Power system: using nuclear energy as the power source, i.e. neutron*

Technical and historical record:

After successfully stealing four Gundam prototypes from the United Earth Forces, ZAFT's technicians researched them and incorporated technologies such as the Relative Transfer Armor and Beam Sword into their Mobile Suits. After obtaining these new technologies, ZAFT also built three Gundams of their own under the orders of their leader, Patrick Sarah. However, these new mobile suits incorporate a very dangerous technology: neutron interference cancellers. ZAFT originally developed neutrons* to prevent the use of nuclear weapons by the Combine, but this also meant that mobile suits had to be supplied with short-lived battery energy packs. After the development of neutron interference eliminators, mobile suits could use nuclear fission reactors as energy, which made it possible to use relatively transferred armor almost without limits. Unfortunately, the neutron interference canceller fell into the wrong hands like Pandora's box.

One of the Gundams built by ZAFT is the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam. The biggest feature of this mobile suit is its operable jetpack that can be used in the universe or on Earth. The jetpack can also be operated by a remote control unit, so it can be used as a separate attack unit in combat. Justice's main weapon is attached to the backpack, but there is also the Vulcan Cannon, Beam Rifle, and Beam Boomerang on the mainframe. The armament on the backpack consisted of various machine guns and a pair of beam cannons. Combined, these weapons allow Justice to use an even more powerful weapon: the Meteor Support System. This mobile weapon platform is designed for the Justice and ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam, and is usually attached to the hull of the support ship Eternal. Equipped with Meteor, Justice can use a variety of cannons and a large number of missile launchers, along with two high-energy beam swords, to deliver lightning attacks to enemies.
