Chapter 13: Letter from Hogwarts
"You sent me a greeting card!" Harry stopped his movements and looked at Alan with a shocked expression. You know, no one has ever written to Harry at such an age.
"Yes, now we are going to stop the postman, or the letter will not reach you. Alan was also surprised by Harry's excitement, and reflected that he still didn't care enough about his friends.
"Hello, are there any Harry Potter letters?" said Allen, stopping the postman.
"Let me see, there is indeed a letter addressed to Mr. Harry Potter. The courier took out the letter from the pouch and looked at it.
"I'm Harry Potter, can you give me the letter?" asked Harry hopefully.
"Can you give me any proof of your identity, such as a birth certificate, passport, or proof of home address?" the courier was very polite and discreet. It is important to know that in the UK, letters proving the home address are very important and cannot be handed over to others.
"I didn't, it's all with my aunt, but I'm really Harry Potter. Harry was desperate to prove himself.
"Yes, I can prove that he is Harry Potter himself, and so can Alan. Flegg said hurriedly.
"I'm sorry, but if you don't have a valid ID to prove your identity, I have to drop it off in the mailbox where the letter is addressed. You won't lose your letters. The courier said that he would follow the rules and regulations, and bypassed Harry and the three of them.
"Alan, think of a way!" Flegg looked at Eren urgently.
Alan shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do about it, he couldn't rob the postman for a letter that Harry was bound to receive.
Harry followed the postman closely, and the mailbox clicked, knowing that all the letters had slipped onto the footmitter at the door of the house. He didn't get his hands on the letter. A hint of despair rose in Harry's heart, and there was some anger that could not be vented.
"Trust me Harry, you're going to see that letter. Alan stepped forward and patted Harry on the shoulder, comforting him.
Not to mention how the three of them ran wild in the neighborhood and how they celebrated Harry's birthday, not to mention how Harry battled with Dursley when he went back to get the letter, and how he was surprised and delighted to meet Hagrid and learn that he was a little wizard, and how Alan received the letter when he returned home.
"Alan, congratulations!" Alan pushed open the door and was greeted by a spray of streamers, the room was decorated in a colorful way, the fireworks from the wand and the colorful foam that was constantly spewing out made the room brilliant and dreamlike. Allen's family greeted Allen with big smiles behind the door, and Mrs. Harris and Daisy came out of the kitchen pushing a huge cake. This scene made Alan feel extremely warm and happy, and his eyes seemed to have been soaked in tears of joy, shining brightly, reflecting this happy scene, and even more radiant.
Emily took Alan's bag and put it away, and Mr. Harris came over and handed Alan a letter in a thick parchment with an address written in emerald green ink and no stamps. Alan flipped the envelope over, revealing a wax seal, a shield coat of arms, and a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake surrounded by a capital "H."
"Congratulations, Alan, you've received an offer of admission to Hogwarts. Take it apart and take a look. Mrs. Harris said lovingly.
The letter informed the little wizard of what to bring and precautions for the start of school. After reading it, Alan handed the letter to Mrs. Harris, and although everyone had read the letter many times, they could not help but pass it on to each other, and Mr. Harris immediately said that he would seal the letter and keep it forever.
The family sat happily at the dinner table, eating delicious dishes such as grilled mushrooms, fried sausages, and butter cakes made by Mrs. Harris and Daisy, while talking about all kinds of Hogwarts anecdotes.
"I wonder which house my brother will be into?" asked Emily expectantly.
"No matter which house you are in, you should study hard, you must know that you are not assigned to any house and you only have the merits of that house, even if you are assigned to Slytherin, which is known for its ambition and desire for power, you can have the bravery of Gryffindor, the stoic honesty of Hufflepuff, and the wisdom and erudition of Ravenclaw. Mr. Harris spoke earnestly, and Allen felt that this was an old saying, and nodded his head to be taught. You know, Snape, who was born in Slytherin, was just as loyal and stoic, erudite and heroic.
"But how do you know which house you can be assigned to?" asked the little sister Emily curiously.
All the people in the family looked at her with smiles, and Mrs. Harris stroked the soft blonde hair of her youngest daughter and said, "You'll know when the time comes." ”
Growing up is always expected and blessed, and in the presence of the whole family, Alan sends a letter replying to Hogwarts through Edward, the owl at home, with the expectation of a new life.
At the same time, Harry also received a birthday cake from Hagrid, knowing his background, he wore Hagrid's coat and ate fragrant toasted and oily sausages, as if in a dream, he was a little wizard, he was going to a top wizarding school, not some Stonewall Middle School, he could leave this home that made him feel depressed! At the same time, he thought of his friends Alan and Fleg, and they were going to be separated from them, not in the same school, not in the same city, and they would make new friends, yes, Alan was so good, Fleg was so cheerful, they were luminous in the crowd, so endearing...... Thinking about this, Harry couldn't help but feel a little sad.
At this moment, the window of the dilapidated hut standing on the reef made a "knock" sound, Harry looked at it, it was an owl, he Harry had already known that this animal was a cute messenger after the day's magical letter bombardment, he rolled over, ran over and reached out to open the window, a strong sea breeze immediately blew in his face, the owl was staggered by this strong wind, but still stubbornly struggled to fly to the armrest of the broken sofa, tilted his head to look at Harry, as if asking Harry why he didn't come to open the letter.
This is a very strong owl, it is wet all over, and it is not difficult to imagine how many winds and waves it has fought in such bad weather. Though it was exhausted, it stubbornly straightened up and stared at Harry with a piercing gaze before it had completed its mission.
"Go and untie the letter on its leg, it's not easy to fly over in this weather. What a loyal messenger!" Hagrid admired, urging Harry to hurry and open the letter.
Harry hurriedly walked over, and the owl stretched out its left leg, and tied a small roll of parchment with a red cloth rope on it, and miraculously, in such a stormy weather, the rope and parchment were actually very dry, without a trace of water!
Whose letter is this and to whom is it being sent?
