Chapter 171: Mind-Body Connection
Who helped us write a life model?
Life pattern = personality tendencies× external environment× various educations× life events× past life karma (if you believe it). Note that it is a multiplication sign and not a plus sign, so there are many variables and it is particularly complicated. How can we know what kind of patterns are operating in the form of automated programs in our subconscious? Once you find it, how do you get rid of the bad ones? "Subconscious things can communicate with us in many ways, depending on whether you can be aware of it and understand it. Dreams are the bridge between the subconscious and the conscious, and dreams can give us a lot of inspiration and encouragement, and may also sort out some of the mentalities of your daytime life at the time of the dream. Dreams have the function of warning and guidance, and at the same time, they can also allow you to vent your emotions or show personality traits that you have suppressed yourself.
There are a lot of seemingly simple life events that seem insignificant, but they all have some information behind them. For example, if you want to work in a certain industry, so you want to get a license, but you can't find the admission ticket on the day of the exam, the traffic jam and so on, and many things don't go well one after another, it shows that your subconscious doesn't really want to go this way. Some recurring life patterns, if you repeatedly appear the same pattern in interpersonal relationships, such as the pattern of your colleagues, bosses and you, no matter where you go, you meet the same people, the same things, the same way of interaction, then you know that it is a subconscious pattern that dominates your fate and behavior! There is also the fact that you say something that you say or do inadvertently, although it is not the same as your original intention, but it may be what you really think in your subconscious. There are also some addictions, such as some people who know that smoking is bad, but they can't stop this kind of chronic suicidal behavior, which is the best example of the subconscious mind manipulating!
This circle around the Self is the body, and how does the body constitute a barrier between us and the Self?
You are only a conscious being until the moment you become a fertilized egg. And then all of a sudden you go into a little cell, and slowly, you have a body that grows every day, but you're still in a safe environment, and you feel like you're one with everything around you. And then you come out and go through that great creation and the fright, you are separated from the source that provides your life, and at first you are very confused, and you wonder why you are hungry and you can't get anything to eat, because you think you are one with the world. So, we slowly learned that I and my body were separate from the world. In order to maintain our senses, we develop the ego to grasp everything we can in the world. Because the ego is so illusory and fragile, it needs more grasping and acquisition in order to continue its weak life. That's why each of us is born with a lot of nameless fears and separations, and it becomes an existential anxiety that becomes the background music of our daily lives, playing non-stop.
How can we remove the obstacles in this layer of our body?
It can't be removed, just as we are far from being able to get rid of the darkness. All the things that separate us from our true self are like darkness, and all we can do is illuminate them with the light of awareness. In this part of the body, the light of awareness is the reconnection with our body. The average person has only 5 percent knowledge and control over our body, and 95 percent of our body is subconsciously controlled by an autopilot system. So, regaining a connection with the body can help us expand our territory by 5% and find more of ourselves.
How do you reconnect with your body?
Talk to your body and listen to your body's messages. Basically, any exercise that allows you to concentrate and live in the moment can help you reconnect with your body, so it's not about the movement itself, it's about your mindset and condition when you're doing it. So whether it's running, brisk walking, swimming, tai chi, qigong, yoga, as long as you can concentrate on your body, these exercises can become a form of meditation. The best way to talk and connect with your body is to meditate.
