Option 1.2 Chapter 44 - Jill's Story 4 (0.1)

Su Tianzhong, Leon, Claire, and Carlos had been listening to Jill's story, and they didn't even care about the unpleasant smell of burning in the secret passage. And Jill continued to express her anger: "Wesker, that bastard, he was still cheating on us until we landed!" If he had known what he was dealing with, he would have promised Joseph that he would not have died......"

As the helicopter flew fast in the night, Chris looked around the cabin and saw his teammates all silently thinking about something. Joseph had already wrapped the flower turban around his head and was concentrating on tying his shoes. Barry was watching the scenery outside the cabin as he wiped his gun with a soft cloth.

Jill and Chris sat on the same chair as each other, although they had a shallow smile on their faces, but they could tell from the eyes that the other party was a little nervous. Chris's gaze finally falls on Wesker's face, and he finds Wesker gesturing to him.

Wesker motioned for Chris to close the hatch and wait for the cabin to be quiet before he spoke, "We're going to carry out a search and rescue mission, and each person carries a first-aid spray with them." Heavy weapons are no longer needed, they are left on the helicopter. ”

"What? Without heavy weapons?! Chris looked at the AUG assault rifle in his hand.

"Yes, there are enough pistols, and carrying heavy weapons can be a liability." Wesker said again.

"I don't care." Barry said as he touched his beloved Merlin pistol.

"Okay." Although Chris felt that something was wrong, it was true that the search and rescue mission did not need to bring heavy weapons.

Joseph didn't say anything, he silently unloaded the grenade launcher and shotgun and replaced them with first-aid spray.

Jill and Chris and Joseph are close to Barry. Since he is an expert in weapons, Barry is responsible for inspecting weapons for S.T.A.R.S members to ensure they can be used at all times.

Barry turned around and opened the small cabinet on the side of the cabin, entered the six-digit code and opened the lock, there were four M92FS pistols inside, and the smell of gun oil immediately filled the cabin. Each one was tuned by Barry, a standard gun for the S.T.A.R.S. and capable of fifteen lethal rounds. Despite being a good gun, Barry prefers his Merlin pistol because of its power.

Jill, Chris, and Wesker all had their own modified M92FS pistols, so Barry gave them one each to Joseph and Brad, and then gave each of them five full magazines.

"I don't want to use that." Joseph said as he reloaded the magazine, preferring heavy weapons to hard-to-grasp pistols.

"In a minute, we'll be at where Team Bravo was last seen." Brad said back to the others.

"Get ready to act, they might be waiting for us somewhere around here." Wesker said loudly, tracing the sunglasses he was carrying.

Jill immediately approached the hatch and cast a sharp gaze out the window. Chris scanned the window on the other side, not missing a corner. Joseph and Barry began to do the final checks to avoid undue mistakes.

Looking out of the small window, Chris looked around for Team Bravo. The helicopter was now in a low-altitude flight state, and Chris stared out of what seemed to be an endless sea of trees, all of his consciousness pouring into the search.

The Spencer family's private fiefdom should have been enclosed. Although in the dim light, it is impossible to confirm the exact location of the Western-style building.

The most important thing at this moment was to find the Bravo team, but watching the forest flash under his feet, Jill became more and more convinced that they were not in serious trouble, perhaps only due to a broken communication system.

After a while, before the plane had gone a mile, Chris finally made a discovery. Even Barry pointed in one direction and said, "Look! ”

Jill's worries suddenly turned into fear. It was a black column of smoke that shot straight into the sky, as if the breath of death had polluted the sky, and it could be seen very clearly even at night!

"At nine o'clock! There is black smoke! Chris said. From this scenario, it seems that the helicopter in which the Bravo team was traveling must have had a crash.

"Could it be that something really happened to Team Bravo?" Jill said silently, staring at the smoke rising from the forest as she felt an ominous premonition in her heart.

Wesker walked to the window with his black sunglasses and said, "Maybe it's just an unrelated fire, or maybe they deliberately set fire to the distress signal they sent us." His voice was calm, as if he wasn't worried about the other team's life or death.

"That's not smoke from burning trees." Jill said she is familiar with explosives and has studied the smoke produced by explosions. Burning trees produces only gray-white smoke, which can only be seen in explosions or when oil is burned.

After Jill finished speaking, Chris, Barry, and Joseph all had the same hellish expressions, and their faces were full of astonishment. S.T.A.R.S members are occasionally injured in the course of their official duties, as they are part of their work, but such accidents have never occurred.

"Whatever the case may be, it's a signal. Guys, we're ready to land. Wesker said, motioning for Brad to turn in the direction of the black smoke: "Brad, find a place where we can land and let us go." Then you stay in the helicopter, ready to take off. ”

Wesker continued: "After landing, move forward in a fan-shaped search queue. Barry, you're at the front! ”

Barry nodded silently, clenching the Merlin pistol in his hand while highly concentrating on the upcoming mission.

Wesker stood in the middle of the team, and five S.T.A.R.S. members with only pistols stood in front of the hatch, waiting for Brad to land the helicopter.

As they got closer and closer to that black plume of smoke, the helicopter slowed down. Brad drove the plane in the air, then used the strong wind generated by the gyrotron to cause the weeds on the ground to fall in all directions, and then the helicopter was forced to land. Before the plane could stop, Barry opened the hatch and was about to rush out.

A warm hand rested on his shoulder, and Barry turned his head, and Chris was looking at him with a nervous expression.

"We'll be behind you." Chris said, and Barry nodded.

He wasn't worried about whether the squad would be his backup, and the most worrying thing at this time was the state of Bravo's squad more than anything else.

"Wait for me, brother, I'll go and save you right away." Barry said that Marini, who was on the other team, was a good friend of Barry.

Barry held the McLin pistol in one hand and the hatch in the other, and then jumped into the wooded area on the outskirts of Raccoon City in the rapidly darkening night.
