665. Chapter 31 The smell of copper is increasing day by day

Walking along a brick road to more than 20 meters, there is a schematic diagram on the right side of the road, on which the names of various buildings and scenic spots are marked, from the schematic diagram, the buildings and scenic spots of Lingguang Temple are divided into three parts: the first part is the hall where incense is burned and worships the Buddha, the second part is the meditation room for pilgrims to rest, this meditation room is different from the meditation room where the monks live: the meditation room where the monks live is the auxiliary building of the three major halls, and the three halls are inseparable, The meditation room for pilgrims to rest is separate from the main building. The third section is the natural attractions.

There are a total of six halls in Lingguang Temple, and on the center line of the temple, there are three main halls: the first is the Zixiao Hall, the second is the Daxiong Treasure Hall, and the third is the Guanyin Hall. There is also a building at the back of the Kannon Hall - the Hojo Temple. On the east and west sides of the three major halls, there is a two-story building on each side, and these two buildings are called the Zangjing Pavilion and the Mercy Hall respectively. There is a courtyard at the back of the Tibetan Scripture Building and the Compassion Hall, and inside the courtyard is the meditation room where the monks live.

On the mountainside to the west of the main building, there stands a newly built building, Jing'an Temple, where pilgrims live.

In the past, there were also some people who stayed in the meditation rooms of the temple. But only those large families are eligible to live in the monastery's meditation room. With the development of tourism, as people had more and more money in their pockets, the monastery smelled business opportunities in people's pockets, so they applied - asked the government for a piece of land to build a meditation house for pilgrims to live in Jing'an Temple, which was actually a hotel in the monastery. The scale of the temple is getting bigger and bigger, and how can it support such a large industry by relying solely on the incense money donated to the temple by the monks and pilgrims? The temple is no longer a temple in the original sense, it has become an industry. I'm afraid even the Buddha didn't think of this. What does a bodhisattva do? The Bodhisattva is a wide range of blessings and universal sentient beings, if he is poor, how can he protect and bless all sentient beings!

Around the main building, there is a circular mountain road, on which there are some pavilions, pavilions, caves and grottoes, and in the northeast corner of this mountain road, there is also a pagoda, the name of the pagoda is Lingguang Pagoda.

Because of the relationship of time, the comrades only went around the three halls and two pavilions. After turning around, Ouyang Ping was deeply impressed by three points:

First, there are merit boxes and merit books everywhere.

In front of the bodhisattva placed in the middle of the three halls, there is a merit box, the merit box is locked, only on the top of the merit box is opened a small opening ten centimeters long, one centimeter wide, if the pilgrim wants to donate money, they will stuff the money into the small opening.

In the early days, it was basically dependent on the incense money donated by the monks and the donors and pilgrims to support their lives and expenses in the monastery. Now, it is very different from before: although the temple is a pure place, it is not a paradise, let alone a vacuum, the monks are accompanied by the Bodhisattva in the morning and evening, and they can absorb some wisdom from the Bodhisattva's body. Keeping up with the times? It is not a bad thing to be affected, monks are also people, people have to eat, although the four major Buddhas are empty, but it is not easy to really achieve the four major empty, and monks also have desires. So, if anyone smells copper from the temple's incense, don't make a fuss.
