Kind-hearted Boomer

The day after stopping at the supply depot, two curious Tibetan lads came to our room. Tudou was still playing with his mobile phone under the quilt, and Dachao and I greeted these two Tibetan boys. The two young men heard from the old man who had stayed behind that we were on foot, so they came to visit us curiously. The young man with big eyelids and big eyes, like a shy big boy, was named Tashi and couldn't speak Chinese. Another quiet young man was named Boomer and could speak some simple Chinese. Bulma opened a small teahouse in the county seat, and Bulma came to see Tashi, who was grazing cattle at a place more than ten kilometers away from the supply station.

Seeing the potato playing with his mobile phone in the quilt, Boomer asked what the super potato was doing? Before Dachao could answer, the potato suddenly sat up and said that he was masturbating.

Boomer looked at the potatoes in confusion and asked what is masturbation?

Potato says it's a fun game. Potato says he can teach Boomer to play. Boomer smiled noncommittal. Potato said then he continued. After saying that, the potatoes got back into the quilt.

As he spoke, Tashi took the canned meat we had placed on the table and asked me if this was for food. I said yes, and I asked him if he wanted to try it? Boomer translated my words to Tashi, who nodded shyly. Dachao opened a can of meat, took out a few flatbreads, and poured two cups of boiling water so that Tashi and Boomer were not welcome.

Boomer chatted with us as we ate. He asked us where we were people? Why don't you come here by car? I said that Dachao is from the Northeast, Tudou is from Changsha, and I am from Jiangxi. We didn't find the car, so we walked over.

Boomer asked if we had gone home from here. Dachao said that Hoh Xili, and we went back to our respective homes and looked for our own mothers. Boomer asked, oh, how much does it cost us to get home? Dachao said that it would be about seven or eight hundred yuan to take the train back. Boomer turned around and discussed something with Tashi in Tibetan, and I could tell from their looks that they probably hadn't seen the hikers, and thought that we didn't have the money to take the car and walk home. They talked about giving us the money for the journey. I hurriedly interrupted Tashi and Boomer to tell them that we didn't run out of money to go home. Boomer looked at me very strangely and said why walk when you have money? I knew that I couldn't explain it to him clearly, so I said that I was old and not in good health, and there was a living Buddha who said that as long as I left Hoh Xili, my body would be fine. Dachao and Tudou didn't worry that I was alone outside, so they walked with me. Boomer nodded in understanding.

When Boomer and Tashi were leaving, they carried a box of instant noodles with them, but Dachao said that he would not ask for anything. I looked at Boomerma's look of blaming us for not treating him as a friend, so I pulled Dachao and asked Dachao to leave three boxes of instant noodles, saying that these were enough, and we couldn't take any more. Boomer and Tashi said goodbye.

Afterwards, when we talked about Boomer, Dachao said that he never thought that there would be such kind and simple people in the world, and that he would be generous to these people who knew nothing about funds. It's enough to eclipse all the chivalrous courage.
