Chapter 226: Your mother and I can't get along
I moved to a new house without stopping.
To be exact, I just moved a few large boxes of books and some valuables to the new house, leaving the rest with the landlord.
I put several large boxes of books in the living room, took a half-dry and half-wet towel to wipe the dust on them, and then shook them again, ready to put them in the bookcase that Ye Qian had vacated for me.
"There's so much ash on it, you should go down to the hallway and clean it up!" The old lady finally spoke after looking at me for a long time.
"Okay!" I said as I prepared to carry a box to the door.
"Just wipe it here," Ye Qian hurriedly said, "How cold it is to clean up at the door!" ”
"Listen to yours or to mine?" The old lady said to Ye Qian with a displeased face.
"I'd better go down the hallway!" I said to Ye Qian, "There is a lot of dust on the book!" ”
Ye Qian stopped talking.
She silently helped me carry several large boxes of books down the hallway, and brought me a small stool.
"Why do some books have money in them?" Ye Qian asked in wonder while shaking the book.
"Do you know Kaoru Yamauchi?" I asked as I wiped my book.
"Pioneer of New Japanese Drama!" Ye Qian said softly.
"Yes," I said, smiling, "after he died, when his relatives and friends helped him sort through his collection, they found that many of them had money in them." It turned out that this was the private money that Mr. Koyamauchi Kaoru was hiding behind his wife's back. For this reason, his relatives and friends had to go through each book page by page, and as a result, they found a lot of money. His relatives and friends humorously said to their friends, 'There is a golden house in the book!' ’”
"The question is," Ye Qian pondered, "you don't need to hide your private money?" ”
"I just want to remind myself at all times," I said to Ye Qian with a smile, "It's good to open the book!" We can get money by reading and writing books, as well as wisdom and happiness that are more important than money. ”
"Knowledge is power!" Ye Qian smiled.
"Read more useful books," I said to Ye Qian seriously, "Books can give us wisdom and knowledge!" Books can give us strength and joy! ”
"You seem to have handled a lot of books when you moved here," Ye Qian said thoughtfully, "right?" ”
"That's right!" I affirmed, "Books I don't really like, or books that are no longer useful, I'll dispose of them all at the book stall!" ”
"Do you have money in there?" Ye Qian asked hesitantly.
"Oh my God!" It dawned on me, "I forgot about this!" ”
"Forget it!" Ye Qian smiled, "Just do good!" ”
"Yes," I said, smiling, "good deeds are good luck!" ”
Little by little, time passes.
It took more than two hours for me to wipe down all the books I had brought.
I stood up with a sore back, carried stacks of books to the study, and stacked them neatly in the bookcase.
"You should put the book in the size of a folio, it will look more comfortable!" The old lady said expressionlessly after staring at me for a long time.
"Okay!" I said and re-stacked the book.
At this point, I felt a little tired, so I got up and went to the balcony and pulled out a lighter and a cigarette. I clicked it twice, but the wind was strong, but it didn't light it.
In the living room, the old lady's exaggerated coughing voice was suddenly heard.
I put down my lighter with a stumbling suddenness.
"Open the balcony window when you smoke, so choking!" Ye Qian walked over at this time and said impatiently.
"I haven't lit it yet!" I said and let Ye Qian look at the unlit cigarette, "It's windy, it's not lit!" ”
Ye Qian sighed softly.
She looked at me silently, and I looked at her silently.
"What do you eat at night?" Ye Qian suddenly asked.
"I'll do whatever I want," I laughed, "what do you two want to eat?" ”
"What do you mean by casual?" Ye Qian shouted unhappily, "We all live together, we have to have an arrangement for dinner!" ”
"Then you arrange, okay!" I said to Ye Qian with a smile.
"Why don't you go out and eat some dumplings together!" Ye Qian suggested, "My mother likes to eat!" ”
"Okay!" I smiled reluctantly.
Ye Qian's face was expressionless.
The old lady was expressionless.
I guess it's worse to laugh than I cry.
