Xiongguan Mandao is really like iron. The right way in the world is the vicissitudes of life. There will be times when the wind and waves will be long.
- Quoted in "Speech at the Visit to the Exhibition of 'Road to Revival'", etc
■Interpretation
On November 29, 2012, when General Secretary Xi Jinping, who had just taken office, visited the "Road to Rejuvenation" exhibition at the National Museum, he used these three lines of poetry to describe the magnificent journey of the Chinese nation's unswerving pursuit of the "Chinese dream". In modern times, the Chinese nation has suffered so much and sacrificed so much that it has sacrificed that it is rare in the history of the world. Since the reform and opening up, we have continued to explore hard and finally found the right path to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, which is precisely "the right way in the world is the vicissitudes of life". Now, we are closer to the goal of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation than at any other time in history, and we are more confident and capable of achieving this goal than at any other time in history. The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has shown bright prospects. These three heroic verses express our incomparably strong belief and incomparably firm confidence in pursuing the "Chinese Dream". "There is still a long way to go to turn the blueprint into reality, and it will take us a long and hard time." All those who are committed to the great cause of the nation should be spurred by the words of the general secretary.

The west wind is strong, and the geese in the sky are called frost and morning moon.
Frost and early moon, the sound of horses' hooves is broken, and the sound of trumpets is swallowed.
Xiongguan Mandao is really like iron, and now it is stepping forward from the beginning.
From the beginning, the mountains are like the sea, and the remnant sun is like blood.
——Mao Zedong "Remembering Qin'e and Loushanguan"
■Definition
"Remembering Qin'e, Loushan Pass" was created in February 1935 after Comrade Mao Zedong commanded the Central Red Army to conquer Loushan Pass during the Long March.
"The west wind is strong, and the geese in the sky call the frost and morning moon", pointing out the time and scenery of the battle, creating a magnificent lyrical atmosphere. "The sound of horses' hooves and the sound of trumpets" vividly depicts the actions of the Red Army. Xia Yan begins with "Xiongguan Mandao is really like iron, and now we are stepping forward from the beginning", although the tone is relatively soothing, but the three words "really like iron" highlight the hardships of the Red Army in breaking through the pass and seizing the pass. Through the hardness and heaviness of the object of "iron", the hardships of seizing Xiongguan are artistically concretized and visualized. At the same time, the word "Mandao" reveals the heroic feelings of contempt for hardships. Mandao: Don't say, don't talk. "Xiongguan Mandao is as true as iron, and now we are stepping forward from the beginning", which not only expresses the people's confidence in victory, but also shows contempt and contempt for difficulties.

Zhongshan is pale and yellow in wind and rain, and millions of heroes have crossed the river.
The tiger is better than the past, and the world is turned upside down and generous.
It is advisable to chase the poor bravely, and not to sell the name of the overlord.
If there is love in the sky, the sky is also old, and the right way in the world is the vicissitudes of life.
——Mao Zedong, "Seven Laws: The People's Liberation Army Occupies Nanjing"
■Definition
On April 21, 1949, the People's Liberation Army's million-strong army crossed the Yangtze River, and on April 23, it conquered Nanjing, the center of the Kuomintang's 22-year rule. Comrade Mao Zedong was extremely excited when he learned the news at the Shuangqing Villa in Xiangshan, a western suburb of Beiping, and improvised a poem. At that time, the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China sent this poem to the front line, giving great encouragement to the commanders and fighters of the whole army in the battle.
The first four lines of the poem are lyrical, and the million-strong army broke through the "impregnable" "Yangtze River Natural Danger" and "Thousand Miles of River Defense" with the momentum of destroying the withering and decaying, and the Kuomintang rule was declared extinct, and a new chapter in Chinese history was about to begin. The last four sentences of the discussion literalize the political strategic decision-making, which contains profound philosophical ideas and makes people suddenly enlightened. The poem uses allusions, and the artistic conception is far-reaching. Xiang Yu opposed Qin and shocked the sea, but he missed several good opportunities and finally led to the defeat of the army. This is a well-known historical fact, but once it is transformed by Comrade Mao Zedong, it takes on a completely new significance. The tail couplet "If there is love in the sky, the sky will be old, and the right way in the world is the vicissitudes of life", which contains Comrade Mao Zedong's sighs and thoughts on history. The above sentence borrows from Li He's "Golden and Bronze Immortal Song of the Han Dynasty" in the Tang Dynasty. Heaven is a natural thing, but witnessing historical changes for a long time will also have a certain emotional response to the earth-shaking changes in human society. The next sentence expresses infinite emotion about the unstoppable vicissitudes of life that are moving the wheel of history. Just as Comrade Mao Zedong said in his "Speech at the Preparatory Meeting of the New Political Consultative Conference": "Like the sun rising in the east, China will shine on the earth with its own glorious light, quickly wash away the muddy waters left by the reactionary government, heal the wounds of war, and build a brand-new, strong, and prosperous people's republic worthy of the name." ”

The gold bottle sake bucket is ten thousand, and the jade plate is shy and ten thousand dollars.
I couldn't eat when I stopped throwing my cup, and I was at a loss when I drew my sword and looked around.
If you want to cross the Yellow River and ice congestion river, you will climb the snow-filled mountains of Taihang.
Idle fishing on the blue river, suddenly take a boat to dream of the sun.
It's hard to walk! It's hard to walk! Many divergent roads, where are you now?
There will be times when the wind and waves will be long, and the clouds will sail into the sea.
——(Tang) Li Bai "Difficult to Walk"
■Definition
Li Bai's "Difficult to Walk" has a total of three songs, and this is the first one. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), Li Bai was edicted to enter Beijing and served as a Hanlin worshipper. Later, due to the slander and exclusion of the ministers, he was "given money back". This song "Difficult to Walk" was composed by Li Bai when he left Chang'an.
"The golden bottle of sake is ten thousand, and the jade plate is shy and ten thousand dollars", the beginning of the poem, makes people feel that this is a joyful banquet. Shy: Same as "gluttony", delicious food. Straight: through "value", value. Immediately afterwards, "I couldn't eat when I stopped throwing the cup, I drew my sword and looked around at a loss", and my emotions took a sharp turn. "If you want to cross the Yellow River, you will climb the snow-covered mountains. Idle fishing on the blue river, suddenly take a boat to dream of the sun. "Just sighed at the "Ice Plug River" and "Snow Full Mountain", and suddenly traveled through thousands of years, and saw Jiang Taigong fishing to meet King Wen of Zhou, Yi Yin was reused by King Shang with a humble body. The poet's psychological disappointment and hope, loss and search, are rapidly altered. "It's hard to walk! It's hard to walk! Many divergent roads, where are you now? The rhythm of the four sentences is tight and jumpy, forcing to convey the complex psychology of the poet who is in a position to retreat and want to continue to explore and pursue. At the end of the two sentences, the realm suddenly opened, and he sang a high and optimistic tune: "There will be a time when the wind and waves will be long, and the clouds will sail into the sea." The poet believes that despite the obstacles ahead, one day he will "ride the long wind and break through the waves", hang up the cloud sails, cross the sea, and reach the other side of the ideal.
