The expansion of human nature and animal nature during the fall of the Ming Dynasty

The year of Chongzhen Jiashen (1644 AD) of the Ming Dynasty is the seventeenth year of Zhu Youzhen's reign, a full 370 years ago (this article was written in March 2014). On the 19th day of the third lunar month of that year, Zhu Youzhen hanged himself in the coal mountain at the age of 33. The Ming Dynasty, which was established in the first year of Hongwu (1368 AD), collapsed after the vicissitudes of life in 267 years.

Due to the restrictions on transportation and various aspects, coupled with social unrest, robbers were numerous, and three months later, in June of that year, Sichuan learned of the death of Emperor Chongzhen. It was at this time that the rogue, Zhang Xianzhong, began to attack Chongqing in Sichuan (Chongqing was separated from Sichuan, which was very close). Within a few days, Chongqing was captured by Zhang Xianzhong. The governor of Sichuan at that time was Chen Shiqi, who led the army of the imperial court to fight against the rogues. Huanghuang Wang Shi was no match for a group of miscellaneous troops, and poor Chen Shiqi was captured alive by the rogue. The minions of the Liukou took Chen Shiqi to meet their leader, Zhang Xianzhong. When Chen Shiqi saw Zhang Xianzhong, he scolded endlessly. The way the rogues dealt with Chen Shiqi was: chop off his hands, cut off his feet, gouge out his eyes, and cut off his tongue. Chen Shiqi died in cruel torture. The perversion of the rogues and the loyalty of the court officials were vividly expressed when the Ming Dynasty collapsed. This is not the end, this is the beginning. The curtain of the show between human nature and animal nature has just begun.

When the Liukou captured Chongqing, Sichuan, Wang Xingjian, the prefect of Chongqing, and Wang Xi, the prefect of Ba County, Sichuan, were also captured alive. At that time, after Wang Xi was captured by the Liukou and taken to the camp of the Liukou, Zhang Xianzhong scolded him to kneel, Wang Xi was very calm, his face did not change, and he glared at Zhang Xianzhong angrily. didn't wait for a while, Wang Xingjian was also tied up into the camp by the Liukou's pawns. The shouts of the outcasts inside and outside the camp were like thunder, deafening. When Wang Xingjian saw this trip, his face was full of fear, and he seemed to be begging for mercy. Seeing this, Wang Xi said sharply:

"My lord, you have received the great favor of the imperial court, the world is in chaos, and the government has been abused by this, haven't you ever thought about serving the court with a death? Haven't you ever thought about what kind of face you will have to meet the first emperor underground? It's easy to bend your knees, but if you want to straighten it again, I'm afraid it's hard, right? The general trend of the world has been eroded to this point, is there any point in stealing a life and making compromises? ”

When the rogues heard Wang Xi's words, they were furious and killed Wang Xi on the spot. Wang Xingjian was subsequently executed by the rogues.

In that year, Zhu Changhao, the king of Rui who was divided into Hanzhong by the Ming court, could not sleep in Hanzhong because of the disturbance of the Liukou, so he took his family and prepared to go to Sichuan to seek refuge in the king of Shu. The world is in turmoil, where will there be a pure land to put pillow mats? When Zhu Changhao walked to Chongqing, he met Zhang Xianzhong, a high-ranking man, who captured Chongqing. Zhu Changhao's team was killed together with Chen Shiqi. It is said that during the capture of Chongqing City, the squires, scholars, soldiers, ordinary people, men and women inside and outside Chongqing at that time added up to several million, and all of them were killed by the rogues. Among them, there are also those who unfortunately survived: basically their hands were chopped off, and their ears and noses were cut off. Historical records may be exaggerated, but the tragedy of the time can be imagined by guessing the situation at that time based on the riot scenes of the so-called civilized era, and you can imagine the squalor and unbearable at that time. The cruelest human nature and the most tyrannical animal nature are most truly expressed in war.

Less than a month after the capture of Chongqing, the Liukou Zhang Xianzhong began to attack Chengdu, Sichuan. At that time, there were still 30,000 imperial troops in Chengdu. It is said that these 30,000 troops still have some ability to resist. However, when the world was in turmoil, the King of Shu was still thinking about his power and how to engage in intrigues. The behavior of the king of Shu aroused the dissatisfaction of Liu Zhibo, the governor of Sichuan, and he committed suicide by jumping into the river, but the attempt failed, so Liu closed the door. This incident made the city guard of Chengdu lax at that time. The rogues took this opportunity, dressed up in Qiao Zhuang, mixed into Chengdu, and settled in some monasteries. After this layout, the Liukou should have been all over the streets and alleys in Chengdu at that time. After Liu Zhibo closed his door for four days, he came out to deal with relevant affairs under the bitter pleading of a group of officials. At this point, the layout of the rogue has been properly arranged. When Liu Zhibo and other officials asked the king of Shu for the allocation of food and wages, the king of Shu actually loved money. I really don't know life and death, I only know power and money.

At that time, the king of Shu said this:

"You want food, don't you? There is a quantity of money and grain in my treasury, and I cannot move it around. There is a carrying hall below. If you want, you can tear it down and sell it for some food. ”

Liu Zhibo was furious and said:

"Your Highness, your carrying hall, I don't think anyone can afford it, think only Li Zicheng can afford it."

Looking at this paragraph today, it seems to be a joke. But the drug of power and money, who doesn't know the taste of the marrow, who can't get drunk after eating it?

In this way, Chengdu was captured under the cannon fire of the rogue Zhang Xianzhong. The rogue invaded inside and outside, regardless of men, women, old and young, good and bad, soldiers and civilians inside and outside Chengdu, the rogue saw and killed. I fought for three days before I began to surrender. This is bestiality, look at it! On this day, the king of Shu and his eldest wife jumped into the well; On this day, Liu Zhibo, the governor of Sichuan, Liu Shidou, the magistrate, and Shen Yunzuo, the magistrate of Huayang, put on their official uniforms, faced south, and committed suicide by drinking poison; On this day, many unnamed officials were killed in the scuffle; On this day, there was an official who surrendered, this person was Wu Jishan, the magistrate of Chengdu, who held the official seal in his left hand and a concubine in his right hand, begging for his life in front of Liukou's horse.

Three days after the fall of Chengdu, the rogues fished out the bodies of the king of Shu and the princess from the well, and Zhang Xianzhong personally held the knife and cut the corpse three times before letting the minions carry the corpse out and throw it into the river. The prince of Shu was eighteen years old, and the princess, grandson, and two county lords (seven or eight years old, teenage range) were all captured alive, all of whom were raised by Zhang Xianzhong's henchmen.

After the fall of Chengdu, tragedy and farce were staged simultaneously.

Zhang Xianzhong established himself as the Emperor of Dashun, and the next thing was to confer the title of knight: in addition to the clay legs that were unveiled with Zhang Xianzhong; There is also a lifelong member (Xiucai and the like) Hu Mo made a secretary of the ministry; Wang Guoning, who used to be a deputy member of the Ming Dynasty (equivalent to the preparatory department), made a household book; Wu Jishan, the magistrate of Chengdu County, who surrendered with his concubine, made a book of the Ministry of Rites - it seems that surrender not only saved his life, but also served as a large official; Jinshi Gong Wanjing made a military secretary; There are also Taoist priests, archers and other colorful people, etc., all of which are stained with brilliance. During this period, the rogues also named the prince of Shu as the prince of Taiping, and it didn't take long for him to be poisoned to death; The princess was also assigned as a prostitute.

After rewarding the officials, the Dashun Dynasty also carried out the opening of the department, and thousands of people took the exam. It seems that as long as there is a crack in the road to promotion and fortune, someone will sharpen their heads and drill into it. This time, Gong Jimin, a student with a poor reputation and poor conduct in a certain state, was named the champion, not because his articles were well written, but because his name was very suitable for Zhang Xianzhong's taste. Tong Sheng Xiong from Shifang County, Sichuan, is almost sixty years old, and he was so happy that he almost went crazy when he hit Tanhua this time, maybe he was compared with Fan Jinzhongju. A few days after the list was released, the examination department presented the exam paper to the top, and it saw that there was such a sentence in the answer sheet of Tanhua Xiong's "countermeasures":

"In a corner of Xishu, those who swim in it are like frogs at the bottom of the well, which are not enough and promising."

Zhang Xianzhong's prime minister Wang Zhaoling reported to Zhang Xianzhong, Zhang Xianzhong thought that he was satirizing himself, and poor Xiong's happiness had not passed, so he was immediately chopped alive. Originally, Xiong wanted to pat the sycophants of the Dashun Dynasty, and didn't want to be kicked to death by the horse.

The autocracy of the Dashun Dynasty has reached the level of perversion. Think about the madness and cruelty of the rogue after he came to power, you will find that the original rogue is in the same line, and the descendants of the rogue will not be much purer than his ancestors, of course, they are all more than good. Under the rule of the Dashun Dynasty, the military and civilians were not allowed to travel with each other; Even fathers and sons, husbands and wives, and family members cannot talk to each other casually; Coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings and funerals, no one dares to invite the band to play, dare not drink, and dare not sit at the same table; At five or six o'clock in the afternoon, everyone had to close the doors and windows and go to bed, not daring to light the lights and gossip. If one family violates the above taboo, nine families will be implicated above, and nine families will be implicated below, and all of them will be executed. As long as the rogues catch the squire, the clan, or the scholar, regardless of the age, kill them immediately; confiscation of family property; All wives and concubines were sent to brothels. Every four days, the rogues would send men into each house to inspect them, and if anyone went out to do business and did not come back, or if they had other things to do and did not come home, or if they were sick and lying in bed, they would say that the people in the house were spies and bad people, and that the house and the neighbors in the same street were all suffering, and the men were beheaded and the women were sent to the brothels.

The Dashun Dynasty has a face project and a political performance project. For these works, they also forcibly demolished. It seems that China's forced demolitions also have a history to follow, and it would be interesting if this could also be applied for inclusion in the World Heritage List. The Dashun Dynasty made the streets in Chengdu more than ten zhang wide, the road surface was flat as a mirror, straight as an arrow, and could accommodate fifty cavalry walking side by side at the same time. If there are houses on both sides of the road that obstruct the road, they are to be demolished immediately. It is said that more than one million houses were demolished at that time.

The four city gates of Chengdu are guarded by Zhang Xianzhong's henchmen, and the residents of the city are not allowed to leave the city. Merchants from outside the city who want to enter the city will be issued a temporary pass according to the age and appearance of the person, and the same stamps will be stamped on the left and right faces. When the businessman is about to go out of the city, first verify the stamps on your left and right faces; Revalidate your temporary pass. Some people, because of the hot weather and sweat, blurred or lost the stamp marks on their faces, even if you have a temporary pass, you will be regarded as a spy and taken to the yamen of the Dashun Dynasty, tortured, made you give your name and your home address, and then you will have your head cut off, and all your family members will be arrested and killed.

In addition to this, the rogue gangsters are also densely packed with spies. Spies disguised themselves as beggars and businessmen to blend in with the people. As long as you see ordinary people playing with each other, making jokes, telling jokes, or talking about household affairs, you will immediately be charged with "gossiping", and in addition to killing your entire family, you will also be forced to sit together, and all your neighbors and township parties will suffer, and hundreds of thousands of people will die inexplicably at every turn.

The text of the rogues is no looser than that of any dynasty in history. There was a student named Xia Dawu in Huguang Huangzhou, who was forcibly conscripted into the army by the Liukou and given the position of governor to sit on. He said it privately

"The big husband can't be without a blow from Bolang!"

was secretly accused of Zhang Xianzhong, and this person was immediately chopped alive, and all the more than 50 members of the family were killed.

The rogues committed more tragic crimes, and if they continue to write, it will be cruel.

Although many descendants have argued for Zhang Xianzhong's "entry into Shu", looking at everything that has happened or is happening in the recent historical period of this world, I still think that this history has its basis and this history has its reference value.

The Ming Dynasty, which lasted 276 years, still collapsed, and the Dashun Dynasty was established in a flash in the pan.

History is a mirror that provides insight into the rise and fall of the human world, illuminating human nature and revealing animal nature.

Woohoo, alas!
