Chapter 26 A young woman turned out to be a thief
There are few pedestrians on the platform.
On the carriage, the words "Hanzhong-Beijing West" on the sign of the train running section are very eye-catching.
A year ago, I bid farewell to Ye Qian here. Now, Mengjie is here to see me off again.
In my heart, there are mixed feelings.
"It's so annoying," I said indignantly, holding the hard-seat ticket from Hanzhong to Beijing West Railway Station in one hand and Mengjie's soft hand in the other, "They don't sell me sleepers, I have to add money!" β
"It's no secret that their railway employees resell tickets!" Meng Jie sighed softly.
"Then I'll change the hard seat to a sleeper when I get in the car!" I whispered to Mengjie.
"Okay!" Meng Jie said with tears in her eyes, "Poor family Fulu, don't wronged yourself outside!" β
"Don't worry!" I looked at Mengjie's clear and bright eyes affectionately and said, "Beijing is big, and the sky is full of clouds of opportunity!" β
"Where there are many clouds, there is also a lot of rain," Meng Jie said with a sad face, "If you are drenched in the rain there, then come back!" Come back, at least I still have a regular job and a fixed place to live! β
"I didn't want to come back when I went," I said, looking at the shiny railroad tracks stretching into the distance, "and I have no way back!" β
"Yes," Meng Jie said quietly, "then let's go ahead!" β
"When I have a firm foothold in Beijing, I will definitely take you over and let you see our Tian'an in Beijing. Door! Before I got on the train, under the complicated gaze of the beautiful female conductor, I kissed Mengjie's moist lips that were about to be thousands of miles apart again, hugged Mengjie's soft and warm measurements that were about to fall into the hands of others, and then jumped into the northbound train with an arrow.
There was a sour look in my eyes.
I didn't want Mengjie to see the tears that were about to burst out of my eyes.
On the platform, Mengjie had already burst into tears.
The train is moving.
The sound of wheels hitting the rails was heard clearly:
"Bang dang! Bang dang! Bang dang ......"
The train heads all the way north.
Distraught, I made my way to the hard-seated car.
I took the little luggage I had with me and headed for car 8, and I wanted to change the hard seat to a sleeper as soon as possible.
That's when my eyes lit up.
A young girl with long hair with clear eyebrows was sitting on a hard seat on the side of the aisle, watching with interest the passengers coming and going in front of her.
I was so excited that I decided not to change my sleeper ticket first.
"Beauty," I asked, smiling, "do you have anyone here?" β
The girl looked at me with sharp eyes, and did not nod or shake her head.
"You're defaulting to no one," I said with a smile as I sat down by the window across from the girl, "that's a great location!" β
The girl smiled.
Smiling, I put the plastic bag of beer I was carrying on the small table, opened a can of beer, and began to drink while looking out the car window.
"What are you doing in Beijing?" The girl suddenly asked with interest.
"Find a girlfriend!" I laughed.
"And what do you do?"
"Written!"
"Does writing make money?"
"It's okay, the key is that I'm talented, and it's hard to make money or not!"
The girl smiled and looked at me thoughtfully.
I smiled silently.
Little by little, time is passing.
The sky is getting darker and darker.
"Why don't I go and make up two sleepers?" I said tentatively to the girl.
"Will you invite me?" The girl smiled.
"Please," I said, smiling, "take your luggage and we'll go to car 8 for a sleeper ticket!" β
The girl smiled and nodded.
I happily took the girl to the ticket adjustment desk in car 8.
"Bring me the ID card," I said to the girl, "and you'll need it for a sleeper!" β
The girl smiled and pulled out her ID.
"Miaohan!" I laughed and said, "It's a nice name, so I'll call you Miao Han from the beginning!" β
"Yes!" Miao Han smiled.
I smiled.
I made up two hard sleepers with great difficulty.
"You're really willing to spend money to hire me!" Miao Han said in surprise, "I thought you were teasing me!" β
"Sincerely," I said with a grin, "I treat money like dung!" β
"Why did you invite me?" Miao Han asked with a smile.
"It's been a long journey," I smiled, "just right, let's have a chat and pass the lonely time of the journey!" β
Miao Han smiled.
I smiled.
We came to the sleeper car together.
"Thank you!" Miao Han sat on the sleeper and said to me, "What do you want to talk about?" β
"How do you look at my article?" As I spoke, I took out a notebook from my bag and said to Miaohan, "This is my 'Tofu Block' notebook, and all the pure literary works I published in newspapers and magazines are pasted on it!" β
"I'll see!" Miao Han said as she took the notebook I handed her with great interest and began to flip through it.
I smiled silently, drunk and hazy.
"You've published so many articles!" Miao Han sighed.
"How's it being written?" I tentatively asked, "Do you think I can make a world in Beijing with it?" β
"You take this to Beijing," Miao Han said with a smile, "There is a great possibility of starvation!" β
"The vicissitudes of righteousness," I said in a deep voice, "even if you starve to death!" β
Miao Han smiled, looked down and looked at my book of "Tofu Cubes" again.
I smiled and sipped my beer.
The train heads all the way north.
Along the way, I lost count of how many words I spoke to Myohan and how many beers I drank.
In the evening of the next day, the train slowly entered Beijing West Railway Station with a crisp whistle.
The train came to a standstill.
I couldn't wait to get off the train, and Miao Han followed behind me hesitantly.
A gust of wind blew through the sand.
"Why is it so windy here?" I rubbed my eyes, which were a little astringent and painful, and said to Miaohan.
"How do I know," Miao Han smiled, "ask the weather station!" β
"I'm finally in Beijing," I said happily to Miaohan, "I'm going to find my girlfriend!" β
Miao Han smiled.
I smiled slightly, and walked out of Beijing West Railway Station in excitement and confusion.
Although there was wind and sand, I saw the four big characters "Beijing West Railway Station" hanging on the waiting building at first glance at the moment I just got out of the station.
Beijing West Railway Station, which is an extremely complex place, accommodates people from far and wide. They have different thoughts, dreams, cheers or cautiously flock here like a tide, looking for the life, dreams, and even love they want, even if the bad sand weather can't stop them from coming and going.
"Hello, Beijing!" I looked at the four big characters of Beijing West Railway Station and muttered to myself, "Also, Ye Qian, you are good!" β
While thinking about Ye Qian, I dialed her phone in the public telephone hall.
"I'm really in Beijing!" I said happily to Ye Qian.
"Why didn't you call me before you got in the car?" Ye Qian asked curiously.
"I want to surprise you!" I laughed.
"Then why don't you call me on your phone?" Ye Qian asked again.
"When I got in the car, I found that there was no power!" I explained.
"I'm sure," Ye Qian said seriously, "you've definitely drunk too much!" β
"Yes," I said in all seriousness, "and drunk! Wake up now, though! β
"It's good to wake up," Ye Qian said hurriedly, "I still have urgent matters now, and I can't pick you up!" Also, I'm living with a few female colleagues right now, so I definitely can't provide you with accommodation! You can find a random place to live first, and I'll look for you tomorrow!" β
"Okay!" I said with a little disappointment, "You're busy, I won't bother you!" β
I hung up the phone as I spoke.
I thought that Ye Qian would definitely come to pick me up, but I was wrong.
"Why didn't your girlfriend pick you up?" Miao Han's voice came from behind her.
"Maybe busy!" I said disheartened, turning around and onto the overpass.
On the overpass, people come and go, and they are in a hurry.
All around me, a cluster of gray-toned buildings formed an uncontrollable congestion throughout the station.
Beijing West Railway Station, which is Asia's largest modern railway passenger center. On the square, many outsiders waiting for the bus crowded together, their eyes wide open like herds of cattle and sheep preparing to migrate, and that kind of eyes were frightened, panicked, confused, and numb. Even in such bad weather, they did not give up their persistent waiting, eager to see the thin or fat woman's head shining out of the small window of the ticket office in the scattered and unformed procession.
Beijing West Railway Station is brewing too much hope in this way, just as it has put an end to too much hope.
I was lonely and helpless leaning against the railing of the overpass.
When I raised my head and saw the four big words "Beijing West Railway Station" hanging high above the owner of the car again, I also felt a slight tremor on the overpass, which made me feel a sense of insecurity. The overpass is such a place where it is easy to lose your center of gravity and sense of security. Just like Beijing West Railway Station, it is easy to make people feel small, as small as if they can be blown away by the lightest and softest wind at any time.
"What are you going to do?" Miao Han asked me softly.
"Let's find a place to stay first!" I smiled wryly.
"I know a place," Miao Han pondered, "just over there in Dashilar, a private hostel, where a man and a woman are allowed to live together!" β
"It can't be a black shop, right?" I asked with a blank face.
"If you believe me, go," Miao Han said with a smile, "If you don't believe me, pull it down!" β
"Let's go!" I said helplessly, "This is the first time I've come to Beijing, and my eyes are black!" β
Miao Han smiled.
We came outside the station and got into a taxi.
Soon, the taxi came to the door of the hostel that Miao Han had said.
The hostel is not big, but it looks quite formal.
What's more, hostels allow a man and a woman to open a double room.
A night of lingering sorrow.
When I woke up, I was shocked.
In the room, all my luggage was gone.
I hurriedly fumbled in my pocket, and my phone and wallet were gone.
"Oops! Damn! I exclaimed, looking around, "What is this going to do?" β
Just then, I found a note on the table that read-
Find me next to Tianan/Gate Arrow Tower!
I hurried out the door.
The wind whistled in my ears.
Sweating profusely, I rushed to the arrow tower and found Miao Han looking at me with a smile on her face.
"It's all here," Miao Han smiled, "It's too careless!" β
"I'm scared to death," I said, panting, "I'm going to lose these things, and I can't buy them with any money!" β
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked Miaohan in confusion.
"A thief," Miao Han laughed, "do you believe it?" β
"What are you doing in Beijing?" I asked, still wondering.
"It's a secret," Miao Han smiled, "I won't tell you!" β
"Can you leave a contact information?" I asked tentatively.
"Just leave your contact information to me," Miao Han said seriously, "I'll contact you when I need you!" β
I carefully wrote down my mobile phone number to Miao Han.
Miao Han smiled.
"Call me when you're free!" I smiled and said to Miaohan.
"Yes," Miao Han said softly, "let's hang out here together!" After shopping, you go yours, I'll go mine! β
"Where are you going?" I asked seriously.
"I haven't thought about it yet!" Miao Han said thoughtfully.
"Have you ever thought about developing in Beijing?" I asked tentatively.
"It's not easy to get hold of Beijing," Miao Han said with a smile, "and many of my friends have become meat buns and dogs in Beijingβthere is no return!" β
"Then you don't want to change your lifestyle?" I asked with mixed feelings.
"I've thought about it, but I've never thought about it," Miao Han sighed lightly, "There are some roads that are difficult to turn back once you embark on them, just like if you embark on the road of writing, can you still turn back?" β
"Can't!" I say with absolute certainty.
Miao Han smiled slightly, raised her head and looked thoughtfully at the Tianan/Gate Tower.
I looked around the square with mixed feelings.
The square is big and spacious.
To the west of the square is the Great Hall of the People where the National People's Congress is located; To the east of the square is the famous Museum of the Chinese Revolution and the Museum of Chinese History; In the center of the square, there stands the Monument to the People's Heroes; To the south of the monument is the memorial hall of Chairman Mao, a great man; To the north of the square, across Chang'an Avenue is the magnificent Tianan/Gate Tower. It was on October 1, 1949 that Mao Zedong pressed the button on this city tower and raised the first national flag of New China.
"This is where I want to see it!" I whispered to Miaohan.
"Me too!" Miao Han said with a serious face.
"I don't know how many footprints I can leave in Beijing," I said, thinking, "but I'll try my best!" β
"Hope you succeed!" Miao Han said with a smile.
"I also hope you'll be caught by the police sooner rather than later," I said with a playful laugh, "and maybe you'll turn back!" β
Just then, my phone rang.
I saw that it was Ye Qian's call.
"Where are you?" Ye Qian asked softly.
"It's in Tianan/Gate Square!" I said happily.
"Okay!" Ye Qian smiled, "You just wait for me at the monument, I'll go over to find you right away!" β
I put down my phone, excited and cheering.
"Hello, Beijing!" I shouted happily, "Ye Qian, hello! β
Miao Han smiled silently.
"My girlfriend is coming," I reluctantly said to Miaohan, "I'm leaving!" β
"Okay!" Miao Han said and snuggled up tenderly.
I hugged Miaohan's soft body tightly and kissed her deeply.
"Goodbye!" I waved my hand to Miaohan and turned to leave.
"Wait!" Miao Han said and raised the phone in his hand to me, "Be careful next time, be beautiful!" β
"Oops! Damn! I exclaimed and felt in my pocket, "When did you take it?" β
"When you react," Miao Han said with a smile, "see you this time!" β
"I'll have to check it again," I began to look through my luggage in a serious manner, "the 'Tofu Block' notebook is there, the wallet is there, and the ID card and bank card are also ...... It's all there! β
I looked at Miao Han with mixed feelings, sighed softly, and shook my head.
Miao Han smiled and walked towards the bus stop alone with her suitcase.
"Don't forget my phone number," I shouted at Miaohan's distant back, "Call me if there's something!" β
"I haven't forgotten!" Miao Han turned around and waved at me as she spoke, "Goodbye! β
"Goodbye!" I reluctantly waved my hand at Miaohan.
Miao Han is gone, and she never left her mobile phone number.
My heart was at a loss.
