Chapter 148: The Decisive Battle for Christmas Eve
"Mr. Henry Jones, you know, it's not going to be easy to get rid of those guys from the Department of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic!"
Of the three masked wizards who had just entered, the one who had taken the lead had taken off his veil.
It was a tall wizard with a swarthy wand in his hand.
Even though the room was dimly lit, Alan could still make out the rows of shiny upper teeth he was showing.
Because his mouth was open, like a vicious dog, ready to pounce on it at any moment to hunt its prey.
Taking advantage of the fact that their attention was on the three wizards who had come in, Alan walked lightly over to Leonard, who had fallen to the ground.
Alan summoned the Tree Protector from the pet space, a small thing that was inconspicuous but possessed a nimble lock-picking skill.
This Tree Protector has been domesticated to be extremely psychic in Ellen's pet space. In the space, after receiving Allen's instructions, it blinked two small brown eyes and appeared on Leonard's body.
Then, nimbly and silently, he crawled towards the chains that held Leonard's hands together.
Actually, "Fall Apart" is a good spell, but the movement is too big to achieve a surprise effect.
Leonard fell to the ground in a state of exhaustion, but his eyes were fixed like a sword on the third wizard who came inβa stocky male wizard.
Soon, Alan understood his reason.
"We've been putting a lot of thought into this shipment, and the Magic Congress has increased security a lot since your last prison break. Therefore, we need to add an extra percentage to the commission this time!" Tyberly tried to bargain with Henry.
"You're too greedy, Tabberly, why don't you go and ask Merlin?" the skinny, dark-skinned wizard beside Henry stepped forward and stared at Tabberly viciously.
On Henry's other side, a large, bloated wizard had a hideous face, his face covered with webs, and his roots were bulging and purple. He glared at Tabberly, as if Henry was the slightest displeasure, he would strike.
The atmosphere was stagnant for a while, and the two sides refused to give in to each other.
Then the wind outside blew again, blowing the snowflakes in front of the hut, and occasionally raising their voices like the cry of the devil, and occasionally a gloomy sobbing sound in the chimneys.
The night was getting darker, the clock was striking midnight, and Christmas was here! But the buzz belonged to the Muggles in the heart of New York, and the selves-rattling of this remote, cemetery-based cottage was tense.
"Henry, I know you want to flee to Europe after you finish this in the United States. After all, the Aurors are searching for you 24 hours a day, and you're the most wanted criminal in the Magic Congress. Tyberly let out a sarcastic dry laugh.
"Wei Yong, step aside. Henry stopped the skinny wizard who was about to attack. "Yes, but I'm going to receive it right away. β
Henry wanted to end his trip to the United States as soon as possible. Maybe it's because he's old, and he doesn't have the enthusiasm and fearlessness of his youth, and he always feels a little uneasy.
Wei Yong angrily retreated to Henry's side.
"Worthy of Mr. Henry Jones, courageous!" said Tyberly's eyes narrowed, greedy and cunning as a fox, vicious and slick as a wolf. "Wei Yong, since I dare to bring only two of my subordinates over, I am not afraid of your attack. At any time, I can surround this place with the Aurors. β
Wei Yong's face was gloomy, and the anger brewing in his heart boiled.
"Wei Yong, go and inspect the goods. Henry was unmoved, and there was an indescribable composure in his posture and expression.
"Yes!" Wei Yong scurried to the side of the box, and the three black-robed wizards did not stop him.
The box opened, and a thunderbird instantly rose into the air, bringing up countless rains, and then fell heavily into the box. It was chained and bloodstained.
Villon walked back to Henry and nodded, confirming that the box was indeed the purpose of their trip - the Thunderbird.
"Ah, what a pity. Henry stroked his chin with interest, but there was not a hint of pity in his voice.
"Villon, give the money to Tabriel. Villon took a cloth bag from behind the seat where Henry was sitting and handed it to Tybrie.
"Woo!" Taybury took it, "Ho, the one who cast the Traceless Stretching Charm!"
He flipped his pockets over, and the golden gallons formed a small mountain in front of him.
Just as everyone's eyes were filled with the golden light, a shadow jumped over and grabbed the face scarf of the short, stout masked black-robed wizard.
"Roca, it's really you! So you're a traitor to Congress!" Leonard, with great anger and determination to die, grabbed Roca by the throat.
Leonard's wand was broken by Villon when he was captured. He could only do his best to strangle Rocca.
Furious, he had no idea how he had broken free from his chains.
Roca's face was reddened, and sweat continued to run down his face.
The murderers in the house were shocked, they did not understand how Leonard could escape the chains without a wand.
Tyberly pointed his wand at Leonard, intending to finish him off with the Death Curse.
But faster than him was the small, masked wizard behind him.
Tyberly was struck by his spell, and before he could scream, his wand fell to the ground.
Tybriley's body spasmed once or twice, his body shook violently, his hands were folded, his heels clicked on the floor a few times, and his head fell back and drooped on one shoulder. His eyes widened, and he finally fell to the ground.
Henry, by the fire, jumped in surprise.
Wilon waved his wand and let out a death curse, intending to hit the masked wizard.
But the masked wizard suddenly shrunk in stature and became an extremely short man, quickly freed from his wide robes and fought with Wei Yong.
His veil also floated off his face due to the vigorous movements.
This little wizard turned out to be Professor Flitwick!
Alan struggled to control himself so that he didn't let out a loud exclamation.
Although Villon's death curse did not hit Professor Flitsch, it did accidentally hit Rocca, who was being strangled by Leonard.
With an expression of disbelief, Roca fell to the ground.
"Oh my Merlin!" exclaimed Leonard.
"Come and help. Professor Flitwick's shrill voice sounded.
Leonard picked up Tiberley's wand and confronted the large, bloated wizard.
Instead of joining the warband, Henry leaned over to the big wooden box. But to his surprise, the box was empty.
