Choice 1.2 Chapter 45 - Jill's Story 5

While everyone else was looking in the other direction, Joseph quietly brought his shotgun, which seemed to reassure him with such a weapon in his hand.

Except for the helicopter pilot, Brad, the whole team jumped out of the helicopter. Team Alpha dispersed in a fan-shaped search formation, each with their guns in their hands and their eyes looking in different directions.

There was a flash of fire in the direction of the smoke, but there was no helicopter in sight. Barry approached the area around the fire, but he found no sign of the other team. Jill and Chris immediately became a little nervous when they saw the bullet casings and blood stains on the ground, there seemed to be a fierce battle in the place where the fire was burned, the flames were caused by explosions, and the ground was covered with dry blood, but there were no corpses in sight.

Barry picks up a bullet casing and takes a closer look at it by the light of the fire. He immediately made a discovery: "This is our special bullet." It's definitely the Bravo squad! ”

"There's a drag mark on the ground!" Chris pointed to the bushes and said that he had been a pilot and had far better eyesight than anyone else, and could spot them even at night.

With a wave of his hand, the five of them immediately gathered together and followed the trail in a fan-shaped squad. Weske and Joseph are on Barry's right, and Jill and Chris are on the left. They walked silently through the forest at night, breathing in the foul air of blood and smoke. Behind them there was the sound of the helicopter propellers starting again, as Brad prepared to follow them in the helicopter.

The smoke and trees made their vision very limited. They were moving away from the fire, but the pungent smell was getting stronger, a strange smell that seemed to resemble the rancid smell of a decomposing corpse. The team members were all familiar with the smell, but the rancid smell on such a large scale made them feel that something was not right.

"There's something over there!" Chris pointed to the front right, his eyes were indeed quite sharp.

Wesker helped his sunglasses and walked in that direction first. As soon as he turned around, Jill saw that Wesker's pupils under his sunglasses seemed to glow a little red.

"Am I dazzled?" Jill muttered quietly, maybe the light from the other side of the fire was reflecting off Wesker's sunglasses, making her mistake it for her eyes.

"It's the wreckage of a helicopter!" Barry said after Wesker that he could see the crashed and wrecked helicopter, the broken propeller blades, the broken cabin windows, and the blood stains everywhere, all of which proved that Team Bravo was in serious trouble.

Jill's heart sank, and Barry's words almost put a conclusion to the fate of the other team. Jill followed Chris out of the bushes, and behind her was Joseph, the daring guy who had already pulled out the shotgun hidden under the body armor.

The wreckage of the helicopter appears to have been baptized by an explosion, with a gap in the side created by the explosion. This is obviously one of the reasons why it will fall, someone attacked them.

Barry and Wesker began to inspect the wreckage, and Chris was in charge of keeping watch around, and everyone went about their work in silence. The helicopter's body retains its basic form and does not appear to have deformed during the fall. Jill finds several dead crows in front of the nose cockpit, and their bodies crash into the front windshield of the cockpit.

The cabin door was open, and Barry took out the tactical flashlight and mounted it on the rails on the front of the Merlin pistol. Beams of light shot into the cockpit, revealing a mutilated corpse. Barry recognized it, his name was Kevin Dooley, a mechanic for the Bravo team and an excellent pilot with a pilot's license.

"This is Kevin...... Kevin KIA. Barry's voice was a little choked, but he had to relay the news to the others.

Jill and Wesker immediately made their way to the hatch and saw Kevin's bitten and mutilated body.

"Damn it!" Chris punched the helicopter wreckage, and he heard Barry's words and had to temporarily abandon his vigilance mission.

"The bite marks look like canines, yes, it was the canines that attacked Kevin." Jill took a closer look at Kevin's wounds and came to a conclusion.

"What the hell is going on?" Joseph also leaned over and said.

"It's impossible to draw conclusions just yet." Wesker pointed to the empty interior of the cabin and said, "At least there's hope, isn't it?" Other members of Bravo's squad may still be alive. The task continues, and we must find them. Now spread out your search and don't let go of any clues. Remember! If you have an emergency, go to a western-style restaurant not far away. ”

After that, Wesker entered the cabin and used a flashlight to look inside the cabin for clues that the team might have left behind.

The team immediately spread out, searching in different directions, the grass under their feet making a slight noise.

Jill walked northwest toward Chris, Barry due north, and Joseph alone with a shotgun to the northeast, and the three groups began to look around carefully.

If you don't count the distant hum of Team Alpha's helicopters, the only thing that can be heard in the scorching and bloody air is the sound of them moving. Jill searched the grass carefully with a pistol in hand, separating the weeds of equal height to the sides with each few steps. After a while, the surroundings were completely dark, and the moonlight could not shine through the leaves, which made her unable to see her surroundings clearly, and she had to turn on the tactical flashlight to search.

It's a forest area, and it's the height of summer, so it's supposed to be full of birds and insects, but the forest is unusually quiet. Jill could hear the footsteps of his teammates, the faint sound of stomping on weeds, and the roar of his squad's helicopter moving away, but nothing else, not even birds. She stopped abruptly and pricked up her ears to listen.

But all she could hear was the noise of her teammates, and for the first time since the team had landed in the forest, Jill felt a little scared, everything was so abnormal, it seemed that there was a demon waiting for them to fall into a trap.

Suddenly, she saw a red point of light flickering among the trees in the distance, and she could faintly hear a faint sound, like some animal moving quickly.

"What's that?" Jill stared in that direction to see what was going on. The forest was quiet again, and the red dots of light seemed to have never appeared.

"What did you do today? First Wesker's eyes saw a red glow, and now he saw a red dot moving. Am I hallucinating? Jill rubbed her eyes, and had to wonder about her state, it seemed that she had seen the red light spot twice tonight, and it was very abnormal.
