Chapter 396: You Have Me

Xuan Chu said: "Yin and Yang are the roots of each other, according to what you say, that is, Yin is Yang as the root, and Yang is the root of Yin, that is to say, there is Yang in Yin, and there is Yin in Yang?" Yin and yang changes, one eliminates the other, and this is how it comes, not just opposites, to put it bluntly, you have me, I have you, right? ”

When Xiao Tianshu heard what Xuan Chu said, he was happy and uncomfortable: "Hehe, the right thing is that you have me, I have you......"

When Xuan Chu heard Xiao Tianshu say this, he thought to himself, if he wants to be good, how can he say it like this from his mouth? It doesn't sound weird, it seems to be like a more ambiguous relationship between men and women, where are the five elements of yin and yang.

Xuan Chu blushed and said roughly: "Why does this person always look like a hanger, can you be serious, what does this mean!" ”

Lu Dongbin coughed twice and said: "Ahem, talk about the serious Yin and Yang cultivation, apprentices, don't joke......"

Xiao Tianshu saw Lu Dongbin say this, so he pretended to be serious and said: "Hehe, what I said, uh, in fact, I want to say that the theory of yin and yang is used to explain the generation and change of space, heaven and earth. Classical Chinese philosophy and related religions firmly believe that after space emerged from the infinite world, it first manifested itself in a state of chaos, and then the clear yang floated to the sky, and the turbid yin sank to the earth, so the clear yang is the sky, and the turbid yin is the earth. The results of modern physics research are that after the generation of space-time, elementary particles further form material particle atoms and molecules, and then produce matter, and matter is constantly interacted and polymerized to form stars. This research result is an extension and continuation of classical Chinese philosophy. It is also an affirmation of classical Chinese philosophical theories, especially the theory of yin and yang. (For details, see my humble work "A Brief Analysis of Matter, Celestial Bodies and Life"......"

The theory of yin and yang is used to explain the laws by which all things work. Lao Tzu said: "All things are negative yin and embrace yang, and they are impulsive and think they are harmonious." In other words, the influence and effect of yin and yang is the fundamental law of the operation of all things, and it is also the source of power to promote the change of things. Without the role and influence of yin and yang, or the complete neutralization of yin and yang in this world, it will return to the infinite world of zero time and space. Used in the human body, "The Yellow Emperor's Neijing" says: "Therefore, the clear yang comes out of the upper body, and the turbid yin comes out of the lower body; Qingyang hair and hair, turbidity and yin go five Tibet; Qingyang has solid limbs, and turbidity and yin return to the six mansions. ”

He also said: "The theory of yin and yang is used to explain the law of life change. Life is an integral part of nature and a subset of nature, so the law of change of life must obey the law of change of nature. In ancient China, birth, growth, harvesting, and storage were used to explain the changing forms and processes of life, and the driving force behind the realization of this process was yin and yang. The influence and effect between yin and yang give birth to four elephants: the sun is too yin and less yang and less yin, yang is germination, and yin is sanitizing. Therefore, the four elephants are composed of "birth, growth, harvesting, and storage". ”

Lu Dongbin said with a smile: "Yin and Yang during the Warring States Period was an important branch of the Hundred Schools of Thought, and Yin and Yang were a pair of categories in ancient Chinese philosophy. The original meaning of yin and yang is very simple, indicating the sun's back, the sun is yang, and the back sun is yin, and later extended to the cold and warm climate, the direction of up and down, left and right, inside and outside, and the restlessness and tranquility of the state of movement. Ancient Chinese philosophers then realized that all phenomena in nature are in opposition to each other and interact with each other, so they used the concept of yin and yang to explain the two opposing and mutually evaporating material forces in nature, and believed that the opposition and growth of yin and yang are inherent in the thing itself, and then believed that the opposition and growth of yin and yang are the basic laws of the universe. ”

The theory of yin and yang holds that everything in nature consists of two opposing aspects of yin and yang, and that the two opposing sides are unified with each other. The opposition and unity of yin and yang is the fundamental reason for the occurrence, development, change and demise of all things in nature. Just as "Su Wen: Yin and Yang should be like the Great Treatise" said, "Yin and Yang, the way of heaven and earth, the outline of all things, the parents of change, the origin of life and death." Therefore, the law of the contradictory opposition and unified movement of yin and yang is the inherent law of the movement and change of all things in nature, and the world itself is the result of the unity of the opposition and unity of yin and yang.

Hui Chu also said: "The theory of the five elements of yin and yang is the ancient Chinese idea of simple dialectics, and the world is bred, developed and changed under the impetus of the action of yin and yang; He also believes that the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water are its basic changing relationships. The five elements are mutually restrictive and mutually restrictive, and are in constant movement and change. This doctrine had a profound influence on later ancient philosophies, such as astronomy, meteorology, chemistry, arithmetic, music, and medicine, all of which were developed with the assistance of the theory of the five elements of yin and yang. ”

Lu Dongbin said with a smile: "Yin and Yang can not only represent things that are opposed to each other, but also can be used to analyze the two opposing "" aspects that exist within a thing. Generally speaking, anything that is vigorously exercising, extroverted, rising, warm, and bright belongs to yang; What is relatively static, what is guarded, what is descending, what is cold, what is dark, is yin. In terms of heaven and earth, the weather is light and clear for yang, and the earth is heavy and turbid for yin; In terms of water and fire, the cold nature of water is moist and the subordinate yin, and the hot nature of fire is yang. ”

Xiao Tianshu said: "Everything can be divided by the attributes of yin and yang, but it must be for a pair of things that are related to each other, or two aspects of the same thing, for this division to be meaningful." If the two things being analyzed are not related to each other, or are not two opposing aspects of the unity, yin and yang cannot be used to distinguish their relative properties and their interrelationships. The yin and yang attributes of things are not absolute, but relative. On the one hand, this relativity is manifested in the fact that under certain conditions, yin and yang can be transformed into each other, that is, yin can be transformed into yang, and yang can also be transformed into yin. On the other hand, it is embodied in the infinite divisibility of things. ”

Lu Dongbin said with a smile: "The basic content of the theory of yin and yang includes four aspects: the opposition of yin and yang, the mutual roots of yin and yang, the growth and decline of yin and yang, and the transformation of yin and yang. In the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine, the idea of yin and yang theory is reflected everywhere. The theory of yin and yang is used to explain the tissue structure, physiological functions and pathological changes of the human body, and to guide the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. ”

Xiao Tianshu said: "What are the four aspects? ”

Lu Dongbin said: "The basic content of the theory of yin and yang includes five aspects: the unity of yin and yang, the opposition of yin and yang, the mutual roots of yin and yang, the growth and decline of yin and yang, and the transformation of yin and yang. Yin and Yang are mutually sympathetic, and "sympathetic" is mutual induction, which refers to the process of mutual induction and interaction between Yin and Yang in motion. Ancient Chinese philosophers believed that (yin and yang) "the sympathy of the two qi incarnates all things" (Zhou Dunyi's "Taiji Diagram" in the Song Dynasty). The incarnation of all things originates from the interaction between yin and yang, and this philosophical thought originated from the pre-Qin families, such as the "Xunzi Book of Rites": "Heaven and earth are in harmony and all things are born, and yin and yang are changed one after another." ”
