Chapter 793: If you don't like what you get, don't hesitate to lose

Hui Chu said: "This is not the way to explain the practitioners, who always make breaks, give up, and leave, and "elimination" is "returning", returning to the basics. ”

The fairy in red said: "Hehe, I only know that obedience is mortal, and adversity is immortal." ”

Hui Chu said: "I agree with this sentence, but mortals are obsessed with fame, fortune and gain and loss, the more the merrier; There are Taoist people who are not fascinated by these things, they don't like what they get, they don't hesitate to lose it, they can pick it up at any time, they can put it down, and the realm is naturally high. ”

These worldly things really have to be thrown away in order to become enlightened.

The fairy in red said, "If you follow the heavens and be a stupid and ignorant person, how can you achieve the Tao?" Shun can only be a mortal......"

Xuan Chu said: "Hehe, it turns out that you are talking about the ability to become an immortal when you are against the odds, but in fact, "abandon wisdom", "virtue is deep", and "return to the basics", which seem to be separate, but in fact they are one, and if you do one of them, the other will also be improved.

From the outside, it is difficult for others to see whether a person has Tao or not, and it is very clear in one's own heart. If you really do it, you won't say it, you won't have anything to say, you will live your life naturally. ”

The fairy in red said, "That's what I mean......"

Hui Chu said: "When a person's spirit and consciousness are truly adjusted to the state of "abandoning wisdom", "virtue profoundness", and "returning to the basics", that is to reach the realm of Dashun. Everyone is learning Taoism and Buddhism, are you still willing to sink into the sea of suffering? ”

The young man in white said with a smile: "Hehe," the Tao is established to educate people, and there is Buddhism: "Buddhism is boundless, and all living beings are universal." However, today's learning of Taoism and Buddhism has become a trend, why do people in the world not see happiness without suffering, but instead indulge more and more wantonly and sink into the sea of suffering? ”

Hui Chu: "It should be a good thing that learning Taoism and Buddhism has become a trend, Taoism has: "This Tao is established to educate people", and Buddhism has "Buddhism is boundless, and all living beings are universal". These words are the hope of the holy sages that all the people in the world will be enlightened, so that they can get rid of suffering and be happy as soon as possible. However, today's learning of Taoism and Buddhism has become a trend, why do people in the world not see happiness without suffering, but instead indulge more and more wantonly and sink into the sea of suffering? ”

The young man in white smiled: "But if you just go with the flow, you will often lose the meaning of pursuit." Most people don't understand what spiritual practice is. Just blindly following. I don't know what faith and practice are, I just know how to recite a few verses of scriptures and do a few good deeds, so I think I can get good fortune, and there are even those obsessed people who sit at home all day long and think that they can get positive results by bowing and burning incense every day! Don't you know that good deeds are not good, and how is merit? If you don't have merit, how can you become enlightened? ”

The fairy in red said: "The first step in cultivation is to understand one's own roots. ”

Chu Chu said, "What is the root bone? Metaphysics takes merit as the body, gold pill as the use, and then you can become an immortal."

The fairy in red said: "The so-called first step of cultivation is to know your own roots, whether it is a good way or a Buddha, only if you choose a religion that suits you, you can enter the right path, there are three thousand, the Buddha has ten thousand laws, you can always choose a path that suits you to practice, if you only know blindly follow the trend, I am afraid that you will not be able to get the right path in your life." ”

The white-clothed young man smiled, "There are several basic qualities that a cultivator needs to have. ”

Chu Chu said: "What kind of them? ”

The young man in white smiled: "First of all, we must understand the way to distinguish between good and evil. There are no three religions in the so-called religion, only good and evil! If there is no distinction between good and evil, in the end, it can only be left behind.

Then there is the choice of path. Whether it's the Tao or the Buddha, it's good to enter the door. The first point after the introduction is not to chant and meditate, but to have a firm heart, so that the world can know that the scriptures are easy to read, and the practice can be cultivated.

After that, we must study the essence of the scriptures every day, and I personally recommend that we start with the historical sources of religion (Tao or Buddha), the teachings, the characters, the rise and fall of the history, and so on. In this way, we have an overall understanding of religion, and the so-called world affairs are all knowledge, and human feelings are articles. The meaning of learning these things is that you can open your horizons, the higher you stand, the farther you will see, and you must have a broad heart in your practice, and if you limit your horizons to one point, it will be very difficult to attain the Tao! ”

Chu said: "Well, what you said makes sense. ”

The young man in white smiled: "In addition to the above points, morality is the most important. The Tao respects virtue and is based on virtue, which is very conducive to future cultivation. It's like a tree, it can grow better when it is straightened first. How a practitioner practices the physical exercises, and the personal circumstances of the individual cannot be generalized, so for those who have just practiced, there is a kind of mentality that is the most important. Patriarch Chongyang once said: "Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are interconnected, and the three religions have always been one ancestral style", the root of religion and the foundation of religion are all to guide the world to good, but the means have their own merits. The Confucian path of faithfulness, benevolence and righteousness, the compassion of Buddhism, and the twin fortunes of compassion and wisdom are all thoughts that cannot be avoided by a monk. We can't criticize other religions because of our own beliefs, in fact, those who study the Tao know that all things are born, and those who study Buddhism know that all living beings are equal, if we can all do it, I don't need to talk about this sentence more! ”

"Dare to face and admit your mistakes and shortcomings. In the process of cultivation, you need to face many problems, including your own shortcomings, the limitations of your vision, and the suffering of your practice. Each of us must have many shortcomings, and we will inevitably do a lot of wrong things in our daily life, which are inevitable, but it is very important for us to dare to face and admit our mistakes and shortcomings. ”

The young man in white said with a smile: "The soup must have a light taste, the treasure must have flaws, there is no absolutely perfect thing, the human body is all sinful obstacles and bad roots, the important thing is whether we can clearly understand that we dare to break these things, just like Buddhism: "Lift the sword of wisdom, break the thief of troubles." ”

Hui Chu said: "There is also about the double cultivation of life, now many people play the slogan of cultivating the mind, it is true, there is a cloud in the Dan Sutra: cultivating life without cultivating nature, this is the first disease of cultivation, which points out the importance of cultivating the mind. However, all things are born in yin and yang, and yin and yang are involved in each other to balance all things. It is very important for cultivators to be treated equally with dual cultivation of life, if there is no disease, the spirit is smooth, and if the spirit is smooth, the body is disease-free, the two are complementary to each other, for those who only emphasize the cultivation of the mind, or only emphasize the cultivation of the body, are not the best choice, even if the first teacher Confucius, is also more proficient in the way of riding and archery! ”

The white-clothed young man said with a smile: "Laypeople or people who have not entered the Tao only feel that cultivation is leisurely, let go, and free and easy, but they don't know that people who practice are more bitter than people who are secular people. I think all of you initiates should feel this point! Practitioners need to keep the precepts, be careful to avoid all kinds of karma, and also benefit sentient beings, so it can be said that practitioners are a hundred times more bitter than laymen! ”
