This poem is the work of the Southern Song Dynasty poet Yang Wanli in the post of deputy envoy of Jiankang Jiangdong. When the poet passed through Songyuan in southern Anhui, he saw that the mountains were surrounded and suddenly realized, so he wrote this philosophical poem.

It is often said that it is easy to descend a mountain but difficult to go up, but they do not know that there are countless mountains to climb on the way down. With the help of scenery descriptions and vivid metaphors, the poet uses mountain roads to convey profound philosophies, telling people that life in the world is to constantly struggle against all kinds of difficulties, and no matter good times or bad, we should remain vigilant and not slack off.
