Judge's Chapter (1)

2219, 1 May, The Hague, Netherlands.

This place is known as the "judicial capital" of the Federation.

The city of The Hague has the best law school, the best police academy, and the largest prison in the world...... There is also one of the most famous and highest-ranking courts, the Federal Court of Justice in The Hague.

While everyone knows that Crystal County is the heart of the federal government, when it comes to justice, the first thing that comes to mind is The Hague.

There is no doubt that the city is also very safe, at least on a par with Crystal County; Do you want to...... Judicial officers aside, about one or two out of every ten civilians on the street are cadet police officers or law school students, all of whom know the law and are strong-blooded, and each of them is looking forward to adding to their resumes by doing something as a student.

In this environment, you still dare to grab bags on the street? Dare to pickpocket on the bus? It is estimated that the victim doesn't have to shout himself, you have already been grabbed by three or five sharp-eyed "enthusiastic people" and then directly sent to the police station.

However, at noon on May 1, there was a man who broke the peace and tranquility here.

His name was James Lance.

At twelve o'clock in the afternoon, Lance carried a king-size piano case and went down the steps in front of the main entrance of the Federal Court of Justice in The Hague.

At first, the guards standing guard at the gate didn't pay much attention to him, because there were a lot of pedestrians here, and the culture of Europe was relatively strong, so it was not surprising that even a passer-by had a piano case in his hand.

However, when Lance took out a bazooka from the case in broad daylight, the situation spiraled out of control......

At 12:03 a.m., amid the exclamations of the surrounding crowd, a rocket burst through the air and whistled towards the statue of Giustetia (the goddess of justice with a scale in her left hand and a sword in her right) above the roof of the main entrance of the court in The Hague.

After a loud bang, the statue, which was more than five meters high, shattered into pieces of rubble and collapsed.

Since Lance had caused a considerable amount of commotion before the launch, causing the crowd in the area to disperse early, the stones did not cause casualties when they fell, but only smashed the stone steps of the courthouse entrance in several places.

When the dust settled, Lance put down the bazooka and stood there with a smile on his face, as if waiting for something.

"Don't move! Hands up! NO! As expected, after a short reaction time, the two guards at the gate of the courthouse were the first to draw their guns and rush up, still shouting the lines that everyone had heard badly in the movie.

They were followed by five or six professional police officers who were also heavily armed – the court heard so many cases every day that they were in and out at almost all the time.

Ten seconds later, just as the dozen or so people formed a formation to surround Lance, several more bailiffs ran out of the courthouse......

To make a long story short, when Lance calmly raised his hands and was about to "slowly kneel" as instructed by the officers, four or five law enforcement officers near him rushed up, pushed him to the ground, and handcuffed him.

After a breath, a police officer dragged Lance off the ground by the collar and read to him his right, the well-known phrase "You have the right to be silent, but everything you say will be testimony in court."

When Lance heard this, he just smiled and didn't speak.

A short time later, he was put into a police car and drove directly to the nearest police station.

At this time, those police officers did not know what kind of disaster their "arrest" would bring to the entire federation.
