Chapter 10: Chapter 2: London Encounters (6)

Christmas Eve was a little deserted, and the streets outside were deserted early in the morning.

Alice asked me to borrow five hundred pounds to go to Edinburgh, Jay came over to spend Christmas Eve with me, and we both bought a Christmas tree and dressed it up with candy, lanterns, and gifts, and the sense of holiday ritual was revealed.

I wanted to have Christmas Eve a little more lively, but Jay lay down in my room and fell asleep after dinner, because he was going to drive to Switzerland with friends tomorrow morning.

I didn't feel it when he left, and by the time I woke up, it was past nine o'clock when I received a text message from him saying that I had left London and was heading for Switzerland.

I messaged him back and wished him a great trip.

It's not once or twice to celebrate the holiday alone, but it's just another layer of loneliness, and it's not a big deal.

Jay was going to go for seven days, so I was going to stay at home for seven days, cook some porridge, go to the supermarket and buy some noodles and vegetables. I thought I could always carry this week.

In fact, it wasn't an easy week.

In the winter, London's bars were still crowded, but I didn't go to it once, and I didn't practice sight-singing for a while. In order to protect my throat, I tried not to speak as much as possible, and if I did, I would probably not speak more than ten times in a week.

I didn't want to see the white noodles again until noon on the third day, so I dumped the boiled noodles into the trash in the next second.

I drank some boiling water and went back to sleep, and at about three o'clock in the afternoon I woke up hungry again, got up and ordered a takeout, a meat sauce noodles, and the arugula on top was jelly and black. I took it aside and took a few bites, but it was still boring and I wondered why I was eating noodles.

I may be sick and confused.

I called Jay to complain to him, but no one answered. I tossed it aside and ran downstairs to borrow the piano from Mrs. Durris's house. My frozen-red hands struggled to stretch, so I gave up again and came back in a huff.

It seems that nothing can be done.

I was alone in the apartment, I had a fever and a headache, I was very depressed, I cried alone, and continued to call him.

Half an hour later, there was no answer.

I went back to my room to get ready for bed. At this time, I heard movement outside, and I panicked out of the room to take a look, and found that it was Jay who had returned. However, he was a little disgraced, and there were a few freshly scabbed scars on the back of his hands.

As soon as I saw my loved one, I hugged him, ignoring the melted snow on his coat.

"I miss you so much."

"What's wrong?"

"The cold hasn't healed yet, and I have a terrible headache."

"Have you taken the medicine?"

"Yes, I miss you so much." I hugged him again, "You're back." ”

"Hey." He sighed.

I remembered him and asked him, "What happened to come back?" ”

"His uncle, that kid Chen didn't do a good job, it's snowing everywhere in Europe, and we came back from the freezing!" Jay was wearing a super thick down jacket, but the surface was completely wet, and it should have been "drenched" with a lot of snow.

It turned out that his ski trip was not smooth.

While he finished drinking water, I ordered takeout from a nearby pizza shop for him. Jay went to the bedroom to look for clothes, and a loud voice came from the room.

"We couldn't find a family hotel to live in last night, so we were going to spend the night in the car, who knew that the temperature in the early morning was super low, the temperature in the car was close to freezing, hiding in a sleeping bag didn't help, and I couldn't sleep at all when I woke up from the cold."

He went to take a hot shower, didn't bring a change of clothes, and walked around the heated room in my baggy pink T-shirt, revealing the muscular lines of his arms.

While eating pizza and milk, he told me that they flew to Paris, France yesterday morning, rented an SUV and prepared to go all the way south to Switzerland. Braving the cold and ice, he and his friends chained their tires and continued to drive around the neighborhood in search of a hotel, but unfortunately they were all full.

So they decided to sleep in the car, but the four big men were so big, it was very uncomfortable to shrink their bodies in sleeping bags, and as the time became later and later, the temperature in the car dropped from more than ten degrees to minus one or two degrees, so cold that people couldn't sleep at all, and everyone survived the night in the despair of being sleepy and cold.

The next day the snow was still heavy, and the snowplows were coming and going to clear all the time, and everyone retreated, bought tickets and flew back to London from Paris.

"I knew that I wouldn't have listened to Chen's words to drive myself, and I would have flown directly to Zurich." Jay looked displeased, eager to peel Chen's skin.

I couldn't stop laughing.

"Why don't I take you another day? Let's have a romantic ski trip for the two of us! He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and held the greasy pizza in his other hand.

"No, no, no." I waved my hand in protest, "I don't even want to go out this winter." ”

"By the way, are you going back to China for the Spring Festival?"

"No return."

He was a little surprised, "You're not a student who can't afford to pay for a plane ticket. ”

"I don't want to go back, I don't want to see both of them."

"Mom and Dad? Then I'll stay with you for the Spring Festival. ”

"Really?"

"Yes. But ......" he stopped talking.

"What's wrong? It's not your character. ”

"I live in a dormitory, and I don't have a place to stay in London if I don't go home this winter break."

I understood what he meant, and pointed to the master bedroom, "Then I'll give you the master bedroom, and I'll sleep in Alice's room." ”

"So small?"

"But at least some of them sleep."

"I don't do it." Jay resisted, his dejected expression like a childish ghost.

"Does she still want to live with you? Just charge a little rent. ”

"She's my friend, and she's more responsible for the sanitation of the apartment, so why bother."

"Yes, but she and Chen seem to have quarreled recently."

"Really? She didn't tell me. I recalled her recent form, "But it didn't seem right, and she asked me if I borrowed five hundred pounds." I've known her for two or three years and for the first time she asked me to borrow so much. ”

"Borrow money?"

"yes, she said she would pay me back next month. Maybe I bought a gift for my family. ”

"That's... If you don't want Alice to move in with Chen, I'll join you. ”

"The beauty you think!"

I got up and went back to the bedroom in surprise and shyness, "It's not early, I'll go wash up first, and you can hurry up and go to rest after eating." ”

I always lock the door when I sleep, but tonight I didn't, but Jay didn't come.

After a night's sleep, he was a little out of shape, claiming to have been abused by me. I knew I didn't take good care of him last night, but I really couldn't help it.

The next night we sat on the couch and watched the movie, he kept lying on top of me, and I said, "I'm going to sleep." ”

"Take me with you."

"What?"

"It's too cold to sleep alone!"

"If it's not cold enough, put your clothesβ€”"

The warm breath came over my face, with some beer drunkenness.

I could see his nervous face in the soft yellow light, and I could guess what he was trying to do.

"The small room is too cold, and the quilt here is still thick." His head rested on my shoulder, and he faced me very innocently, and began to play hooligan.

"That?"

"Together."

Before he could reply, he picked me up and walked to the master bedroom.

His kiss landed on my ears and neck.

I can't tell whether this behavior comes from desire or love, I just know that I love him at the moment, so I am willing to give.

The sun is holding up in London, and the snow is waiting to melt. I looked out the window and suddenly felt that I had grown bored after spending so much time in London, and that I was bored with this place full of art designs and bars.

I stayed in the room and watched Mozart's opera "The Marriage of Figaro", and fell asleep boringly. The days off are actually boring, and it seems that there are many things to do, but when you really want to do something, you feel that there is nothing to do.

Because of the cold and bad throat, I couldn't practice music, and my only friend, Alice, was far away in Edinburgh at the moment. Seeing that I was sitting in my apartment all day with nothing to do, Jay suggested going on vacation.

I agreed with his idea, handed him the supplementary card my father gave me, and said very politely: "Where to go, the air ticket and hotel are all up to you, and the password is my birthday." ”

"So you're welcome?"

"Of course." I say.
