Xiao Tianshu said: "Confucius said in the "Dictionaries": "One yin and one yang is the Tao". According to the results of our modern language and scientific research, this sentence should be understood as follows: there is yin and yang in nature, which is the unity of opposites, and the two energies of yin and yang are the basis of all things, and everything that exists in the world is composed of basic yin and yang energy. The interaction between these two energies and the infinity element produces two primary-order particles, yin and yang, which are the basis of all higher-order particles, matter particles, and matter. The model we use to fully describe the formation process of yin and yang "particles" and energy should be as follows: in the early days of the Taiji world, the infinite elements were combined to form a Taiji world at zero distance; ”

When the distance between the infinity elements increases, from zero to a positive distance, there will be yang energy between the infinity elements, which we call the yang "string". This kind of whole composed of yang "strings" and inpolar elements is called "yang particles", and this "particle" will release "yin energy" in the process of formation;

When the distance between the infinity elements decreases, from zero to negative, there is yin energy between the infinity elements, the "string" with yin energy is the yin "string", and the "particle" with the combination of yin energy and inpolar element is called "yin particle", and the yin particle will release yang energy in the process of formation;

Whether it is a "yin string" or a "yang string", they are all dynamic; Whether it is a "positive particle" or a "negative particle", its structure is three-dimensional.

The internal evidence, cold evidence, and false evidence can be classified as the negative evidence. Therefore, in the general outline of the Eight Principles of Yin and Yang, all disease syndromes can be classified as Yin or Yang syndromes. Yin syndrome: dull complexion, listlessness, tiredness and cold limbs, shortness of breath and lazy speech, lack of thirst, clear urine and loose stools, pale tongue, thin and weak pulse. Yang syndrome: red face, hot body, irritability, loud voice, thirst and cold drinking, red urine and dry stools, yellow moss, strong pulse. In addition, there are clinical syndromes such as yin deficiency and yang deficiency, dead yin and dead yang. Yin deficiency: due to the lack of yin fluid, "yin deficiency generates internal heat". The main symptoms are low-grade fever and red cheeks, hot hands and feet, night sweats, dry mouth and throat, little and yellow urine, constipation, red tongue without lichen, thin and strong pulse, and no pulse if retaken. Yang deficiency: due to the lack of yang energy, "yang deficiency produces cold". The main symptoms are chills and cold limbs, fatigue and fatigue, self-sweating, clear and long urine, excessive urine at night, loose stools, pale moss, pale tongue, and weak pulse. Death Yin: irritability, thirst and desire to drink, wheezing, sweating like oil and heat, mild limbs, red and dry tongue, strong pulse or irritability, and weakness to press. Dead sun: cold sweat, chills, cold hands and feet, weak breath, like hot drinks, weak tongue, and a slight pulse. It is more common in patients with shock. ”

The five elements have become a means of regulating the balance of yin and yang in traditional Chinese medicine.
