It seems that the real practice is not to "hide in the wilderness" to achieve physical and mental purity, but to get rid of the traces of the practitioner, to blend in the red dust, and to achieve the detachment of the mind, so that you will not feel tired. Xuan Chu said: "Foolishness is not stupidity, but the stupidity of "great wisdom and foolishness". The first thing a person should do to improve himself is to abandon his wisdom.

It's not that you should give up your IQ, don't think, and make yourself simple. Instead, give up superfluous thoughts and scheming, calculate less, and subdue your own delusions. If others calculate you, but you don't count others, do you suffer a loss? No, you always win, regardless of others. How to understand?

If you play chess with other people, no matter how good you are, there will always be times when you lose. However, if you never play chess with someone else, then you will never lose. In the same way, when someone else calculates you, and you don't calculate with him, you will never lose. It's not strange, it's self-defeating. ”

Xuan Chu said: "If your virtue is only as deep as a bowl of water, if others blow a breath, your mind will be turbulent; If your virtue is as deep as the sea, then no wind or waves can shake the depth of the heart of the sea. A person's ability to surrender delusions is directly proportional to one's own virtue.

The deeper the morality, the less likely they are to worry about others, and the more tolerant they are; The shallower the morality, the more accountable, can't see, can't let go, and is restless in his heart. Lao Tzu said: "Therefore, the country is governed by wisdom, and the thief of the country; If you don't govern the country with wisdom, the blessing of the country. Knowing these two is also a formula. The common knowledge of the style is called Xuande. ”

Modern people believe that they should not spit indiscriminately, do not litter, and do not speak ill of people...... It is to have moral cultivation. And Lao Tzu's "Xuande" is far more than that. Xuande, calm the emotions, calm the heart, the natural accumulation of concentration and mental strength. Normally, when others scold you and accuse you unfairly, you get angry, depressed, and hate the other person. However, people with profound virtue don't care about other people's remarks at all, whether they scold or praise, they don't take other people's opinions too seriously, let alone take them to heart. ”

All of this needs to be cultivated and improved bit by bit. Rather than saying that enlightenment is an epiphany, it is better to say that enlightenment is a long process of slowly accumulating Xuande, and in this process, inadvertently, it will be naturally enlightened. ”
