Chapter 203: Finding the Target
A liar, a liar with no sense of responsibility, a liar who can be a scumbag, I don't want to, let alone my students to be like this, I have always stubbornly thought: you can be my pride.
It is difficult to build a thing, but it is easy to destroy a thing, students, please remember and take up your responsibilities to your parents.
In college, many students have reported such a problem: they do not know what they want to do in a day, or they are not energetic in what they do. This is a very common phenomenon because you have lost your purpose. Here's why:
First: You were admitted to the university. Accomplished your ultimate goal of being dominant in elementary, middle, and high school. For many of you, university is your last stage of study. After finishing college, you have to find a job, but this is still so far away for you who have been a student for 12 years.
Second, the way of teaching in universities is completely different from that of other periods. In the university, there is no teacher who will revolve around you, for fear that you will not learn, whether you learn or not is completely your own business, you are already an adult. Without the repeated explanations in the past, without the homework that could not be done before, do you think that the class is empty for you, what if you learn, what if you don't learn? Instead of letting yourself learn so hard, it is better to let yourself live a little more freely.
Third: There is too much time for yourself in college. From the morning self-study to the evening self-study, there are teachers who assign the tasks you have to complete properly, and now no one tells you what you should do, which makes you feel at a loss. Most of you lack mental independence and good self-control, and you simply cannot grasp the freedom that appears to be too much.
Fourth: The counselor in the university is completely different from the previous class teacher. The former homeroom teacher had to take care of everything, like a harsh nanny because they saw you as a child who had not grown up; Today's counselors don't care much about specific things because they treat you like an adult. There is a very great disconnect in this process, and you are simply not mentally and intellectually able to complete this transformation.
Fifth: Most of you lack a clear, definite purpose in life. What kind of person you want to be, what kind of career you want to do, these are not clear to you. From my ideals in elementary school, to my future in junior high school, to my college in high school, to my confusion in college, you have completed the transformation of your life goals in the process, and what remains in the end is a dead worm skin. I think it's the combination of these five points that makes you lose your purpose. However, a ship without a direction is not a tailwind at all.
You should find your goal, not immediately, but in the shortest possible time. Here I give you some advice that I hope will help you find your purpose.
Step 1: Put aside all obstacles, start from the profession, and think about what kind of work or career you want to do in the future. Find a blank piece of paper and write down your final decision, and don't hesitate. Graduate school entrance examination? Exam for the civil service? Teacher? Technician? Salesman? Other?
Step 2: Use channels such as the Internet and job marketplace job postings to fully understand the professional and other skills required for the job you have set. Most of the theoretical knowledge of these skills is learned from books, and what you need to do is make a list of your studies for yourself in order from basic to advanced. Please write this on a piece of paper as well.
Step 3: Allocate study time to yourself in the order of the book. Of course, most of the time you can allocate should be your own free time. And implement it into every semester, so that you have a study plan every semester, every week, or even every day!
Step 4: Follow the study plan, study in a down-to-earth manner, and use all possible conditions to practice.
I believe that if every student has a goal, you will have a full life, you will have a busy life, and you will get a lot. So, please set a goal for yourself.
