Chapter VII

Early in the morning, Deli woke up to a call amid.

"Deere, Deere...... Wake up. Gray whispered her name and shook her shoulders.

Deli was woken up, she rubbed her sleepy eyes, and asked, "Gray...... What's wrong? Why wake me up so early? ”

Gray looked at her, "Don't you want to go to the dining room?" ”

Di Li was stunned, and for a moment she fell asleep.

They hurriedly got dressed and walked down from the second floor.

Gray and Deere paused for a few seconds at the door before opening the door to the dining room, and glanced at each other.

"Open the door, Gray." Deli said.

Gray slid open the glass door of the dining room, and their eyes fell directly on the marble dining table.

The table was empty, and the shiny table reflected the reflection of the person – exactly as it was after dinner yesterday.

Gray exhaled lightly, shrugged his shoulders and said, "I knew there was no such thing as a strange thing." ”

Deli looked up at him, "Gray, what do you mean by that?" ”

Gray pursed his lips and smiled at Deeley, "I mean, dear, it looks like you're going to have to make your own breakfast." ”

"Gray, I don't think it's funny." "Oh my God, now you're more convinced that I was dreaming yesterday, aren't you?" ”

"Look, Deere, I said it yesterday, and I've never disbelieved you." "But since there's nothing strange going on, let's go about our lives, shall we?" ”

Dili sighed and felt that there was nothing to say.

Today's breakfast was peanut porridge, barbecue sausage and bread. It took Dili less than half an hour to get it ready and brought it to the table.

Gray took a bite of the peanut porridge and complimented, "It tastes good, Deeley." ”

Deli held her head in her hand and turned the spoon in the bowl without saying a word.

After a while, she asked, "Gray, did you hear the dog bark last night?" ”

"Huh?" Gray took a sip of porridge and looked up.

"I mean, did you hear Kaz screaming in the middle of the night last night?"

Gray thought for a moment, then shook his head and said, "I didn't hear that. What, you heard? ”

"Yes, it screamed for about two or three minutes and woke me up."

Gray frowned, "It's strange, Kaz isn't a barking dog. ”

"I think so too, so I don't understand why it called last night."

"Hmm...... Think about it. "Maybe it's trying to fall in love?" ”

"Gray, can you be a little more serious?"

"I'm serious, my dear. I mean, it's not in heat again. ”

Di Li raised her eyebrows: "Hmm...... Maybe yes. ”

"Alright, Deere, don't be nervous. It's not unusual for a dog to bark a few times in the middle of the night. Gray wiped his mouth, got up from his chair, walked over to Dilly, and kissed her on the cheek, "I have to go to work." ”

Deli smiled at him and nodded.

After Gray left, Dilly cleaned the dishes and put them away in the cupboard. Then I walked to the second-floor bedroom, picked up a book, walked to the lounger on the balcony, and sat down.

Today's weather is gloomy and sunny, and it looks very cold.

Dilly picked up the book and began to read.

Ten minutes later, she closed the book and let out a long sigh. She found that she couldn't concentrate at all, and her whole mind was thinking about one thing-

The storage room that you can't enter.

What's hidden there? Why did Gray's father repeatedly explain that he must not go in, and when Gray mentioned it, he seemed so frightened and uneasy?

A series of questions plagued Dilly and distraught her.

Finally, she put down her book, left the room, and walked involuntarily towards the storage room on the far right.

There are no lights in the hallway, plus the weather is very bad today. Deli walked alone in the dimly lit hallway, feeling a little frightened. She emboldened herself and finally walked to the storeroom.

It is an old wooden door, and on the door, there is a traditional old-fashioned iron lock that locks the door tightly.

Dilly stood in front of the door for a moment, and felt a chill come over her. She shuddered, didn't dare to stay any longer, and turned to leave.

The moment she turned around, Dilly's foot touched something soft, and the sudden touch made her "Ah! The ground screamed, and his heart tightened violently.

When she looked closely, she realized that she had encountered the Scottish dog Katz, who had appeared behind Dili unknowingly.

The frightened Dili was about to breathe a sigh of relief when she suddenly noticed that the big dog was looking up at her with her head up, looking at her with a fierce gaze - a look that didn't look like a dog, but like a man!

Deeli felt a chill down her spine, she didn't dare to look at Kaz again, she looked away from it, and quickly left the place and walked to the bedroom door.

Deli opened the bedroom door and walked in, and she found Kaz in the doorway, staring at her without blinking. She quickly closed the door.

Deli threw herself on the bed, breathing a sigh of relief, her mind in turmoil.

After a few minutes, she sat up from her bed and listened intently to the movement outside the houseβ€”she wondered if Kaz was still standing guard at the door.

Suddenly, Deli had a strange idea - this dog, could it be that he was guarding something?
