Chapter 417: Cultivation and Health

Qiu Shan Zhenren didn't think that he could go far in cultivation, but in terms of teaching his apprentices, he didn't want to mislead people's children, in addition to teaching Taoism and virtue, he also wanted to teach the art of seeking truth and health preservation. The second aspect of health preservation is tolerance, because tolerance is the regulating valve of psychological health.

In social interactions, it is inevitable that things will happen, and the wisest choice is to learn to be tolerant.

Tolerance is a good psychological quality!

It not only contains understanding and forgiveness, but also shows bearing and open-mindedness, strength and strength. A person who is not tolerant and only knows how to be demanding of others is often in a state of tension, which leads to nerve excitement, vasoconstriction, and increased blood pressure, so that the psychology and physiology enter a vicious circle.

If you learn to be tolerant, you will be strict with yourself and lenient with others, which is equivalent to installing a regulating valve on your own psychology.

3. Optimism is the elixir of psychological health

Optimism is a positive personality and state of mind.

It can stimulate people's vitality and potential, resolve contradictions, and overcome difficulties; while pessimism is a negative and decadent character and state of mind, which makes people sad, troubled, and painful, and is helpless in the face of difficulties, affecting physical and mental health. "Optimistic spirit, accumulate virtue and do good".

The concept of "half of health is mental health" is precisely why it advocates the public to look at and solve problems with an optimistic attitude and a positive attitude, because optimism is an open mind.

When people are happy, the body secretes endorphins, which can make people feel happy, and their personality becomes optimistic and cheerful, which is very beneficial to physical health.

Fourth, indifference is an immune agent for psychological health

Indifferent, that is, tranquil and lacking desires, not pursuing fame and fortune. "No seeking is a peace of mind, and people are self-exalted when they don't seek anything." This shows that indifference is a lofty realm and mentality, and it is the positioning of the pursuit of life at a deep level.

With an indifferent mentality, we will not follow the trend in the world, chasing fame and fortune, we will not be happy with what we gain and we will be sad when we lose things outside our body, and we will not be full of complaints and jealousy about other things in the world.

The indifferent state of mind keeps people in a peaceful state, maintains a normal heart, and all factors that are detrimental to physical and mental health will be repulsed.

Fifth, the spirit of adjustment is the golden key to health

To adjust to the spirit is to keep an open mind and a good mood.

There are two attitudes towards the bumpy and tortuous road of life, and it is inevitable that we will encounter unsatisfactory things: one is a positive attitude, open-minded, calm-minded, calm, and take various methods to resolve contradictions;

In Taoism, there is a saying that "all diseases are born from qi".

Daomen believes that "anger hurts the liver" and "anger is angry", anger will cause liver dysfunction, make qi disorder, qi and blood flow is not smooth, and liver qi is reversed, which is most likely to cause dizziness, headache, chest and rib pain, red eyes and bitter mouth, tinnitus, deafness, nasal congestion, indigestion and other symptoms, and even cause fainting and lead to "angry death".

The Taoist theory has seven emotions and five aspirations, and any kind of emotional fluctuation will cause damage to the human body, so there is a saying that "sadness hurts the lungs, joy hurts the heart, thoughts hurt the spleen, anger hurts the liver, and fear hurts the kidneys".

For example, "thinking hurts the spleen", that is, excessive thinking, spleen depression, long-term injury to the right, abnormal movement, lack of food, indigestion and other symptoms, people often become yellow and thin, and excessive happiness is the same.

Knowing the harm of emotional excess, we should pay attention to regulating our psychology in life, not rejoicing with gain, not grieving with loss, and maintaining peace of mind, which can prevent the occurrence of disease.

Ye Bugui thinks that Qiu Shan Zhenren is not necessarily a qualified cultivator, but he must be a qualified teacher.

He knows a lot of things, not only taught him to cultivate the Tao and maintain health, but also taught him the nine tenets of Taoist cultivation, which is a secret cultivation secret!

As soon as this secret of cultivation was told that he would not return at night, it became the last legacy left to him by Qiu Shan Zhenren.

Qiu Shan Zhenren said that first of all, as long as you first attain immortality, you can fully guarantee your personal cultivation, make your life more complete, and dissolve your limited life into the endless universe. This is what the Taoists call the highest state of longevity.

So how do you be quiet, how do you get rid of greed, and how do you achieve enlightenment?

As long as you follow the nine tenets of Taoist cultivation, and can cultivate and practice seriously, you can get immortal fruits.

The nine objectives are:

1. Cultivating morality, internal strength and laymanship.

Cultivating virtue, external practice. Internal strength, inner cultivation, is the nature of the mind.

Taishang Laojun once said: "The good is like water, the water is good for all things without fighting, and it is evil for everyone, so it is more than the Tao." This point is to allow people to do good deeds and accumulate virtues, and in the process of cultivation, "accumulate virtues and become immortals".

It's not that you can become an immortal by cultivating from your own inside, but you can also become an immortal if you do more and bigger with your inner cultivation and external merits.

"The saint is impermanent, he takes the heart of the people as his heart, I am good to those who are good, and I am good to those who are not good. I believe in those who believe, and I believe in those who do not believe. This is to show that the outward deeds of the people, this person is good, it is good to him, this person is not good, it is also good to him, whether there is faith or not, there must be faith in him. This is people's outward behavior.

What people want to talk about in their external behavior is: don't be attached to my doing good deeds and accumulating virtues, that is, the attachment and the thought arises, and the word "greed" itself has not been removed, and people have thought about it in the process of cultivation, that is, they want to be persistent in doing good deeds.

To do good deeds is to do it with an unintentional state, that is, to practice and practice, and to become an immortal, you must do 1,300 great goodness, and to do good deeds persistently, that is, to think.

If you do it without thought, as long as you can do it yourself, you have to have a good heart.

That is, from daily life, it is necessary to take it as a habit bit by bit, and people are walking in this rule, and they are doing good deeds in the beginning. This is external strength, and cultivation and external strength complement each other and are indispensable.

"Double cultivation of life", that is, both internal and external cultivation. Practicing sexual function improves one's moral cultivation and noble moral behavior, and it will also lead to the improvement of one's spiritual practice. If people keep cultivating like this and do good deeds every day, before they know it, their internal and external skills will improve every day.

On the other hand, if we say that virtue is insufficient, we have no relationship with the Tao, and no matter how good the internal cultivation is, it will not work without external virtue.

Cultivation does not distinguish between rich and poor, it is not rich and powerful that can be cultivated, and if there is no money and power, it cannot be cultivated, and everyone is equal in front of the Tao.

The cultivator does not say that when the powerful come, they leave the palace to greet him, and when the poor come, they will be high, and these are not good, and they should be treated equally.

There is a saying in the Taoist Gate that "the Tao is not preached".

Preaching is all fate, the rich do not sell the Tao, and give it to people on the street, this is to send people who are destined, otherwise it is not possible to have money.

In the process of cultivation, there is a saying, "Three thousand merits are full of eight hundred lines", and those who want to become immortals should establish 1,300 virtues. Second, the Tao is not preached, and the teacher is not clear.

The Taoist Gate is based on the Tao, the scriptures, and the teacher as the three treasures, because the Tao is the scriptures, and the Tao is carried because of the scriptures, which both carries the Tao and the Tao.

If you don't look at it, if you don't understand it, you won't enter the Dao, and only after you have practiced well will you enter the Dao.

The avenue of desirelessness is what Taishang Laojun said, "often have no desire to see its wonderful", those who have no desire are quiet, and the truth is pure and quiet.

People have no desires and no thoughts, and then they can open up wisdom before they can participate in the road of enlightenment, mainly self-cultivation.

Sutra refers to reciting the essence left by the ancestors, confirming its cultivation, and people themselves practice and then confirm the things left by the ancestors, which is the same as what the ancestors said, this is the scripture.

Teacher, is the teacher's biography, the so-called teacher's biography is to the master to name the Tao, the apprentice read the scriptures and can not open, these scriptures are the master has read and practiced, and then do not understand to ask him, he tells you his own experience, he has realized it, when you first get started, you must be told by the master, otherwise people ask you that you can't tell.

This teacher refers to those who have practiced and practiced, including scriptures, scientific rituals, including the highest realm of Taoism, and Jindan Dafa.
