CHAPTER XIX

Dee Li rushed out of the bedroom, found a hammer in the small room next to her, and rushed to the pantry like crazy.

Standing in the doorway, Deli took a deep breath - tonight, she must know the secrets of this storeroom!

With all her strength, Dilly slammed the hammer into the lock. "Dang!" There was a loud bang, and the iron lock was smashed to the ground.

Suddenly, an inexplicable courage rose in Dilly's heart, and she felt that she was not afraid of anything, and pushed the door open—

It was pitch black inside the storeroom, and Dilly fumbled around the wall to find the light switch. With a "snap", the lights turned on.

This pantry was stacked with miscellaneous items, everything covered in a thick layer of ash. Directly across from the room is an old-fashioned desk.

Dee Li slowly walked to the dusty desk, stroking her hand up and down the top and drawer, then took a sharp breath and pulled open the top drawer.

Inside the drawer, there was a yellowed photograph lying quietly, and Dee Li reached over and carefully picked it up—

This is a group photo of a large family, with more than a dozen people taking this villa as the background. In the center of the photo, an elderly couple sits on two large wooden chairs. Behind them were middle-aged, young people and children, apparently their children and grandchildren. In the lower left corner of the photograph is a line of small white letters: 1962 family photo.

Deeli scrutinized the people in the photograph one by one, trying to find people related to Gray, such as his parents, grandfather, grandfather...... But she was surprised to find that none of the people in the photo looked like Gray in the slightest. Just when Di Li was puzzled, she saw a person in the photo, which made her creepy for a moment-

Behind the old woman in the middle stood a woman of about forty years of age, with a palm-sized scar on her left cheek. Because it's a black and white photo, I can't tell what color the scar is.

Dee Li remembered that Shak had said that he had seen a woman with a red scar on her face in the mirror.

Suddenly, it was as if Dilly had been struck by an electric current. Her scalp was numb, her whole body was shaking, and she almost stopped breathing—could it be that Shak was seeing......

She quickly looked away, not daring to look at the woman with the scar on her face - suddenly, Deli spotted something in an inconspicuous corner of the photograph that surprised her even more, her eyes widened, and she unconsciously covered her mouth with her hand.

On the far left of the photo, she sees a large yellow and white dog. That dog, who looks exactly like Kaz - no, that's Kaz at all!

Deli took the picture and took a few steps back, her mind buzzing and a mess.

Here is a photo from 1962, Kaz...... Lived for more than forty years? But it's just a dog! And that woman, is she really a ghost? And she should be at least 80 years old, obviously not Gray's wife!

By the way, in the bathroom just now, she clearly saw that Kaz didn't drink the milk she poured in the bowl at all - could it be that it called every night and had nothing to do with milk at all?

However, every morning when she wakes up, she notices that the bowl in which Kaz drinks water is empty.

A series of questions overwhelmed Dilly, and she felt dizzy and almost fainted—

What's going on with all this?
