Chapter 82: The Relic

It rains, dripping, adding to the earth the unique faint and meandering beauty of countless ink paintings, which is the most wonderful raindrop, which is just right, which not only meets the needs of the growth of crops, but also does not wet the clothes of Xingrao.

This should have been a quiet time, when Runzhi and his party ran the temple, it was dusk, and between the peaks around the Shaolin Temple, there was a layer of faint white fog everywhere.

Some uninteresting tourists came, and were blocked at the door by the monks of Shaolin Temple, so they got together in private, or scolded Huai, or scolded directly.

A light drizzle is like a mist.

The abbot was already wearing a brand-new robe, and he lined up in two long rows at the door, and he was at the front of the line to welcome the arrival of Runzhi and his party.

"You're the abbot, we're in a big place."

Haozi stepped forward and showed him a gold medal, which was not the death-free gold medal used by Runzhi before, but the personal token of the governor Darao specially equipped by the imperial court for the governor of Henan.

  "Poor monk, see Lord Governor!"

The abbot is a little old, but the old eyes are still very bright, at a glance he saw the gold medal on the "governor, the royal gold medal", eight words, and saw a group of people catching the head of the officer, dressed extraordinary, thinking that this is the governor, busy kneeling down.

Seeing that the abbots all knelt down, the monks who were naturally standing on both sides to greet him all knelt down in unison.

Runzhi is deep down in his heart, and he feels funny because the Shaolin Temple is so cheesy.

"Abbot, please, have you received the letter from this official to you?"

"In reply to Da Rao, the letter was received a few days ago"

"Oh, it's not early today, I don't know where it's more fun at dusk in Shaolin Temple?"

Qing'er suddenly interjected, with infinite joy in her tone.

For Qing'er, it is not easy to come to Shaolin Temple.

During the Yongzheng period, a girl's family did not dare and would not go out to play around alone, even if she had a companion, most of them walked around less than ten kilometers away from home.

In this way, being able to play in a well-known place thousands of miles away from home is the elation in Qing'er's heart.

"Please come with me, there is indeed a first-class good place in the Shaolin Temple at this moment, it is in this temple, just suitable for viewing at the moment"

"Oh, what's the name of this attraction?"

  "The so-called Tallinn"

Runzhi and the abbot walked along, because no one else had been allowed to enter along the way, so it was very quiet, the green willow trees quietly opened their branches on both sides, and all kinds of flowers bloomed freely.

To Runzhi's surprise, there are also a lot of peach trees planted in the Shaolin Temple, and in the peach forest, the pink peach blossoms are blooming brilliantly, attracting a large number of bees and butterflies, which is extremely lively, it is simply dizzying.

It seems that there are such talents in Shaolin Temple who know how to understand beauty and can cultivate beauty, which is commendable, Runzhi thought silently in his heart, and he already felt very emotional in his heart.

Walking quietly along a road more than a meter wide, and then the road gradually widened, and tall stone towers appeared, about a few hundred.

"When you arrive, it's the cluster, and the cluster is called Tallinn, and it's closely related to these towers. These pagodas contain the golden body relics of the Buddha Gautama Siddhartha, the relics, the color is empty, the empty is the color, everything is nothing, where to stir up dust, according to legend, under these pagodas, there are buried Buddha's personal relics, there are also some relics after the death of the monks, Amitofu"

The old monk led everyone to a pagoda, the pagoda here is also strange, there are big, there are high and bottom, very different, all kinds of pagodas according to the scale, the big and the big one, the more there are dozens, the more and the one, there are about more than three hundred, the most is those who are not big, there are about no less than a thousand.

"Relics, I have seen in books, so after the death of those enlightened monks, their whole body corpses were painted with mud, and then on the outside of these mud, gradually built a pagoda, and after the body of these monks turned into soil, their white bones are relics, and the relics of the abbot Buddha should be the bones of Shakyamuni after his death."

Qing'er seems to feel very proud of her mechanism, with a sense of relaxation and pleasure between her words, and indeed coming to Shaolin Temple will give people a high relaxing effect, those all kinds of Buddha statues with teeth and claws, those pasted all kinds of Buddhist scriptures and legends about Buddha, those wisps of cigarettes that are still burning. will give people a special kind of good fortune

"What the female donor said is true, it is true, the relics are under my Buddhism, after the death of the monks of all generations, the soul leaves the body and enters this relic, which can avoid the pain of the four reincarnations, and at a certain time you can incarnate into a golden Arhat, so as to achieve flying and feathering into a Buddha"

The old abbot continued, with a special sense of compassion in his tone, which made people very emotional, as if it was impregnated with a very old knowledge, and it was so profound and full of hidden mystery.

In Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, Buddhism is unique to a kind of illusion and mystery.

It is no wonder that many outstanding talents since ancient times will choose to take refuge in Buddhism when they are old, and escape into the empty door, thinking that it is actually closely related to the Buddha's family, which is full of a kind of compassion and forgiveness.

"Then what kind of monk can be regarded as a monk?"

Qing'er is still very interested in these, this is because the Buddhist scriptures full of mystery and some Buddhist scriptures mixed with compassion are the most easy to attract women's attention, so there are not a few women who choose to become monks since ancient times.

"Amitofu, my Buddha is compassionate, whoever really sees suffering, will also see the emergence of suffering, will also see the cessation of suffering, and will also see the way of cessation of suffering, those who can transcend the eleven kinds of suffering, transcend the many pleasures of the world, understand that happiness is suffering, suffering is suffering, everything is suffering, all beings are suffering, beyond the shackles of the cycle of birth and death, and reach the selflessness of me, only then can I attain the Buddha and become a high monk."

The abbot pondered for a while, and then turned a string of Buddhist beads in his hand, as if he was reciting the words of the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra in the Buddhist scriptures, and it seemed to be his own understanding of getting a high monk, which always sounded quite reasonable.

It is true that in the world, everyone has seven emotions and six desires, and because the seven emotions and six desires are not satisfied, all the suffering in the world will inevitably arise, so all sentient beings are suffering.

Therefore, some people are born to suffer, so babies are born crying into this world, and such words are actually a popular version of those words from the mouth of the abbot.

But is that really the case?

In fact, it is not necessarily true, everything in the world has its own regularity, and all behaviors that violate its laws will inevitably produce the punishment of nature, such as raining without an umbrella will be wet in the rain, and in winter when it snows without wearing a thick cotton jacket in the ice and snow, there is a danger of freezing to death, and the most popular people will definitely starve to death if they don't eat.

Only by naturally recognizing these laws can we better abide by these laws, and only then can people be truly happy in the world, and people in this world will always have more or less misunderstandings when exploring this world, and these misunderstandings are the root of all suffering in the world.
