Verse 43: The love song of life and time
I listened here quietly, with sunshine, clear water, gentle wind, bursts of laughter, low sobs, sometimes high-pitched and sometimes graceful arias, and graceful and brisk dance steps that rose and fell with the notes, and I was intoxicated for a long time. As I looked down at the weeds in the courtyard, a refreshing chill greeted me.
The love song of life and time continues, or the next time I gaze at this tree, it still continues, maybe never stops, I am just a listener, a faithful feeler, a listener in this concert of time! There seemed to be some kind of rhythm in the air, tapping on my hearing, presumably because of the tree. The whole weeds under the trees merged into a complete picture that resembled the clear water of the pond in this night, and I could hear the pleasant sound of the water splashing together, which came along with the love song of life and time, or it was simply a part of the love song, and it was not difficult to understand it if I carefully discerned it.
The night, gradually deepening, seemed to have weight—such a weight of content.
In June, with the daily routine work, with the thickened bus ticket in hand, with the newly bought black canvas casual shoes under the feet came to the end of the month; I bought a new T-shirt to change into, and the summer vibe is even stronger. I sat on the rush hour bus, looking out the window at the bustling city streetscape, thinking about the cost of living expenses, but fortunately, after moving out of school, the money in my hand could last for two months, and I didn't need to worry about living expenses until I got paid by the magazine. After returning to the accommodation, I changed my clothes, washed my face, turned on the computer, and found that Melly had sent a message on QQ:
Melly: "The kitten drank a small bottle of milk powder, and it seems to have grown up a little, and it feels so good to watch it grow up!" ”
Me: "It seems that the kitten is growing up with joy!" Or crawl around? ”
Melly: "yes, it's still climbing, so the first thing we do when we go back to the dorm now is look at the ground!" ”
Me: "As long as it's not dangerous!" How's the book going? ”
Melly: "The books are so thick, it looks tiring, but fortunately, I've read almost enough, and you've graduated, so you don't have to read these thick books, it's good!" ”
Me: "We've all read those thick books, but luckily we've made it through!" ”
The conversation with Melly reminded me of a pet I once had: I was probably not fit to keep small animals, and I hadn't had any small animals since one of my puppies died in high school due to my negligence. It was when I went out to walk the dog, I met my classmate in the cultural and sports square, so I sat down and talked about a book he once recommended to me, and when we were about to get up and go home, I found that the puppy was gone, and I couldn't find it until dark, so I had to go home. The next morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the puppy had returned, but before noon, it was already dying. Maybe it's eating something outside that shouldn't be eaten. I had to find a carton that used to hold sneakers, just enough to fit, and after I packed it, I took a small shovel and buried the puppy in a woods near my home. When I got home and looked at the empty puppy kennel, my enthusiasm for having a pet was completely extinguished. I looked at the ceiling and thought, it was probably during the summer vacation of my freshman year of high school!
