Chapter 68: Ancient Legends
When it comes to Hydra, most people in the know will probably tell you that it is an evil organization that was born from the Na of Germany. During World War II, a guy named Schmidt founded the organization, instilling in its members an almost cult belief and making "world domination" the ultimate goal of the organization...... Yes, the old-fashioned and second-class goal, in this era when villains are generally becoming more and more individual, there are few people who regard this old-fashioned dream as the end point.
However, in fact, Hydra was not originally founded by Schmidt. This organization has been around for thousands of years, and their most primitive and original ambitions are actually not as ambitious as they have been. Their purpose at the beginning was simple - to welcome the return of one of the first Inhumans born on Earth.
This part of the story has to talk about the experiment that the ancient Kree people came to Earth to do. In order to provide more excellent warriors (cannon) soldiers (gray) for the war of the Kree Empire, the Kree people conducted a series of genetic modification experiments on Earth, and thus created the Inhuman race. But in order to facilitate management, they need a human spokesman, an Inhuman ruler.
That was the first Inhuman in history, known as the "Hive".
To the governed, the hive is absolute authority. He is the supreme ruler and is believed to be the embodiment of God. He was gifted with the gift of making any alien, no matter how powerful, willing to submit to him, so that he could rule on behalf of the Krees.
But no matter how glamorous and beautiful he looks, after all, he is the agent of the Cree people. Even if he is a king, he is also a king who wears shackles and works for others.
Until there was infighting among the Kree stationed on Earth. After a series of internal disputes, the Kree Empire finally decided to terminate the Inhuman experiment, and all the Kree withdrew from Earth. At this point, the behind-the-scenes boss who had been oppressing on the top of the hive finally turned around and left, and he was finally able to turn around and become a real ruler.
However, the good times were short-lived.
The Hive's recklessness in sitting on the throne for so long provoked a fierce revolt, and a group of Inhumans who had escaped his clutches united with humanity to find a way to banish the Hive to an unknown alien planet.
And those who hoped that he would return to rule the leadership created the prototype of the organization "Hydra". Determined to bring the hive back from another planet, they store the stones that open the portal to the alien planet, and regularly send people through the door to try to bring their leader back, but none of them have come out in thousands of years.
Thousands of years later, Hydra has developed to this day, and not many people know this origin story anymore. And even those who know about it mostly don't take it seriously anymore. Thousands of years are too long to erode the prestige and faith of the ancient ruler who was said to be the god of hydra.
Just kidding, how many years has it been? God knows if that old immortal is hanging up now. Even if he is really so capable, he still hasn't lost his breath, but a person who has been exiled to the alien world for thousands of years should be crazy even if he doesn't die, right?
Therefore, for most of the normal-thinking Hydra leaders later, compared with the idiotic ideal of "welcoming the god of Hydra", it is really the old ambition of Red Skull to "overthrow the Allied forces and rule the world" is more reliable.
However, even today, there are still a handful of ancient families, and even if the abilities and names of the ancient gods that have been passed down to this day have been lost, they still hold on to their beliefs. For thousands of years, they have persistently sent people to explore the other side of the portal, hoping that one day someone will suddenly return from the other side of the door, and bring back some ultimate alien who can only help them dominate the world and conquer everything......
...... But it seems that he still wants to conquer the world, so sure enough, anyone who comes out of Hydra doesn't even have any creativity to daydream.
Former Hydra Oversight Board elder Gideon Malik is a descendant of one such family, and so far he has been the closest to completing the Where's the Boss project. His scientists have been working tirelessly on the stone that opened the portal to the alien planet with modern cutting-edge technology, and now they have finally achieved some results. They gave Malik a theoretical solution, telling him that maybe he could actually bring someone back from the other side of the portal.
For Malik now, this is undoubtedly the best option. Now that the Hydra ruling faction has fallen, somehow the remaining 80% of the power of the entire organization seems to be in the hands of their sworn enemy, the Black Knight. Thanks to the fact that Gideon Malik is not the direct leader of Hydra, but a member of the "oversight committee" that oversees the work of senior leadership, he has not been approached so far.
But he knew in his heart that it was only a matter of time. He woke up every morning worrying about whether the guy in black armor would blow up the roof and fall from the sky and pronounce his death sentence like a grim reaper.
The Black Knight was too powerful, and Malik watched the entire organization being torn to shreds by that guy alone, and it was not an enemy he could fight against. So he decided to make a last-ditch effort and pour all his hope into that legendary ancient leader. If this leader is really as divine as his ancestors have passed down, he will be able to turn things around and regain control of the overall situation.
After opening the portal this time, he sent his most elite team over, and by the way, he also sent the two scientists who proposed the plan to guide them on the spot.
If you don't succeed, you will become a benevolent, and now there is no point in saving your strength (anyway, whether you keep your strength or not is discovered by the enemy is a matter of being killed in seconds), so it is better to send the best combat power to explore on the other side to increase the chance of success.
Gideon Malik waited anxiously outside the portal, spending the longest twelve hours of his life.
He saw a hand reach out of the portal, clutching hard at the concrete floor.
Malik staggered up from his chair and stared intently at the swarthy portal.
A man crawled out of it with difficulty, he was half-on his knees, panting violently. Malik knew him, and that was Jonathan Burt, his best agent.
But the moment the man looked up slowly, and his dark eyes met Malik's gaze, Malik understood that this man was no longer the agent he had sent.
This is the Hive, which parasitizes the agent sent by Malik with its superpowers, and successfully finds its way back from another world.
Malik wanted to laugh.
He succeeded, he did what Hydra hadn't done in thousands of years! He brought back a god, and now the god will take him to fight back!
