Volume 5 The Seal of the Kirin Chapter 6 Recruiting Rebellion

This Leshan Giant Buddha is located in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, at the confluence of the three rivers of Minjiang River, Qingyi River and Dadu River, and Leshan City across the river. The big Buddha is chiseled by the cliff of the river in the east bank of Lingyun Mountain, Qiluan Peak, and is called the stone statue of the great Maitreya of Lingyun Temple in Jiazhou, which is the sitting statue of the ancient Maitreya Buddha. The Leshan Giant Buddha is one of the artistic masterpieces in the cliff statues of the Tang Dynasty, and is the world's largest stone-carved Maitreya Buddha seated statue. The posture of the Big Buddha sitting with both hands on the knees is solemn, the drainage facilities are hidden, and the design is ingenious. The Buddha statue was excavated in the early Yuan Dynasty of Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, which was initiated by Haitong Zen Master to reduce the water potential and purify all sentient beings, and recruited manpower and material resources to repair and chisel. After the death of Haitong Zen Master, the project was forced to stop, and many years later, it was successively built by Jiannan Xichuan Jiedu envoy Zhang Qiu and Qiong and Wei Gao. Until the completion of the 19th year of Tang Dezongzhen, it lasted 90 years. It was praised by the poet as "the mountain is a Buddha, and the Buddha is a mountain". The Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is composed of Lingyun Mountain, Mahao Rock Tomb, Wuyou Mountain and other landscapes, with an area of about seven or eight hectares. In ancient times, there was a saying that "the upper dynasty is Emei, and the lower dynasty is Lingyun". Leshan Giant Buddha head and mountain Qi, foot on the river, hands on the knees, the Buddha posture is symmetrical, the posture is solemn, according to the mountain chiseled into the river dangerous sitting. With the modern comparison, this big Buddha is 71 meters high, the head is about 15 meters high, the head is 10 meters wide, the hair bun is 1,000 and 21 as much, the ears are seven meters long, the nose is about six meters long, a pair of eyebrows are six meters long, the mouth and eyes are about three meters long, the neck is three meters high, the shoulder width is 20 meters, the fingers are about eight meters long, from the knee to the instep of 28 meters, the instep is about nine meters wide, and the foot can sit around more than 100 people. On the left and right sides of the Buddha along the river cliffs, there are two stone carvings of the protector of the Dharma King with a height of more than five or six zhang long, which forms a pattern of one Buddha and two heavenly kings together with the Big Buddha. There are also hundreds of niches and thousands of stone carvings coexisting with the Heavenly King, as if they are gathered into a huge Buddhist stone carving art group. On the left side of the Big Buddha, along the "Cave Sky" down is the beginning of the Lingyun plank road excavated in modern times, with a total length of nearly half a mile. On the right is the construction and Buddha worship channel left when the Big Buddha was excavated in the Tang Dynasty - Jiuqu Plank Road. After the Buddha statue is carved, there are seven layers of pavilions to cover (one says nine or thirteen floors), when it is called "Big Buddha Pavilion", "Big Statue Pavilion"; Buddha Pavilion has been built and destroyed repeatedly, "Lingyun Pavilion" and "Tianning Pavilion" have been rebuilt in the Song Dynasty; "Baohong Pavilion" has been built in the Yuan Dynasty; "Buddha Shed" has been built in Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty and so on.

After dozens of miles of driving, Bingzhong and his entourage came to the foot of the Leshan Giant Buddha, and from a distance, the hair bun and the head were integrated, but in fact, they were embedded with stones one by one. The root of a single screw is exposed, there are obvious inlay cracks, and there is no mortar bonding. The surface of the snail is plastered in two layers, and the inner layer is lime, and the thickness is only one centimeter.

The Leshan Giant Buddha has a very ingenious drainage system, the ears and the back of the head of the Leshan Giant Buddha, with a set of ingeniously designed, hidden drainage system, which plays an important role in the protection of the Giant Buddha. so that the Buddha statue will not be eroded by rain. There is a poem: "The spring flows from the ancient Buddha's bun". In the head of the Buddha a total of eighteen layers of snails, the fourth, ninth, eighteenth layers each have a transverse drainage ditch, respectively with hammer ash masonry decoration, can not be seen from afar. There are also gutters in the collar and folds, and there is a dissolving gutter on the left side of the chest, which is connected to the gutter on the back of the right arm. Behind the ears against the cliff on the left and right sides of the cave are connected, there is a hole at both ends of the back of the chest, not dug through each other, these wonderful ditches and caves, constitute a very scientific drainage, moisture insulation and ventilation system, for thousands of years to protect the Buddha, prevent erosion and weathering, played an important role. The two holes that communicate on the left and right, because of the mountain spring, the inner cliff wall condenses the calcareous compound about two or three inches thick, and the cliff wall on the side of the Buddha body is still red sand original rock, and it is relatively dry. The two caves that are not open to the left and right, the hole wall is moist, the bottom is waterlogged, and the hole mouth is constantly flowing out, so there is also a water immersion zone on the chest of the Buddha. Obviously, this is due to the fact that the hole is not penetrated. I don't know why the builders didn't open it up back then. At the same time, it was found that there is a huge cliff tablet on the cliff on the right side of the big Buddha shrine cave, that is, the stone statue of the great Maitreya of Lingyun Temple in Jiazhou. Its inscription is probably also vague, I don't know what to do, but there is a small stone tablet next to it, but it records that the mountain stone can be dug up, the treasure can be stored, and the line is as if it is the beginning of the Buddha's excavation.

Just a few years before the fall of the Great Western Kingdom, Zhang Xianzhong sent Zhang Kewang, one of his most relied on sons, to lead troops into Guan County, and collected more than 300 stonemasons from the people to quarry stones in Qingfeng Mountain in Daguan Town. Qingfeng Mountain is a branch of Qingcheng Mountain, located in the territory of Daguan Town, Puzhao Temple is built at the foot of Qingfeng Mountain. Curiously, Zhang Kewang supervised the quarrying of hundreds of stonemasons, but did not transport them out of the mountain, nor did he build any buildings or pave roads in the mountains. Quarrying for half a year, but even these 300 stonemasons did not come out of the mountain and disappeared into Qingfeng Mountain. The most plausible explanation is that Zhang Kewang may have been secretly ordered by Zhang Xianzhong to secretly dig caves or build underground palaces in Qingfeng Mountain under the cover of quarrying, which was used to hide treasures, because according to the development of the current situation, the regime of the Great Western Kingdom was already in danger, and it was reasonable to transfer the treasures. Probably Zhang Xianzhong also expected that if the Qing army destroyed the Great Western Kingdom, it would be very difficult to restore it, and to make a long-term plan, it was necessary to bury the treasure for future needs. The quarried stone was either used to build a dungeon, or to build a cave, or it may be hidden in a col somewhere. And the quarrying craftsmen killed all of them. Although no one has solved the mystery of Zhang Xianzhong's quarrying in Qingfeng Mountain, there are several things that are linked to the hidden treasure. First, the stone material built by Puzhao Temple is rumored to be the power of the gods, and the mountain cracks and the stone comes out, just as Qian Zhangwen said in the Qing Dao Ranran Guangguan County. But it is very likely that the monks of Puzhao Temple stumbled upon the stone mined by Zhang Xianzhong and used it. Second, Puzhao Temple not only found stones, but also found part of the treasure hidden by Zhang Xianzhong. Third, Zhang Dingguo is Zhang Xianzhong's most loyal subordinate, in charge of grain and grass logistics, and is probably Zhang Xianzhong's finance and logistics minister. And Zhang Dingguo's subordinates, the Xinlian monk who later came to Puzhao Temple as the abbot, made a special trip to the Puzhao Temple that had not yet been repaired to create a foundation, and from he began Puzhao Temple to become brilliant step by step. There are two possibilities for the monk Xinlian to go to Puzhao Temple: one is that he went to Qingfeng Mountain to protect the treasure and protect the treasure of the Great West Kingdom on the order of Zhang Dingguo, and the other is that he knew the secret of the treasure and went to Qingfeng Mountain to wait for the opportunity to take the treasure. In ancient and modern times, Chinese and foreign countries have been constantly playing the game of treasure hiding and treasure hunting. Most of the treasure collectors are highly intelligent people, they not only have to choose the place to hide the treasure, but also to design the method of hiding the treasure, and the suspicious array, set up the mechanism, the true and the false, the false and the real, always have to go through thousands of thoughts, so that there is no trace, foolproof. Let the treasure hunter exhaust his life's energy, and he can't guess the ecstasy array laid by the treasure hunter. There are too many such examples, think that Zhang Xianzhong was killed that year, but his general Zhang Dingguo led his troops to fight in the north and south, supported a child of a clan in the Zhu Ming Dynasty, raised the banner of opposing the Qing Dynasty and restoring the Ming Dynasty, and carried out activities in the two lakes and two Guangxi for more than ten years, and finally under the encirclement and suppression of the Qing army, he left the Guisuo in Burma and insisted on the anti-Qing struggle. And at this moment, the monk Xinlian suddenly came to Qingfeng Mountain and rebuilt the abandoned ancestral hall surnamed Yin into Yinghua Temple. It is rumored that the monk Xinlian had studied in Chengdu Zhaojue Temple, and after a few years, he recognized that the country here did not meet his ideals, so he went to the famous Bao'en Temple to place an order, and did not want to reach Hanzhou, when the Bao'en Temple suffered a fire, leaving only a piece of rubble. In a trance, he saw a man with high cheekbones and blue eyes and a red beard leading a red-maned horse over, patting him on the shoulder and saying: "Bao'en Temple was robbed, and Patriarch Yinghua moved to the house, why didn't Master follow?" The man asked Monk Xinlian to ride a red horse together, and instantly came to a place, only to see that there were several dilapidated houses, and Patriarch Yinghua was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the house. Monk Xinlian was about to come forward to pay homage, when suddenly there was a thunderclap, and the heavy rain poured down, waking up Monk Xinlian. Thunder and lightning dreams, cold rain pourings, the heart of the lotus monk completely ignored, hard to pursue, recall the dream. Later, according to the dream, he found Qingfeng Mountain and founded the Yinghua Temple. This statement is suspected of being a hypocrisy, not to mention, the abandoned ancestral hall surnamed Yin at that time was extremely dilapidated, and there was no possibility of development at all, and it could not attract the Xinlian monk. There is also a legend that the monk Xinlian was fascinated by the pattern of "Golden Lotus Treasure Land" of Qingfeng Mountain, so he opened the mountain and built a temple regardless of difficulties and dilapidation, and propagated the wonderful gate of the Dharma. This statement is also too ethereal and unbelievable. There is only one explanation that is reasonable, that is, the monk Xinlian is Zhang Dingguo's subordinate general, and was sent by Zhang Dingguo to secretly sneak from Guisuo in Myanmar to Qingfeng Mountain to protect Zhang Xianzhong's hidden treasure. If this assumption is true, many of the later mysteries of Puzhao Temple will be solved.

As a "treasure keeper", the monk Xinlian took the Yinghua Temple as a cover and adhered to his duties, and his mission may be to take care of the hidden treasures, so that when Zhang Dingguo invaded the territory in the future, he would raise the hidden treasures to fund and respond. However, to the surprise of the monk Xinlian, within a few years in Sangui, he followed the will of the Qing court and led the army to suppress Guisuo, and the Great Western Army was completely wiped out. Monk Xinlian was disillusioned and finally died in despair and poverty, but before he died, he must have explained to his disciples his extraordinary life and experience as a general of the Great Western Army, with the "Eight Kings" Zhang Xianzhong and Zhang Dingguo to fight in the north and south. But for some reason, the monk Xinlian did not explain the treasure to his disciples, which may be related to the fact that his heart was as dead as a lamp, and he wanted to keep the treasure as a mystery in his stomach forever, or he thought: whether the disciples can discover and use this treasure in the future depends on their fate, Buddhism doesn't pay attention to fate? So it was not until many years after the death of the monk Xinlian that the monks of Puzhao Temple inadvertently unearthed the treasure. However, the secret that the founder of the mountain was the general of the Great Western Army should not be publicized, and it was only secretly circulated among the abbots and abbots of various generations.

The above is all the world's inner speculation, and the truth is geometric, and it is not known.

After a few days of traveling, Bingzhong returned to his palace. Although the man has returned, the heart is still wandering aimlessly on the mountain. For a few days, he was demented for some reason, and even if he was taken care of by Zhang Yuniang, he did not get better. Just when everyone was a little anxious, suddenly Zhang Bingzhong turned around and hurriedly ordered his subordinates to pass on the ministers of the interior to come with strict orders.

The Minister of the Interior solemnly ordered to come to the palace of the royal court and Zhang Bingzhong to talk about the affairs of the Western Kingdom, Bingzhong sighed that life is short, the world is unpredictable, and now he is in the heavenly way of cooking the world, which is even more unbearable. The loyalty to the national decree that has been pondered for many days is an order to take advantage of the strict fate:

All things are born to support people, and the world still complains about the unkindness of nature.

I don't know that locusts are all over the world, and all the people are suffering.

There are noble and low people in life, and noble people are long for the grace of heaven.

The wealth of life is always determined by heaven, and the poverty of the grass people is punished by heaven.

Suddenly, there were madmen sharpening their knives at night, and the emperor star was fluttering and high.

From now on, why do you have to spare yourself to kill people.

Those who are unfaithful can be killed! Those who are unfilial can be killed!

The unkind can be killed! The unrighteous can be killed!

Impolite, unwise, unbelievable, King Onishi said kill, kill, kill!

I was not born to chase the deer, and I was lazy to build a golden platform,

The champions and officials are like dogs, always looking for materials under the knife.

The four princes under his command were ordered to break the city without sealing the knife and dagger.

The mountain is a monument to the heavenly tree, and the people who defy the sky stand and kneel to death!

For this reason, he also ordered the Minister of the Interior to erect a monument on the left side of the royal court to warn the enemies of the western kingdom and foreign invaders. The world thinks that there are many killing words on the inscription, so it is also called the Seven Killing Tablet. Since then, it must also be the most murderous stone tablet in the world.

At that moment, he issued an edict to the generals and subjects: Those who offend our China will be punished even if they are far away. There is no need to talk about the West and Dashun, if there is an invader, it will be defeated.

There are many coincidences in the world, as the saying goes: no coincidence is not a book. When Bingzhong was issuing an edict to the generals and subjects, there was not much time, and the Ming soldiers sent Hong Chengchou's loss of more than 130,000 Ming army spy reports, and soon placed them on Zhang Bingzhong's dragon case.
