Chapter 29: Life and Death
The contemporary poet Zang Kejia once commemorated the 13th anniversary of Mr. Lu Xun's death and wrote a catchy and well-known poem, "Some People".
In this poem, the poet does not use those overly ornate and superficial words to carry out an excessive embellishment and description, but uses extremely highly condensed and concise language throughout the whole poem.
It is easy to understand and can be quickly understood, but as long as you read it word by word, and then ponder it so carefully, you can make people realize that there is a different mystery hidden under those simple words, and it can not help but arouse people's deep thinking.
Among them, there is one sentence that is the most familiar and widely circulated -
"Some people are alive, and he is dead, and some people are dead, and he is still alive."
In these four short sentences, there are only nineteen words, but there are two references to "living" and twice "dead".
However, the words "alive" and "dead" in each sentence have different meanings.
For example, the first word "live" appears to mean that the human body is still alive, but that is all it means is that it can breathe and walk, and it is useless.
And the other word "living" after him says that although the human body no longer exists in this world, the human spirit does not disappear because of this, but exists in a way that transcends the physical body.
Let's talk about the meaning of "death".
In the verse, the first "death" says that the human body still has a temperature, which can be seen and touched by everyone in the world. But at the same time, it lacks its own soul, and it is incomplete, just like the "walking dead", looking like a "half-human and half-ghost".
On the contrary, the second word "death" is really just no breathing, the human body is dead, and the intuitive meaning of being sparked or buried has no other special meaning.
"Living" and "dead", the number of words is not much, it is not difficult to write, and it is very easy to recognize, and even the apparent meaning is clear at a glance.
But the poet Zang Kejia analyzed the four different understandings from these two words.
In his writing, "living" and "dead" are no longer just opposites, but at the same time, there is a unified and close relationship.
This seemingly profound and incomprehensible practical problem is clearly reflected in the vast number of living beings in the human world and in a certain part of the people.
They have been in a state of confusion, waking up like a dream, combining this "living" and "dead" cleverly and tightly binding, and integrating them into their own blood and life.
They are "alive" and even more "dead".
And the girl is one of them.
The girl never quite understands whether she is "alive" or "dead"; What kind of "life" is it, or what kind of "death" is it?
In their most superficial form.
If you want to "live", you have to eat.
Only in this way can you have strength and enough energy; This is the only way to be able to breathe fully, and the heart and pulse must be beating.
These are the fundamental needs of all human beings who "live".
Just as a sentence of Confucius recorded in the "Book of Rites and Rites" said, "Men and women eat and drink, and people want to survive."
Appetite and love between men and women are man's greatest desires, and they are also a kind of human nature and nature.
The love between men and women is not to be discussed, but this appetite, the girl is completely abandoned.
The girl is now giving up eating, which means giving up her desires and giving up her nature.
Isn't it against the principles of heaven that a girl has lost her nature and has lost the medium through which she relied to survive in this world?
So, is the girl still "alive"?
But if it is not "alive", it is "dead", but as long as the girl speaks, she can be heard; As long as it appears, it can be seen; There is breathing, there is temperature.
It can be seen that girls are not "alive", let alone "dead".
It's just that "living" and "dead" are tied together, making the two one. Let yourself become a half-dead person who is "neither dead nor alive".
"Ah......h
The girl could no longer suppress the anguish in her heart, and screamed. Then, she crouched down and covered her face, her body twitching.
Hot tears slowly flowed from the corners of his eyes, not dripping, but he was hindered by his palm.
Between her fingers, the girl mixed with tears, and once again vaguely saw the numbers on the scale.
47.4kg, that's the cause of the girl's growing sin, or maybe it starts with the previous 50kg.
