Chapter 371: You know how to be dumb, right?
Lu Dongbin saw that Xiao Tianshu was studying carefully and cautiously, so he smiled and said, "Apprentice, is the mobile phone you are recording?" Hehe......"
Xiao Tianshu said with a smile: "Master Zu said such an unfathomable and rare truth, how can I not record it, but how does Master Zu know that I am recording?" ”
Lu Dongbin smiled: "Hehe, don't forget that I also have a fashionable apprentice, Xuan Chu, who is recording every day." These recordings don't work at all, alas, only when you listen to them yourself, you can hear them for others, if you take these recordings one day to show off to others that it is Lu Zu's recording, then it will fail, don't be unable to get off the stage when the time comes! Hehe......"
Xiao Tianshu nodded frequently, and Lu Dongbin smiled: "However, after this time you became dumb, I'm afraid you don't have that much courage, hahaha, I'm afraid you already know, why are you dumb?" ”
Xiao Tianshu blushed and smiled embarrassedly: "The disciple knows that he is wrong!" It's just that the disciple always felt that she was so pitiful to hide it from Yi Chu like this, and I just couldn't get used to seeing her pitiful, so I forgot to agree to Master Zu's teachings......"
Lu Dongbin smiled: "As a cultivator, how can we achieve enlightenment as quickly as possible? It's about finding your own fault first – what's my biggest problem? What is your biggest habit? Make a list of it first and write it down on a piece of paper: what is my biggest problem, the second, third...... Take all your faults from one to ten, drain them like this, and then use the right treatment to deal with them. What are the biggest ways I should treat the problem? ”
When you first start practicing, this method is the fastest. You make a list of all your faults, "What are my habits?", and you have to remind yourself of them whenever and wherever you want.
Because it's easy to forget. Be vigilant, as soon as your own bad habits and wrong ideas come out, you will see them immediately. What should I do if I can't see it? Write it out, post it where you can see it, and remind yourself of it all the time! This method is good.
Because we have a lot of problems, we fall into habits unconsciously! If I really want to be diligent and want to practice, I have to make a list of the faults, and I have to make up my mind about how to subdue them in a short period of time with the fastest speed and the best way, and then get rid of them little by little.
It's impossible to get rid of it, but you have to subdue it first. If you can't subdue it, you have to find a way, using all kinds of methods – either with correct knowledge and correct view, or with the method of repentance, or meditation, using all kinds of methods to subdue it first. There are many methods, and each of them can play a role.
We don't want to fix one method, we need to have a few more angles for each problem, and we must use precepts, concentration, and wisdom. You must have vows, vows, and resolve to change; It must be to meditate and practice; Wisdom is to use correct knowledge and correct view to illuminate it. We must use the precepts and wisdom, and we can't just keep the precepts or just meditate except for the habits, or just do the wisdom, and if we don't have the determination, we can't do it.
If a cultivator wants to make rapid progress, he must first find out where his problems are, and solve them individually. As soon as your heart is opened, many habits will naturally dissolve.
Spiritual practice is actually a very simple thing. Our nature is inherently there, and our hearts are inherently God. We are self-sufficient, and since we have this cause for becoming a god, it is inevitable that we will become a god. Now it's how to get rid of your habits, and then you will be at ease, and you will be God.
We just don't realize it, and sometimes we run away with our habits and are always self-righteous.
I often say that the biggest fault is self-righteousness. You must run according to your own ideas, run far, far away, and even never look back in this life, then you can't do anything.
Xiao Tianshu said: "Master Zu, what is the so-called "refining and refining qi" qi of Taoism? Are the so-called "qi and blood" qi and "stroke" wind in Chinese medicine the same as the word "qi" spoken of by Taoists? These are important questions. Chinese medicine after the Han Dynasty mostly confused the wind of the air flow with the qi of the human body, which is also problematic. However, these issues are individual monographs, and it is impossible to discuss them in the context of this topic for a while. But I want to hear what Master Zu has to say? ”
Lu Dongbin said with a smile: "For the time being, let's borrow the modern scientific term "life energy" as an explanation of the concept of qi. In other words, those who want to learn meditation and practice the art of health and longevity should not regard the breath that the human body breathes through the mouth and nose, and the air in the atmosphere, as what Taoism or Tantra calls qi. Otherwise, it would be a serious misunderstanding to mistake the reactions of nerves and muscles for the prevalence of "true qi." ”
In other words, if we only regard the effects of the lungs' breathing and physiological responses as the result of qi refining, then there are at least dozens or even a hundred kinds of similar qi refining methods in Taoism, Tantra, yoga, etc. Although it is undeniable that the physiological breathing of the mouth and nose, as well as the breathing of some other organs and skin, are the basic movements and tools of cultivation, it should not be mistaken for the true meaning of meditation or Taoist Danfa.
According to the Taoist cultivation method of health preservation, what kind of scene is it to truly reach the level of "refining and refining qi"? This is to pay attention to two popular Taoist terms, the so-called "three flowers gather at the top" and "five qi dynasty yuan". "Three flowers" and "five gases" are synonymous with metaphors. Sanhua is "essence", "qi" and "god". The "five qi" are the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys; or use the code name of the five elements, that is, metal, wood, water, fire, earth, etc.; As for Yoga in India, the five qi are called the upper qi, the lower qi, the middle qi, the left qi, and the right qi. The nouns are different, but they are actually all common. The top of the gathering top, of course, refers to the "Baihui Acupoint" on the top of the head, which is the so-called "Nihuan Palace" in Taoism, and the joint relationship between the so-called "Sahasrara" and the "Brahmanic Chakra" in Tantra.
However, the "yuan" of Chaoyuan has different sayings: some according to the concept of medical meridians and acupoints, they say that this "yuan" refers to the part of "Guan Yuan acupoint", which is generally called "Xia Dantian", but some people think that this "yuan" refers to "will **", that is, the so-called "seabed" of Tantra and yoga. There has never been any conclusive evidence of who is right and wrong, unless it is really a cultivator who is willing to come out and testify on the spot, or maybe this dispute will be put to rest. However, from the interpretation of academic theory and Chinese philology, as well as the verification of experience. We believe that this "yuan" character is common to the original character of the source.
In other words, the so-called "yuan" refers to the original standard phenomenon, the so-called "five qi dynasty yuan", that is to say, the internal organs of the human body return to their original position, full, harmonious, balanced and without suffocation. After briefly explaining the meaning of these two sentences theoretically, we will explain them from the empirical phenomenon.
