In September 1973, I was born in a remote mountain village in the south of the Yangtze River, with a beautiful environment, beautiful scenery, the land of Jiangxi, the former place of Xinwu, belonging to Fengxin County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, not far from the provincial capital Nanchang.

"The treasure of the heavens, the outstanding people", "the autumn water is the same color as the sky, the sunset and the lonely bird fly together", Wang Bo's famous article "The Preface to the Pavilion of the King of Vines" depicts the magnificent scenery, which is the grand scenery of the land of Jiangxi.

My hometown is located in the Poyang Lake Basin, and it is not too much to describe my hometown as a scene of extreme praise from poets. There have been many famous people here in history, the most famous is Song Yingxing, the author of "Heavenly Creation", and he is the ancestor of my family.

This small mountain village where he was born has a mythical name called Phoenix Mountain. However, there has never been a legend of a phoenix, nor has there been a story of a phoenix, just a small hill on which a nunnery sits.

At that time, the township was called the commune, the village was called the production brigade, and the group was called the production team, which was generally referred to as the brigade or team. The small mountain village where I was born is called the Phoenix Mountain Team, plus the provinces, cities and counties, its full name is the Fengyuan Production Brigade of Fengyuan Production Brigade of Huibu Commune, Fengxin County, Yichun District, Jiangxi Province.

Geographically speaking, Phoenix Mountain belongs to Yuewang Mountain, which is a small hill in the Yuewang Mountain system. Yuewang Mountain belongs to the Jiuling Mountain Range, with an altitude of 1,260 meters, it is the highest mountain in Fengxin County, connecting four townships such as Huibu, Yuxia, Yangshan and Yuxi.

It is said that in the Spring and Autumn Period, the Yue Wang Gou Jian lying on the salary and tasting the gall is in this place, so it is named Yue Wang Mountain, the top of the mountain does have a training ground, a point general platform, etc., and the legend and place name related to the Yue Wang Tun soldiers, the people in the mountain are referred to as Yue Wang Mountain for Yue Mountain.

Yuewang Mountain was originally called Yaowang Mountain, because the climate here is suitable, the soil is fertile, and a variety of herbs grow, such as seven-leaf one-branch flower, lobelia, yellow essence, evergreen, Qianhu, earth ginseng, Wusan, etc.

In the early 60s of the 20th century, in order to cope with the complex international political situation and change the imbalance between the east and west of the country's industrial layout, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of "three-line construction" in 1964.

Under the call of the policy of "preparing for war and preparing for famine for the people" and "good people and good people are good at the third line," millions of workers, cadres, young intellectuals, the People's Liberation Army, and peasants have moved from the east to the west, forming a "three-line construction migration."

The Phoenix Mountain team was formed in such a background, a total of ten families, all of whom were immigrants, who arrived not far apart, and were all arranged to live in the nunnery, because they were all immigrants, so it was called the comprehensive production team, and the locals called the "comprehensive team" refers to the Phoenix Mountain team.

Ten families, some of them came alone, some of them moved with their families. My father was probably the first to arrive, because he was the captain of the comprehensive team, and here he married his mother and started a family, giving birth to one boy, three girls and four sisters.

Jiangsu, Hunan, and Hubei each have one household, with the surnames Chang, Wang, and Xie respectively. There are two families from Anyi County, a neighboring county, one surnamed Liu and the other surnamed Lei, this family surnamed Lei, after my father served as the principal of a private primary school, he took over as the captain of the production team, and has never been married, and he is alone.

There are four families from Songbu Commune in this county, one is my family, one is surnamed Tang, the hostess is my father's niece, and the other is a single family with the same surname as my father. There is a family surnamed Zhao from Gao'an County, a neighboring county, and another family from the Qingshu Brigade adjacent to my hometown, and my mother is a distant relative surnamed Wen.

My father is from Songbu Commune, and because of the continuation of the family name, Songbu is called our hometown. Hometown is the name of the wanderer to his hometown, sustenance nostalgia, family affection, and the inextricable nostalgia of abandonment.

The Song surname of Songbu, known as Yaxi Song, can be traced back to the Southern Tang Dynasty at the earliest. The place where the ancestors first settled, later called the archway, with the archway as the center, the descendants gradually scattered around the thirty-six villages, known as the thirty-six songs.

My father was born in Pailou, and the hometown of our descendants refers to Songbu. The population of the hometown is multiplying rapidly, and there are two branches, one is in Xizhuang in Huibu, which is adjacent to my grandmother's house. The other branch was under the port of Luofang, which was later renamed Luoshi.

Because of visiting my hometown, I was ignorant of what I could remember, and I felt the regional differences for the first time, such as different terrains, different landforms, different voices, different customs and habits, and different living conditions.

The place of birth is a typical mountainous area, you can see the mountains when you go out, surrounded by green trees, flowers and plants, gurgling streams, full of greenery, there are many small bridges and flowing waters, and the villages are generally not large, and some are even scattered scattered.

The mountains are winding, the mountain roads are crooked, the villages are often hidden by the mountains and forests, sometimes you can't see them until you get closer, and the distribution is relatively scattered, and the villages are often separated by several miles of roads, and some are even farther away.

The hometown is the plain, according to the geographical formation characteristics, it should be able to be regarded as the impact of Poyang Lake on the plain, as soon as you enter the boundary of Songbu, you don't see the green mountains, you don't see the clear streams, and the place where the eyesight is exhausted, it is either a village or a field, and the vast expanse.

The difference between the mountains and the plains for the first time is the difference between the green mountains outside the mountains that you can't see through and the fog that you can't see through, the difference between the roar of a hundred birds and the roar of wild beasts and the noise of scattered dead trees and crows.

Another feeling in the plains is that the wind is strong, unlike the mountainous areas where there are mountains to block it, and occasionally there is windy weather, and there is nothing to block here, so it is windy at all times, especially in winter, it can really be described as a north wind howling and cold wind.

When I was about three or four years old, I took my father's bicycle to my hometown for the first time to visit the New Year, and I couldn't sit in the back when I was too young, so I sat on the bar in front of me, riding all the way, and was shivering in the cold wind all the way.

The road is far away, my father is getting hotter and hotter the more I ride, but the more I sit, the colder I sit, my father is sweating, one by one took off his clothes, and one by one wrapped on me, still unable to stop the erosion of the cold wind, drilling through the heavily wrapped clothes, after arriving at the hometown, has been frozen to the cold hands and feet and numb, grandma distressed hugged and roasted for a while, before gradually recovering.

Compared with my hometown, I feel that the wind in the mountains is too light, especially in summer, when I work in the fields during the busy farming season, and I hope that the wind will be strong. But it is difficult to see the wind rise, and the weather is the hottest at noon, often only hearing the trees and the cicadas chirping, and not seeing the leaves flying lightly.

The plains are densely populated with villages, each of which is larger than the villages in the mountains, ranging from a few dozen to hundreds of households. For example, the archway, because of the large number of households, should be divided into a group, two groups, three groups, four groups.

It is said that this division is related to the ancestors, married the wife of the four rooms, the descendants of the four rooms gradually increased, occupied the four sides of the archway, these four directions were called the big house, the second room, the third room, the fourth room, and later set up the village group, renamed the first group, the second group, the third group, the fourth group, and the grandmother's family belonged to the third group.

There is a maple tree growing in the bushes in the mountain behind the nunnery, particularly thick and tall, I don't know how many years it has grown, the tall bamboo in front of it, it seems insignificant, people respect this tree very much, and no one even dares to move its branches.

But there are also those who are not afraid, so they climb up the tree and cut down its thick branches for firewood. It also happened that the Bodhisattva and several people from this tree either died young, or their families were changed one after another, which added to people's awe.

Phoenix Mountain is surrounded by rice fields, and I heard that it used to belong to a nunnery. The paddy fields are very large, with five villages evenly distributed around the rice fields, and the surrounding hills of different heights enclose the paddy fields into a basin.

Five villages, called the Berlin team to the east, are located in the fields by the stream. The southeast is called the Dengjiashan team, the north is called the Fengyuan team, and the northeast side is called the Ao Shang team, and each of these three villages is located at the foot of the mountain. The one on the west side is called the Stone Lane Team, which is located on a hill.

The brigade is called the Fengyuan Brigade, but the team headquarters is not in Fengyuan, but in the stone lane. In addition to these five teams, the brigade also has jurisdiction over three teams, namely Kantou, Shiqian, and Xiyuan, and these five teams are the most concentrated, have the most contact, and have the closest contact.

These five teams are not big, they all have only twenty households, which is not much bigger than the Phoenix Mountain team. There are also immigrants among them, but most of them are aborigines, and the farmland cultivated by the Phoenix Mountain team is carved out from these five teams.

There are two small rivers in the small basin, one running north-south in the east and passing through the fields, and the other in the south east-west, winding along the foot of the opposite hill, meeting in the middle of Berlin Village and Dengjiashan Village, and then flowing quietly eastward.
