Chapter 218: Smile
When people die, where do they go?
We wake up blindly, we go to sleep blindly. Blind laughter, blind anxiety, blind showing off, blind living. But we all seem to have forgotten one thing: we are going to die.
Once, I was lying on an empty bed, staring at the gray ceiling, and I wondered: what would I do if this was a hospital room and I was about to die......
I was scared at that moment.
History tells me that all the "beginnings" in this world are for the "end", not for the "process". If the end of life is death, then what is the point of living?
For happiness?
To be happy?
Or is it to enjoy the process?
I don't think so.
This is not the truth.
There are many people who disagree with this like me, such as Newton, such as Jesus, such as Shakyamuni. In the long history of mankind, countless people have spent their lives in search of the "afterlife". As a result, there are more and more legends about "after death". Some say heaven and hell, some say the six realms of reincarnation, and some say disappear completely.
But there is another saying: that is the jade of the living dead.
……
……
When Pudding and I saw this, our hearts were full of turmoil. The reason why Buddhism has today's social status, in addition to being kind and simple, is more important because it describes the afterlife in detail to the people who are lost, and constructs a complete system, and it is reasonable and well-founded, so that the ancients are convinced, and even today, when science is highly developed, there are still many people who rush to it. However, the monk Guixu, who was born more than 2,000 years ago, was skeptical.
After the old man died, Guiru embarked on a journey to find the "truth". He begged all the way, in rags, starting from Meili Snow Mountain, passing through Lugu Lake, Namco, Bangor, Puruogangri Glacier, Hoh Xili, Kunlun Mountain...... This path was guided by a mysterious old man, who said, "Everything you want to know is at the end of this road."
The monk of Guixu kept moving forward like this, the jackals, tigers and leopards on the road did not hurt him, and the birds and insects in the forest did not bite him, these animals were spiritual, they seemed to know something, but silently guarded him.
The monk finally came to the end, he saw a temple, he washed the dirt on his face with goat's milk, and walked into the temple reverently, he thought he would see a certain god, and then answer the doubts in his heart for him, but what he saw was ...... But it was a corpse that had long since withered, and in the center of the temple was not a statue, but a ...... Strange stones.
The monk stood beside the pile of dried corpses, and he was surprised to find that these corpses were a little strange, and they all died laughing.
It's weird.
These people are obviously dying.
But why...... All laughing?
The monk was stunned, he couldn't figure out what was so funny about death even if he wanted to break his head? He stood stupidly in the center of the temple, and suddenly his heart trembled violently, as if he had discovered some great secret.
When Pudding and I saw this, our hearts were already hanging in our throats, this is the fifth "relief mural", and there are several more behind, could it be that the secret of the "Jade of the Living Dead" is about to be revealed?
The two of us wiped the sweat from our foreheads in horror, quickened our pace, and came to the sixth painting. But the next painting does not explain the purpose of the "Jade of the Living Dead", but tells the story four years later. Pudding and I continued to look patiently in order not to miss a single detail......
……
……
Four years later:
The Monk Huanxi was still using poppies to maintain his despicable deeds, and on this day, the Guixu Monk returned.
At this moment, Huanxi's personal prestige has reached the "Buddha level" in Tibet, which is simply greater than the power of the emperor Lao'er, and in that era when the divine power is greater than the imperial power, it is no exaggeration to say: Huanxi monk is the whole heaven and earth.
After returning to the ruins, he built a thatched hut on the Meili Snow Mountain, and there were only three things in his house: a worn-out bed, a worn-out teapot, and a strange stone.
Pudding Mei asked me suspiciously: "Third child, is that stone a living dead jade?" ”
I said, "Definitely." ”
Pudding said, "But isn't the Jade of the Living Dead a mask?" How did you turn into stone? ”
I thought about it and said, "I don't know about this, could it be a mistake?" ”
Pudding said, "How can such a thing be drawn wrong?" ”
I said to Pudding, "Don't worry, let's move on." ”
……
……
After the monk came back, he lived a secluded life on Meili Snow Mountain, he changed, he was no longer confused, no longer confused. Although his whole person looks decadent, thin and withered, his eyes are so resolute. Compared with the happy monk who seeks joy during the day but can't sleep at night, the monk Guixu is no longer afraid of death, and even looks forward to death, he sees the world after death, and also knows how to go to that world.
It's not the six realms of reincarnation.
It's not hell or heaven.
These words are made up by others and deceive.
Only the living dead are jade...... It's real.
Since the return of the Guixu monks, the pattern of Tibet has gradually changed, and people have gradually found that fewer and fewer people have gone to visit the Huanxi monks, while more and more people have visited the Guixu monks. The monk Guixu does not know how to cure diseases, let alone deceive people with poppies, but people say: Master Guixu is the real Buddha and a real person of great compassion.
Later, it was exactly the same as what Lao Wei described at that time, Huan Xi mobilized the believers and killed the ruins.
Before the monk died, he divided the jade of the living dead into four, tied them to the bodies of the four eagles in the sky, and flew to the east, west, north and south, but one of them was shot by Huanxi with a bow and arrow, and the body rolled down into the vast snow-capped mountain cliff, and there was no news from it.
The eagle's body was later recovered. And this person is the builder of this tomb of the monk in ruins! This is the real reason why Huanxi sent people to search for fifteen years but couldn't find the piece of living dead jade at all!
Pudding and I looked in amazement at the last "relief mural", which clearly engraved what happened later: the monk Guiru left this world with a smile just like the people in the temple. He was not buried by the sky after his death, and his body was permanently protected, and this "Guixu Monk's Tomb" was built.
And that piece of jade of the living dead......
It lay quietly flat on his corpse.
Pudding and I saw this, and their faces were as white as paper. Could it be that the third piece of jade for the living dead...... Just ahead?
