At the same time, because there are many and complicated folk gods and ghosts, someone finally began to sort it out and wrote the "Taiping Sutra". This book is a large collection of spontaneous beliefs, and there are all kinds of gods and goddesses in it. With the advent of the Taiping Sutra, folk beliefs began to converge. These simple and loose beliefs in the gods and goddesses have slowly formed a universal and relatively fixed belief in the continuous circulation, that is, the "Taiping Dao". In the same period, there was also the "Five Bucket Rice Sect". ”

Idol is from the beginning of the sinking of Huang Laozhi and the combination of folk beliefs, until the emergence of Taishang Laojun, the ranking of the gods and Buddhas in the "True Spirit Position Industry Map", and later "Journey to the West" and "Fengshen Bang" through the form that the people like to see to build the immortal system, including Judge Cui and Guan Yunchang, these characters become gods, these are all idolization, passive or active improvement of the Taoist immortal system. ”

In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Buddhism officially entered the Central Plains. Inspired by Buddhism, these indigenous sects of the gods and goddesses in China began to operate in an organized manner. Because the primitive immortal religion was backed by the philosophy of Huang Lao, Taoism practiced the doctrine of taking it, and took all Taoist ideas and became the guiding ideology of Taoism. This is where the name of Taoism comes from.

The Taoist school of thought is dominated by the ideas of Laozi and Zhuangzi. Although Taoism and Taoism are related, they are only related to Taoism, and some religious activities are actually contrary to Taoism's idea of "ruling by doing nothing". Therefore, there have always been three major schools within Taoism: the ideological school, the alchemy school, and the Fu Zheng school. The first two are Taoist thought and immortal beliefs, the pursuit of inaction and immortality, the Fu Zheng faction is the ranking of seats, talking about identity, this is far from Lao Tzu's thoughts, but ordinary believers don't care about these, because of the world, the Fu Zheng sect is easier for believers to accept, because this means that the master and the sect recognize themselves, which is a kind of identity recognition. ”
