The Legend of the Six-Eared Macaque (This story is purely fictional, if there are similarities, it is a coincidence)

Everyone knows the six-eared macaque, it's the fake Wukong. I often feel sorry for this fake Wukong. If it weren't for Rulai's help, he wouldn't have died under Goku's stick.

If you can know the past and the future, of course, you also know that if you intervene to help Goku, then this fake Goku will definitely die.

So if you want him to die? Why did Rulai want him to die?

If it is supposed to be absolutely merciful, it should not be so careless to let a living being die for his own reasons. Even if the six-eared macaque hinders the great cause of learning the scriptures, the sin will not lead to death, right? So many Bodhisattvas and immortals' subordinates will be demons in the next session, and they will only be taken back in the end, why should this six-eared macaque die?

I think the death of the six-eared macaque is definitely not because he hindered Tang Seng's great cause of learning scriptures, there are deeper unknown reasons for this.

With this doubt in mind, I consulted a large number of Buddhist scriptures and historical documents. Finally, the cause and effect of this little-known story are clearly understood.

This is a story of a feud between Shakyamuni and the six-eared macaque that lasted for eternity.

Let me tell you this story.

According to the record of the Eight Manifestations of Shakyamuni, before the immeasurable eons of the past, when the Buddha lived in the world, there was a good and wise immortal who took refuge in the Buddha. This good and wise immortal is Shakyamuni's previous life, and the good and wise immortal was just an ordinary person before he practiced. Because he has been through countless eons as a mortal, we don't have to ask what his original name was, we might as well call him Shanhui, or Shakyamuni's past life, and so on.

There are tens of millions of people who practice in front of the Buddha of the Burning Lamp, there are mortals, there are six sentient beings, Shanhui is just one of them, the protagonist of our story is the six-eared macaque in his previous life, at that time he did not have six ears, he was just an ordinary monkey, we don't know his name, we might as well call him a monkey.

Shanhui and the monkey were originally friends, and the two of them went together to listen to the mantra of Dazhi before lighting the lamp. After hearing this, Shanhui decided to become a monk, practice bodhisattva behavior, realize the great wisdom of the universe, and aspire to universalize all sentient beings, so that sentient beings can turn into enlightenment and be free from suffering and happiness. Lighting the lamp then gave a note to Shanhui and said, "In the future, you will become a Buddha in the world of Suva, and after becoming a Buddha, you will be called Shakyamuni and save all sentient beings." ”

And what about this monkey, after hearing this, he repeatedly called it "false!" "Calling a Buddha is a big fallacy. It is not shallow to mislead sentient beings.

When the Buddha asked the monkey why he said this, the monkey asked the Buddha and said, "World-honored One, according to what you said, sentient beings in the six realms, those who do good karma will receive good results, and those who do bad karma will receive evil results, but in my opinion, this is not necessarily the case. Qiang Liang sang happily every night, and all his life was to take and rob by force, and indulge in extravagant pleasures until the end of his life. I don't think he ever worried about any bad retribution, and even if you told him these truths, he might not believe them. For all he saw was the evil he had done, but he received good recompense. What is the use of your Dharma for him? Another example is a kind person, who has done good deeds in his life, but is eventually harmed by wicked people, how can he talk about good fortune? And the people around him see the good karma he has done but the bad retribution he has received, how can they believe in your Dharma? I don't think your Dharma is useful to the world! It will only harm the good, but it will not punish the wicked. What is the use of it? ”

You don't know that if a wicked person does evil in this life, he will receive evil retribution in the next life or after a certain life, or he will fall into hell and suffer, or he will be enslaved and slaughtered by people in the animal realm, and the good fortune that the wicked will receive in this life is the result of his good deeds in the previous life. The reason why a good person in this life receives evil retribution is due to his evil deeds in previous lives, and the good deeds of a good person will definitely be blessed in the next life. ”

The monkey said to him, "I don't know any past or future lives, but I only know this life." Not only do I not know the past and future lives, but the world does not know the past and future lives, but the world only knows that there is something here, and I reach out and take it, and this thing will come into my hands. If no one comes to snatch it from me at the moment, then it is mine. How can there be retribution in the afterlife? Only the great wise can see what happened before a certain number of eons in a previous life, how can a mortal prove his cause and effect, if he can't do it, then you can only say that he believes, and the unbeliever will go on his own all his life, and your Dharma will work for him? ”

The great wise man lit the lamp and said to the monkey: "I see you as a destined person, I will give you a treasure today, starting from this life, you can remember the eternal eons in the future, and you will not forget the things of this life in the next life, and you can remember the things of the past life in this life." to prove cause and effect. How is it? ”

The monkey thanked Rulai and rejoiced. After a while, he had doubts, and asked Burning the Lamp Ru and said: "Although I can prove my cause and effect, I want to know the cause and effect of the people in the world, but most of the people in the world are duplicitous, good people with good faces and evil hearts, everyone looks at the good deeds he has done, but he has done evil things behind his back, everyone looks at the Buddha's scriptures he believes, but he does despicable things behind his back, how can I know the truth of his cause and effect?" ”

Rulai pointed at the monkey and said, "You monkey is very interesting, well, I will give you two more skills, a pair of bright golden eyes, can see the true nature of all things, a pair of ears to hear the true heart of all beings." You can go to the six realms of reincarnation, in the midst of eternal eons, to confirm the truth of cause and effect. ”

The monkey bowed to the lantern three times and said goodbye to the lantern with Shanhui.

(Regarding the six realms of reincarnation: The so-called six realms of reincarnation are the heavenly path, the assura path, humanity, hell, hungry ghosts, and animals, Buddhism believes that all beings, not just humans, suffer from reincarnation in these six realms, even if they are gods in the heavenly realm, they will die, and then they will be thrown into the six realms of reincarnation.) If a person does evil in this life, he will be reincarnated as an animal, or he will go to hell and suffer, or he will become a hungry ghost and suffer a lot of suffering. )

I don't know how many generations have passed, located in the southern foothills of the Himalayas, the highest peak in the world, there is a Kapila kingdom, and the wife of the king King Johan, Lady Maya, gave birth to a prince named Siddhartha Gautama. It is said that when the prince was just born, he was able to walk seven steps around, and where he stepped on his feet, seven lotus flowers appeared, and he raised his eyes to look around, pointing to the sky with one hand and the ground with the other, and said to himself: "Heaven and the world, I am the only one." ”

When Prince Siddhartha was nineteen years old, he went out of the city and saw the painful conditions of old age, sickness, and death, and felt that no one could escape such pain, so he made the greatest determination, abandoned his throne, wealth, and his parents and wife, and became a monk to find a way out of his suffering and the truth of life.

After Siddhartha became a monk, he searched for famous teachers, but none of their teachings satisfied him, and after six years of asceticism, he still could not attain the truth, and then came to meditate under a Bodhi tree near Mount Gaya and made a vow: "I will not become enlightened, and I will not be able to swear to this seat." ”

In this way, in the middle of the night on February 8, when Siddhartha was 30 years old, suddenly a star appeared in the sky. At this time, rigpa and enlightenment are combined into one enlightenment, and the reason is as good as the wisdom, and the reason is the same, and he has already attained the state of nirvana, which is imperishable in life and death, and there is no obstacle or hindrance, so Siddhartha thus realized the path of life in the universe, jumped out of this shore of the suffering of birth and death, reached the other shore of nirvana liberation, became a Buddha on the ground, attained the fruit of the three bodhisattvas of Anuttara, and became the exclusive teacher of heaven and man in the three worlds.

After Siddhartha attained enlightenment, he was called Shakyamuni and began to speak the Dharma for the benefit of sentient beings.

From time to time, the World-Honored Shakyamuni said that the six realms of beings came to listen to the sermon. In the midst of this, there was an old man who looked up and smiled at the Buddha. The Buddha retreated from the sentient beings, called the old man to the front, and said, "Monkey, can you prove the way of cause and effect after a few eons?" ”

The old man replied to the World-Honored One, "Do the Virtuous Immortals recognize me?" ”

The Buddha said, "How can you and I not know that countless eons ago, you once lit a lamp in the previous life and asked about cause and effect, but now you have an understanding?" ”

The old man said, "Farewell to the Buddha on that day, you and I will find our way." I have been reincarnated as a monkey for several eons in the path of animals, and I have been reincarnated as a human for several eons in the path of the world, but I don't know the cause and effect yet. ”

The Buddha said, "In the previous life, the Buddha lit the lamp and allowed you to know the things of the previous life, and also gave you the golden eyes of the soul and the six ears of hearing, but you still don't know the cause and effect." ”

The old man said, "I have no good or evil in my heart, and I do not do good deeds or evil deeds, so there is no cause and no effect." So I don't know cause and effect. ”

The Buddha said, "Cause and effect are there, but you don't see them." ”

The old man said, "I still don't know the cause and effect after all the eons, and now I am even more confused when I hear you preach. ”

The Buddha said, "What doubts do you have? ”

The old man said, "I heard you say that the birth, old age, sickness and death of all living beings are suffering, there are old age and death because there is birth, there is birth because there is karma, the power of karma pushes us to be born, old, sick and die and endure all kinds of suffering, the reason why we have karma is because we have attachment, we have to take because we have love, there is love because we have receiving, there is receiving because there is touch, there is touch because there are touches, there are touches, six roots grow from the mother's womb, and the womb is because of the impetus of karma, so we have touch, there is receiving, there is love, there is grasping, we have karma, so we die and reincarnate again, and enter the cycle of suffering. If you want to get out of this cycle, you must destroy your karma, so you will be destroyed, love, old age, and death. ”

The Buddha listened to the old man's words and said nothing, and continued to speak with his eyes.

Then the old man said, "In my opinion, the joy of destroying all things is not pleasure, but a foolishness that deceives oneself and others. You think that birth, old age, sickness and death are suffering, and you get this statement, in my opinion, it is just a fear of birth, old age, sickness and death, what is the horror of birth, old age, sickness and death, I have seen countless heroes with lofty ideals in countless tribulations, and would rather throw away their lives to obtain the truth, this is where the true Tao lies, and how can those who are greedy for life and afraid of death talk about Buddhism in vain? I have also seen countless people who have taken refuge in the Buddha in countless eons, abandoned their families, abandoned the world's feelings and reason, and did many ruthless and unrighteous things, and only wanted to achieve their own positive results. And these countless people who want to take refuge in the Buddha are all taking refuge in the Buddha for the purpose of their own great happiness, and it is ridiculous that such selfish people still talk about purifying sentient beings. You still say that you will be blessed, that you will be blessed with faith, but I feel a little strange, karma is not extinguished, and you can transcend it with just your words? Could it be that your lies have deceived people into believing you? If a person who is a heinous sinner puts down his butcher's knife and becomes a Buddha, where does the karma he creates go away? I don't believe anything you say! ”

The Buddha smiled and said to the old man, "The monkey is still stupid after thousands of eons, and I don't know how many more calamities it will have to go through before it becomes enlightened." After speaking, he closed his eyes and said nothing.

The old man saw that the Buddha did not speak, so he retreated by himself.

The Shura Dao, one of the six realms, says that it is a god, but it does not have the good deeds of the gods, and there are similarities with ghosts. It is said to be a ghost, but it has the power of a god. It is said that it is a human being, although it has the seven emotions and six desires of people, but it also has the power and viciousness of gods and ghosts. Therefore, it is a monster that is not a god, a ghost, or a human, and is between gods, ghosts, and humans.

Those who are reborn in the assura path, although they have not done any great evil deeds in their past lives, are very contemptuous, very proud, and either look down on others or are jealous that others are better than themselves.

I don't know which world it was, the wife of the Shura king Poya gave birth to a pair of twins, a boy and a girl, the daughter is handsome, and the boy is able to speak, and when he grows up, he can argue the truth of what he says, and he can recognize the truth of all things.

One day, Poya took her daughter Roslo and her male Vimala to listen to the Buddha's teachings in front of the Buddha. The people who listened to the Buddha's teachings also included the gods of the heavenly realm led by the Emperor Shakti (known as the Jade Emperor in China).

The Buddha summoned Vimala to come forward and asked, "Vimala, do you have something to ask me?" ”

Vimala stepped forward and said, "Buddha, now you know me and I know you, you and I both know my previous life, and in my previous life, I only wanted to be an ordinary mortal, not to do evil things in my life, nor to do good deeds. I thought I would be reincarnated in the path of the world, but now I have fallen into the path of Shura, and I don't know what the reason is. ”

The Buddha said: "Although you have never done good deeds in all eternity, but you have never done evil, this is a great good deed, reincarnation is destined for you to enjoy the blessings of heaven and man in this life, but you destroy the teacher and destroy the Tao, slander the world, so you should be reincarnated in the path of asura." ”

Vima asked: "I only don't know one thing, I am destroying you as a teacher, destroying your way, slandering you as a world-honored person, but I have never recognized you as a teacher, I have never believed in your way, and I have never respected you as a world-honored person, if there is no you in this world, then which reincarnation should I practice?" ”

The Buddha said, "Reincarnation is destined, and it is not something you and I can do." You don't have to blame me. ”

Vimozi snorted and left his seat angrily.

A few days later, the Emperor of Heaven sent a messenger to say that he wanted to marry Roslo, the daughter of the king of Shura, but Poya did not allow it, and angrily reprimanded the messenger, saying that the Buddha often defended the gods and deceived Shura, and often preached more to the Emperor and less to Shura, and now he is insatiable and wants to marry my daughter.

After the envoy was expelled, Vimalia said to his father, Bhaya, "I don't think the Emperor of Heaven will be reconciled, and he will come to ask for his wife." Although our clan has the same power and supernatural powers as the Emperor of Heaven, we do not have the same blessings as the Emperor of Heaven. We might as well mention some harsh conditions, if the Emperor of Heaven does not allow it, then we can't be blamed. ”

Sure enough, the Emperor of Heaven sent someone to ask for his relatives, and Vimal said to the envoy: "We can agree to these family affairs, just ask for some dowry, if the Emperor is not willing to do so, forget it." ”

When the messenger asked him what the dowry was, Vimala said, "I want three dowries, the first is all the ripe peaches in the peach orchard, and 10,000 elixirs from Laojun, and all the fruits and food in the peach festival, but no wine (Shura Tao does not drink alcohol)." ”

The messenger retreated in panic and told the Emperor. A few days later, the Emperor of Heaven sent a messenger to inform him of the conditions of the dowry, asking the King of Shura to send the woman to the Heavenly Realm and deliver the dowry at the Heavenly Gate.

Vimala said to his father, King Shura, "Although the Emperor of Heaven has agreed, there may be fraud in this, and I will personally take the Shura heavy army to escort him." ”

King Shura agreed. Vimala led the Shura soldiers to escort the Shura princess Roslo to the gate of heaven, and the emperor of heaven had already brought all the gods to greet her, and the emperor saw Vimala and said, "I thought I would prepare the gift, please send the princess forward." ”

The Emperor of Heaven did not know that Vima had a golden eye and six ears of hearing, and he had already heard the lie of the Emperor of Heaven. Vimalia shouted: "You are the Emperor of Heaven and actually deceived us and others, I don't know what kind of Tao you practiced in front of the Buddha, what Buddha you recited!" ”

The Emperor of Heaven sneered at Vimazi: "You, a villain who does not respect the Buddha, dare to say the name of the Buddha in your mouth? I will now set up millions of heavenly soldiers, and I will immediately crush you to pieces! ”

As soon as he finished speaking, he killed millions of heavenly soldiers and fought with the Shura soldiers, but unfortunately Shura was defeated by the heavenly soldiers, and the princess Rosero was snatched away by the Emperor of Heaven, and Vima was defeated and fled back to the Shura realm.

Poya was furious, swore to avenge the ugliness of the woman, and formed an army with Vimala to enter the heavenly realm.

According to the scriptures, this melee lasted for decades, and finally the heavenly soldiers were defeated, and Poya rescued her own daughter, and Vimozhi carried a knife into the heavenly palace, wanting to kill the emperor. At this time, the Emperor remembered that the Buddha had said that if there was a great disaster, as long as he recited the Prajna jackfruit mantra, he would be able to crack the Shura soldiers. Sure enough, as soon as the spell was held, four big knife wheels suddenly flew out of the air, almost cutting off all the soldiers of the Asura King, and the Shura King called Vimala to flee quickly, Vimala stood and did not move, pointing at the Emperor of Heaven and saying: "Emperor of Heaven, sooner or later, I will kill you here one day and take your position as Emperor of Heaven." He pointed to heaven and said, "Shakyamuni, you protect the robbers and oppress the weak, how can you call the name of the Buddha!" ”

In other words, Vimalia was cut into two ends by the knife wheel and was killed instantly.

Hungry Ghost Dao, one of the six paths. According to the end of the eighth volume of the Mahayana Chapter, the so-called hungry ghosts are often hungry, so they are called hungry; Fear and fear, so it is called a ghost. This ghost is weak and ugly, and everyone who sees it is afraid, or lives at the bottom of the sea, or near the mountains and forests, and has little happiness and more suffering, and lives a long life. In the past, he was greedy and deceived others, and because of this, he fell into the way of hungry ghosts.

Shura Vimala, because of the killing of the gods of the Heavenly Dao, insulting the Buddha, and fell into the path of evil ghosts, according to the reincarnation should be with the reincarnation of the sixth life in this way.

In the first life, he was a pot-bellied ghost, with a belly as big as a mountain, and he ate day and night without being full.

In the second life, he is a needle-swallowing ghost, his mouth is like a needle hole, and his food is difficult to swallow.

The third life is a mouth flame ghost, spitting flames from his mouth, and his food turns into ashes when it reaches his mouth.

In the fourth life, he is a thin-footed ghost, whose limbs are as thin as tree branches, and it is difficult to support the weight of his body, and he cannot come forward when he sees food.

In the fifth life, when the food was placed in front of him, it immediately turned into feces and thick urine, and it was inedible.

In the sixth life, he was a belly fire ghost, and when the food entered the belly, it immediately burned into a flame, and the pain was unbearable.

We, the monkeys of the previous life, the Shura prince Vimala in the previous life, remember all the spiritual six-eared monkeys in the previous life, suffering in this hungry ghost path, and the hungry ghosts of the sixth life, only kept cursing Shakyamuni in their mouths, and this single thought will continue forever.

Hell Dao, one of the six realms. Hell, Sanskrit mud, translated as a tool of suffering, is a tool for creating evil beings, a tool for suffering, and because it lives underground, it is called hell.

The monkey was reincarnated in the sixth life of the hungry ghost path, and he never woke up, and he was bent on insulting the Buddha, and he should have fallen into the hell path and suffered for a thousand years according to the reincarnation.

The mountain of ice blades, the maggots of boiling, the cramps of peeling, the frying and the burning of all kinds of pains cannot be sued.

The monkey suffered in it for a thousand years without being able to speak, and there was no longer any words in his mouth. I don't know what I had in mind.

The monkey's karma has disappeared and he has returned to the animal path as a monkey. The place where he was born is Lingtai Fangcun Mountain. There is a three-star cave in the mountain, and there is a god in the cave, named Su Bodhi Patriarch. Because the monkey was born with wisdom, he worshiped under the Subodhi Sect and became a disciple who burned the fire. Patriarch Nasu Bodhi is different from ordinary immortals, he must have extremely high talent in ******, but he doesn't care about poor quality. Of course, the patriarch knew his past life and knew that he had extraordinary talents, so he wanted to pass on his world-beating skills and the secret of immortality. The monkey said, "Life is bitter, death is not bitter, why should you be afraid of suffering and survive." What's the use of wanting to live forever, I hope that life is death at all times, death and resurrection, and see all the calamities of life and death, to see if it is at your mercy or I at your mercy. If the patriarch can teach me the ability to jump out of this cycle, he will teach me, and if not, I will not be very interested. ”

The patriarch said to the monkey, "If you want to get out of this cycle, why don't you go to the Venerable Shakyamuni to study Buddhism?" ”

The monkey said, "I don't think his Dharma is interesting." ”

The patriarch said, "Then what do you want?" ”

The monkey said, "I can't do anything, the Buddha is the biggest in this world universe, I can't do anything with him, what can I do?" ”

The patriarch said, "How do you know that the Buddha is the greatest?" ”

The monkey said, "He reincarnated you as a hungry ghost, you are a hungry ghost, and if he reincarnated you into hell, you will go to hell, how is he not the greatest?" ”

The patriarch said: "This statement is fallacious, reincarnation into the evil path is a fixed number of reincarnation, not the manipulation of the Buddha. You can only blame yourself for those. ”

The monkey said, "I can't blame others or myself, I only blame the Buddha in the world, so I have no place to reason." ”

The patriarch said, "How come there is no place to reason? ”

The monkey said, "The Buddha is omniscient and omnipotent, who can have any reason." ”

The patriarch said, "You are wrong, the Buddha is not omniscient and omnipotent. ”

The monkey was shocked, and Gongsu said, "Please teach the patriarch!" ”

The patriarch said, "If you and I speak today, he will not know, and what you and I are doing today is not something he can control." I have a method here that can enable you to jump out of the six realms of samsara and not be bound by karma, are you willing to learn it? ”

The monkey was overjoyed, and bowed and said, "May the patriarch teach you." ”

The patriarch said, "I will only pass on this secret method to you today, don't blame me for causing trouble in the future, and don't say that I taught you." ”

The monkey kowtowed again and again, listening carefully to the master's wonderful method.

If you want to know what the patriarch passed on to the monkeys, please see the next breakdown.

The monkey learned the wonderful method from the Bodhi Patriarch, and he was very happy and wandered around the world. When the southern Zhanbu Continent was flooding, there was a saint named Dayu, who was ordered by Emperor Shun to control the floods, and the monkey went to help. Dayu has a wishful iron rod, can measure the depth of the world's rivers, lakes and oceans, every time you travel must be taken with you, the monkey is only responsible for Dayu to take the iron rod, every time you measure, the monkey dives to the bottom of the water to see if the iron rod is in the end.

Dayu once asked the monkey, you can dive to the bottom of the water every time, but the water is deep, aren't you afraid of being drowned?

The monkey said, "It's okay, it's okay, I have a secret method." Dayu didn't reason with him.

After the flood was subdued, Dayu inserted the iron rod into the East China Sea, called Dinghaishen needle iron.

The monkey wandered around again, and one day came to Dongsheng Shenzhou, and there is a country overseas, called Aolai Country. The country is close to the sea, and there is a famous mountain in the sea, which is called Huaguo Mountain. At the top of that mountain, there was a fairy stone.

According to the secret mantra given by the Patriarch Subodhi, the monkey came to this stone, lay down on his back, slept for a while, then got up and left with a smile, shouting the wonderful law in his mouth.

The monkey wandered around again, and one day he came to Xiniuhezhou, where a volcano was erupting, and everyone was running around, but the monkey went straight to the mountain pass. They told him to stop, but he didn't listen. After a long time, someone saw the monkey turn back from the mountain pass, and his buttocks were already red. Everyone laughed, but the monkey just ignored it and walked away.

Finally, the monkey came to Beiju Luzhou. There is a strange mountain there, the mountain is high into the clouds, and the wind on the top of the mountain does not stop all the year round, and people cannot stand. The monkey climbed to the top of the mountain and shouted three times to the sky, "Raw! Die! Empty! Then the form vanished into the wind.

Since then, the world has said that the monkey has died, and his soul is gone, and there is no trace of him.

I don't know how many lifetimes have passed, and there is a Lingming stone monkey in the stone of Dongsheng Shenzhou. In the volcano of Xiniu Hezhou, there is a red jiri horse monkey, Xiao Yin and Yang, knows people, is good at entering and exiting, and avoids death and prolongs life. On the top of the wind mountain in Beiju Luzhou, a gibbon monkey is turned into a gibbon in the wind, taking the sun and the moon, shrinking thousands of mountains, distinguishing the blame, and rubbing the world. There is a six-eared macaque in the sea water of the East China Sea in Nanzhan Buzhou, who is good at listening to sounds, can perceive reason, know before and after, and everything is clear.

This is the wonderful method that the Bodhi Patriarch secretly taught the monkey to jump out of samsara and cut off cause and effect. This wonderful method is very mysterious, and it is difficult for mortals to grasp its profound meaning, and only those who have experienced all kinds of calamities and know the causes and conditions of the coming and going through the ages can grasp it. I would like to share with you the gist of it, so that you may have a glimpse of its general meaning.

The Buddha said that the six realms of reincarnation, the cycle of cause and effect, are fixed numbers, and if you want to transcend, there are two ways. One is to cultivate the Dharma of the Buddha, to cut off all afflictions, and to reincarnate without doing anything and without self. Another way is that reincarnation and cause and effect refer to all beings in the world, and sentient beings are life, and there is birth and death, so there is reincarnation. The non-living element, on the other hand, has no death and no reincarnation. Buddhism believes that the world is composed of four elements, and unlike the Chinese concept of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, Buddhism believes that the world is composed of water, fire, earth, and wind. These four elements make up everything in the world, living beings, and inanimate things. For example, water, fire, and terroir.

The Bodhi Patriarch secretly instructed the monkey to abandon his physical body and transform the spirit into the four elements, becoming the four monkeys who have knowledge but no life.

After the four monkeys obtained the magic method, they each found a place to go, claimed the king and hegemony on one side, and then went to the East China Sea to find the divine iron. If you ask, how can four people use only one divine iron? This reason is very simple, don't you know that the divine iron is called the Ruyi Golden Hoop Stick?

Later, these four monkeys went to the Bodhi Patriarch to learn their skills, and prepared to go to the heavenly realm to avenge the revenge of their previous lives.

This monkey breaks cause and effect, jumps out of samsara, and wants to disturb the heavens and the earth. Of course the Buddha knew. The two Venerables Ah Da, Ka Ye and the World-Honored One said, "Now that monkey is going to disturb the heavens and the earth, what can I do? ”

The Buddha smiled and replied: "Heaven can still forgive sin, but I can't live if I do sin, I have my own reason, just let him go." ”

In the Journey to the West, only the matter of Wukong is recorded, in fact, it is the four monkeys, sometimes combined into one, sometimes divided into four bodies, eating peaches, making peach feasts, stealing Lao Jundan, breaking the heavenly palace, capturing the Jade Emperor, and about to kill the Jade Emperor, the Jade Emperor recited the jackfruit mantra, and the golden body of the Buddha Shakyamuni Venerable appeared in the air.

The Buddha said, "Monkey, today you have made enough trouble, collected your debts, and avenged your debts, right?" ”

The monkey said: "When I kill this Jade Emperor, even if I take revenge, in the future, you will sit on your Buddha in your Western Heavenly Blissful Realm, and I will sit on my Heavenly Emperor in my free heaven, you and I have nothing to do with each other, I don't believe in your reasoning, and you don't care about my freedom." ”

The Buddha said, "Monkey, you don't believe me, I don't reason with you, but how can I let you disturb the world and kill the Emperor?" ”

The monkey said, "Now that I have jumped out of the cycle of samsara, and I am not bound by cause and effect, what can you do with me?" ”

The Buddha said, "Monkey, although you have jumped out of the cycle of samsara, are not bound by cause and effect, and can do whatever you want without retribution, have you ever thought that what little bit of your ability can escape from my palm?" ”

When the monkey thought about it, he was taken aback, it turned out that no matter how powerful the monkey was, he could not defeat the Buddha's magical powers, and even if there was no karma, there was still a way to punish him. Naturally, he is no match for Rulai. Although there is no life and no death, if you are caught by Rulai, you will not be able to get out for trillions of years, and you will not be as painful as in hell.

Thinking of this, the monkey fled, and a golden light flew towards the sky. The Buddha only stretched out his palm, grabbed the monkey in his hand, and with a flip of his palm, pressed the monkey under the Five Elements Mountain. (There is a mistake in the Journey to the West here, it is actually a mountain of four elements, which suppressed four monkeys, and the Chinese will think that there are five elements, so it is called the Five Elements Mountain) The Buddha posted a post on the top of the mountain, writing "Ama Mani Horn Mi Yin", pressing the monkey firmly.

The monkey was crushed at the foot of the mountain and shouted to the sky: "If you press me here today, even if it is a thousand years or ten thousand years, I will not obey you, what can you do to me?" I will never believe your heresy, and what can you do to me, even if you deceive sentient beings, you just can't deceive me. One day, if you make me believe you from the heart, I will obey you. ”

The Buddha said in the air, "You monkey has entered the devil's heart, and I will save you from the sea of suffering and let you take refuge in my true path." ”

The monkey said, "I see what means you have to convince me of your heresy." ”

The Buddha said: "Monkey, you and I are deceased, before the eternal eons of eternity, we listened to the sermon together before the Buddha lit the lamp in the previous life, and at that time you did not believe in cause and effect, did not believe in reincarnation, and the Buddha who lit the lamp sent you to remember the ability of the previous life." Do you know that since the Buddha can give you the ability to 'remember', the Buddha can also take away the ability to remember? In order to relieve your suffering, I will take away all the memories of your past lives, as well as the original intention of disturbing the heavens and the earth, and only leave you with repentance for all the mistakes you have committed in this life. You repent here, and in 500 years, help me to achieve great things. Then you will also be able to attain the right fruits of Buddhahood. ”

The monkey yelled, "I don't want to be your bullshit, you despicable ......"

Before he finished speaking, a golden light from the Buddha's finger shot on the top of the monkey's head, and the monkey immediately forgot all the grievances in his previous life, and also forgot his four doppelgangers, only remembering that he was free to be the monkey king and disturbed the things of heaven and earth.

Five hundred years later, Wukong was able to get out at the foot of the mountain, and the Tang monk learned scriptures from the west, and took refuge in my Buddha wholeheartedly, killing demons and monsters along the way, killing countless monsters, including a red jiri horse monkey, a gibbon monkey, and a six-eared macaque. The monkey arrives at Lingshan and achieves positive results.
