A person who hears the Tao can still maintain a youthful face when he is old, but maintaining a youthful face is not the purpose of hearing the Tao, but only an appearance after hearing the Tao.

After the people who hear the Tao go through the steps of the outer world (abandoning the world), ---- external things (the mind is not servitude), ---- external life (forgetting self), ---- Chao Che (forgetting both things and me, then wisdom shines suddenly, like the beginning of the rising sun), ----and seeing alone (experiencing the independent and unopposed Tao ontology), they will enter a peaceful realm without ancient and modern, life and death.

This realm of transcendence of life and death of real people directly inspires people's desire for survival, and human beings want to transcend human life and inevitably go to death, and the immortal belief of "immortality" in Taoism is the conceptual expression of this desire appeal.

Immortals live forever and have eternal life, and they reject death in favor of life.

The so-called "the living are not born", that is, if they are nostalgic for life, there is no life, so in the value orientation of physical life, "real people" and "immortals" are very different.

The fundamental difference between "immortals" and "real people" is immediately in the concept of life and death.

"Immortality" is the core basis of the belief of Daomen immortals, and the pursuit of "immortality" is actually the fear of death, so that the opposition between life and death is highlighted. And it is also necessary to get rid of the arrangement of life and death by the mandate of heaven, and prolong the life span through the consumption of Jindan, so as to achieve the state of physical immortality.

The "real person" downplays the issue of life and death, obediently accepts the arrangement of birth, old age, sickness and death, and regards life and death as an indiscriminate thing, and life and death are just the gathering and dispersion of qi, whether it is a state of gathering or a state of dispersion, qi will exist, so as to dispel the fear of life and death.

But whether it is "life and death" or "longevity", it expresses the importance of life.

Because "those who are good at living are good at death", what people can control is the living life, and they do not know the state after death, so being kind to life is also being kind to death.

Although it has a great conflict with the immortal's view of life and death, both are full of the importance of life and the affirmation of its value in survival.

"Heaven and man are not compatible, it is called a real person." "Mutual victory" means mutual overcoming and mutual victory, which contains mutual exclusion and mutual confrontation.

This sentence means that the "real person" can reach the state where heaven and man are not exclusive and opposite.

But there are three situations in which heaven and man are not exclusive:

1. Heaven takes precedence over man and man is subordinate to heaven.

2. Man takes precedence over heaven and heaven obeys man.

3. Heaven and man have no distinction between the master and the object, and the two become one.

So what is the relationship between heaven and man in the realm of real people?

There is a clear difference between heaven and man, and "heaven" has its priority and dominance over "man".

What is the Tao? There is a way of heaven and a way of humanity. Those who do nothing and are honored are also the way of heaven, and those who are tired of doing things are also humane.

The Lord is the way of heaven, and the minister is also humane. Heaven and humanity are far apart, and they must not be overlooked.

Heaven and earth have great beauty and are full of value, and man does not want to conquer nature to embody the value of human beings, but to imitate the great value presented by heaven and earth. Therefore, man has no priority over the heavens.

Heaven and earth are full of value and there is no essential difference between people who can realize value, and the "joy and anger of real people" can be connected with heaven and earth.

Under these conditions, real people will inevitably move towards the realm of the unity of matter and self, subject and object, and heaven and man.

Serve Dan Shouyi, complete with the sky, return the essence of the fetus, prolong the life of the endless, and the immortals can be completely in harmony with the sky.

It is not a union of values and emotions, but an external union of the two, just as things of the same category can be grouped together.

This shows that the immortals have the natural attribute of "heaven", and the immortals have realized the state of "heaven and earth co-exist with me" in the sense of existence.

The immortal's "being with the sky" did not dissolve the opposition between the two, but highlighted the difference between the two, because the subject of "being with the sky" is a person, and it is a person who can be in harmony with the sky after taking pills and constricting his mind.

This highlights man's initiative and also shows that there is a gap between man and heaven, but man can shorten the gap with heaven through his own cultivation, and finally become completely one with heaven.

Heaven and earth have no beginning and no end, and people can imitate heaven and earth in the form of life, and can also have infinite life, but "being with the sky" is based on the attributes and functions of the immortals who can have the sky, and the immortals can transcend the limits of time like the sky, and can also have the fantasy power of the clouds and rain like the sky.

But it does not mean that immortals and heavens are like two ropes of equal thickness and length, with the same form.

Immortals are life forms, and heaven is a natural thing, and the two must not be the same.

It can be seen that although "real people" and "immortals" can reach the realm of "unity with heaven", the connotations of the two are completely different. The real person is "alone with the spirit of heaven and earth", and is one with "heaven" in the spiritual world and value world, while "immortals" are exactly the same as "heaven" in attributes and functions, so that they can be one with heaven.

There is a scholar named Lu Wensheng in Wangcheng, who has great ambitions and is proficient in everything in Wen Taowu, and can be said to be a genius who is rare in a century.

Helplessly born in the peaceful era, Lu Wensheng's talent was completely useless, he gradually became bald and wasted under the lack of talent, and poured wine every day.

One day, Lu Wensheng was very drunk, and he didn't wake up for three days and three nights, and his family looked for a doctor, only to know that Lu Wensheng had already driven west!

After Lu Wen's death, he went to the underworld and entered the palace of the king of Hades, and the prince of Hades looked at the book of life and death, and said: "Mr. Lu is such a talent but he is willing to fall, it really shouldn't be." ”

Lu Wensheng said coldly: "What's the use of being talented but not born at the right time, I don't know what Hades wants to give me in my next life?"

Lord Yama said coldly: "With your wisdom, it will be difficult to use it in this life! I am afraid that I can only vote for a mediocre person in the next life! I don't know what Mr. wants?"

Lu Wensheng laughed: "Creation makes people! I think that I, Lu Wensheng, have earth-shattering talents, the ability and ability to rejuvenate the country and secure the country, I never thought that I would never meet talents in this life, but I would be reincarnated in mediocre people in the next life." In this way, it is better to stay in the underworld and not vote!"

When the ghost pawn on the side heard this, he scolded: "Lu Wensheng, you are so arrogant! You are just a down-and-out scholar in the yang world! If you can help this king share your worries, this king can be gracious and let you be reincarnated in the next life as you wish!"

But Chi You's temper is like that, if he doesn't solve this matter, he vows not to reincarnate, so he doesn't care what glory, wealth, and high-ranking fetus the king of Hades has arranged for him.
