorless realm en masse, the Asuras were cut off halfway by the Heavenly Demon King Bo Xun and his subordinates, and finally the clan fell into the realm of desire under the temptation of the Heavenly Demon's beauty...... If it weren't for the Buddha's fordency of speaking evil, he would have said, 'How is your mother?' 'Greetings back and forth.
Since this is the case, I might as well mention two more allusions in passing.
Legend has it that the Heavenly Demon King Bo Shun is the old rival of the Buddha family, who once incarnated as the three stunning beauties of 'love', 'desire' and 'thought' to seduce and harass Shakyamuni who was enlightened under the Bodhi tree, and did everything possible to prevent the Buddha from becoming a Buddha.
The Heavenly Demon not only harassed and interfered with the Buddha's meditation meditation, but also tempted and tortured the Buddha's disciples many times, such as shrinking his body and sneaking into the belly of the Arhat, not only jumping up and down to torture others, but also making the Arhat's mother mistakenly think that the reason for her son's abdominal pain was that the food he ate was unclean, so in a fit of anger she knocked over the fast meal that the people gave alms to worship the Buddha.
Later, the mother of the Arhat fell into hell and was punished for wasting food in her lifetime, and in order to save her mother, the Arhat bravely went to hell alone, and finally released her mother and a group of hungry ghosts who were suffering and suffering, so that they could have a full meal in the last life.
This is the second Buddhist scripture of 'Mu Jian Lian to save the mother', and it is also the origin of the custom of believers in the past to give fasting meals to support the souls of the deceased.
One more thing to say, the story of the Heavenly Demon King Bo Xun drilling the eyes of the Arhat belly gradually evolved into the story of Sun Wukong drilling the iron fan princess's belly and borrowing the banana fan, and the male and female genders were directly reversed, which is really good and powerful.
It is precisely because the Buddha did not want to see the heavenly demons that the original 'Heavenly Demon Dance' was actually a healthy dance program to entertain the Buddha, and the main intention was to show that the heavenly demons realized the various mistakes they had made before, so they went to the Buddha to dance in front of the Buddha in fear and admit their mistakes.
Of course, the Heavenly Demon will definitely not come to dance and admit his mistakes, so the 'Heavenly Demon Dance' is just a blind self-congratulatory obscenity of the believers.
However, in the process of transmission and evolution, this dance, which was originally dedicated to entertaining the Buddha, gradually deviated from its original intention, and slowly added a lot of bewitching movements such as 'Bo Xun Rao Buddha'......
In this way, the revised version of the Heavenly Demon Dance was even more popular with the ruling class of the Yuan Dynasty, and the number of performers increased again and again until the "Sixteen Heavenly Demon Dance" appeared during the reign of Emperor Yuan Shun.
It is said that at the beginning of the year, a vassal king named Zhu Youlian had seen this kind of "Sixteen Heavenly Demon Dance" initiated by Emperor Yuan Shun, and wrote three poems in a row to sing praise, one of which was 'Carrying the Lotus Palm Dancing Heavenly Demon, Twenty-eight Jiaowa Saiyue'e'.
It is not difficult to see that the performers of "Sixteen Heavenly Demon Dances" are mainly beautiful girls of fifteen or sixteen, and in the process of dancing, there are often "modern yoga" movements similar to "modern yoga" that flip their palms and limbs behind their bodies to show their excellent body flexibility.
Wow, it's really rare for a girl with such a flexible and soft body to take Zhu Youlian, who was born in a noble family, into prisoner at once.
According to the research of historians, in the Dunhuang Grottoes, the construction year of the No. 417-483 grotto belongs to the Yuan Dynasty, and the action of the Buddha carving in the No. 465 grotto is identified as the action in the "Sixteen Heavenly Demon Dance".
Out of curiosity, I went online to check the information of the Buddha carving in Cave No. 465; And the first time I saw the photo, I had a very strong feeling: this "Sixteen Heavenly Demon Dance" should be very similar to today's 'belly dance' or 'snake dance' in the Middle East.
If my speculation is true, then "Sixteen Days of Demon Dance" is really a music show that cannot be performed in front of the public, and its content is really 'unspeakable, unspeakable'.
Okay, the bookbag is finally hanging, let's get to the point, that is, what kind of people are the 'Heavenly Demons'?
From the definition of 'Heavenly Demon' as one of the three upper realms, it can be seen that 'Heavenly Demon', like 'Asura', is some demigods or elves whose skills are above mortals and usually likes to live with mortals, or practitioners who have awakened from human beings.
Unlike the 'Asura', whose appearance is somewhat unflattering, the appearance of the 'Heavenly Demon' is very much in line with the aesthetics of human beings, especially men, which is also one of the evidences that the 'Heavenly Demon' is mainly derived from the advanced cultivation of human beings.
In addition, the 'Heavenly Demon' has an organizational structure similar to that of human society, such as having a fixed habitat 'Heavenly Demon Realm', obeying the leadership of the only Heavenly Demon Queen, Bo Xun, and so on.
However, the 'asuras' are a group of militants who even have muscles in their heads, they have no fixed territory, they always like to fight wherever they go, and they do not have a fixed leader, and generally the four major asura kings 'Bhazi', 'Fara Chenda', 'Rahu' and 'Vira' are produced by regular appointments.
All indications show that the 'Heavenly Demons' mainly come from the 'advanced' of human beings, rather than those demigods and elves who could not fight with human beings.
Now the question arises, how can human beings cultivate into 'heavenly demons'?
First of all, most of the 'Heavenly Demons' who appear outside the Heavenly Demon Realm are rare and stunning women, and these 'girls' seem to have their own 'Pan Jinlian' attributes, often seducing ordinary people and her for a Spring Festival.
Why do you say the Heavenly Demon is like this...... What about hunger and thirst?
Besides, it's not easy to sleep with a man? Recommend yourself to those powerful princes and nobles, and with the beauty of the heavenly demons, you will ensure that the mandarin pillow will not be empty in the future.
However, the fact is that the 'Heavenly Demon', which has always been the ultimate goal of seducing men to sleep, rarely appears in the back houses of princes, nobles, celebrities, and merchants, but those poor young people who are hungry all day long can often get the favor of the 'Heavenly Demon'.
There is a story about a poor young man near the Acropolis of Piroja who sells water to the townspeople every day to make a living, and he happened to meet a beautiful and mysterious young woman at night.
After a night of frustration, the girl hurriedly put on her clothes and left before dawn, and when she left, she agreed with 'Zhuguang Luoche' to come back tonight and go to Wushan with her.
After a night of sleeplessness, 'Zhuguang Roche' wanted to lie down and sleep after the girl left, but 'Coo'' thundering stomach pulled him up from the bed.
So 'Zhuguang Luoche' had no choice but to cheer up and go to the river to fetch water and sell it in the city.
It is also the temple in the Acropolis of Viloja that takes care of the business of 'Zhuguang Roche' on this day.
When 'Zhuguang Luoche' poured all the water from the water bladder on his back into the water tank in the temple, an elderly presiding monk stepped forward and took the initiative to ask: "Child, I see that you have a demon on your face, who did you meet yesterday?" ”
After Zhuguang Luoche told the agreement between him and the girl, the old monk was shocked and said, "Son, you have met the Heavenly Demon, and she will take you away tonight and harm you...... You must not go home now, but you must spend the night chanting in front of the Buddha statue to pray for the protection of the Buddha. ”
Isn't that unlucky? I didn't sleep last night, but I got in tonight.
However, the old monk did not seem to deceive the 'Zhuguang Luoche', after a night of chanting, the beautiful girl who had been with him once disappeared from Wushan Yunyu, leaving only the 'Zhuguang Luoche' alone to continue to live a miserable life of 'starving without a meal' and without a wife.
According to me, it's better to let the Heavenly Demons take it away, at least the two desires of 'eating color' can satisfy at least one of them.
Wait, there seems to be something wrong with this story...... Damn, that old monk bought water, and didn't pay 'Zhuguang Luoche'!
