666. Chapter 32 The Artifact of Thin Merit and Making Money The photo frame sits in a Buddhist shrine
At the entrance of the three main halls there is a small table with a merit book on which pilgrims can leave their names if they donate more money.
When he walked to the merit book, Ouyang Ping glanced at the merit bookโthe merit book was open, and the names of some pilgrims and the amount of donations were written on it with a brush. The smallest amount of money on a page is two hundred dollars. The maximum sum is two thousand dollars.
Second, there are many Buddhist shrines in Lingguang Temple.
On the left and right sides of the back door of the main hall, these large and small Buddha shrines are placed, and the strange thing is that the Buddha shrines are not placed in the Bodhisattva, but the remains of some people. In front of the statue is a tablet with the name of the deceased and the time of birth and death.
Ouyang Ping was puzzled: "Director Ma, how could the portraits of these deceased be placed here?" โ
"This is a service project that has appeared in Lingguang Temple in recent years. There is a fee for these tablets, and the amount of the fee depends on the size of the shrine and the location of the tablet. โ
"How much does it cost?"
"I don't know. This is decided by the benefactor and the monastery in private. โ
Ouyang Ping walked from the east to the west, and there were a total of ten large and small Buddhist shrines -- there were ten in each hall, and there were hundreds of statues and tablets in the Buddhist shrines in each hall.
This kind of income generation should be the smartest way in the world, and this kind of spiritual product derived from religion should be very flexible in terms of price -- and there should be a lot of room for growth.
"Why do people put portraits of their loved ones here?"
"It's nothing more than hoping to get a little bit of the Bodhisattva's immortal energy and spiritual light, and bless the family and children and grandchildren to be safe for a lifetime, and prosperous and wealthy."
Obediently put the statues of the ancestors in the temple, it can bring such great benefits to the family and future generations, and it is worth spending more money. What does a bodhisattva do? What the Bodhisattva is doing is to cultivate a wide range of blessed fields and purify sentient beings. The Bodhisattva is in charge of the glory and wealth of all living beings, can be touched by the Bodhisattva's immortal energy and aura, and can be protected and blessed by the Bodhisattva, this kind of business is too cost-effective. It is much better than those good men and women who prostrate in front of the Bodhisattva, and the Bodhisattva has to accept the prayers of thousands of good men and women every day, how can he remember the names of so many people - the Bodhisattva cannot have such a good memory, the Bodhisattva cannot remember their names, how can he protect and bless them? Placing the remains of the ancestors beside the bodhisattva, including those whose names are written in the merit book, the bodhisattva can see them every day. Therefore, the Bodhisattva will always think of you - the Bodhisattva has an inexhaustible wealth in his pocket, and once the Bodhisattva is happy, he will give you three melons and two dates, which will be enough for you to enjoy for a lifetime.
Third, there are more water tanks in Lingguang Temple.
Outside the back door of the three major halls, there is a large vat in each, and the vat is half a person high. There is a lot of water in the tank, the water is about ten centimeters away from the mouth of the tank, and at the bottom of the tank is a dragon head carved out of stone, the dragon head has a mouth, and there is a thick layer of one-dollar coins at the bottom of the tank, and there are also many one-dollar coins in the mouth of the dragon.
The author's narrative is a bit mixed and may be a bit off-topic, who knows? Let's follow Ouyang Ping and his entourage to the temple and let our mood relax a little. Just follow Ouyang Ping and his entourage forward.
