The "Maoshan School" that I will talk about next, that is, the "Maoshan School" that is now circulating in Liangguang, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fu, Hong Kong and other places, in fact, they are neither from the "Sanmao" nor from Li Laojun, but from the many small sects that evolved from the White Lotus Sect in the Qing Dynasty.
When it comes to the White Lotus Sect, everyone seems to think of witchcraft and rebellion, but during the Qing Dynasty, most of the White Lotus Sect had gone underground to work. It is also rare to come out and engage in political struggles, and a large part of it has been converted into ordinary beliefs.
Among them, the "Qinglian Sect" is the most powerful branch of the spell, and the head of the sect has used the "Qimen Dunjia" in history, and is familiar with the change spell. Believers in the past generations will mostly use charms to turn water into mantras to treat ordinary people and retreat from evil, so they have a good reputation among the people. The best thing in the Qinglian Sect is the kung fu of séance and possession, of course, they call it "Divine Fist". There is only a bowl of clear water, burning sandalwood, drawing talismans and chanting spells on the water bowl, after eating water, there is a god possessed, and he can punch and make sticks, called "Shaolin God Fight". It is open to both men and women. Therefore, some of the "Maoshan" factions now have the kung fu of "God Fighting".
Now there will be "Shaolin Patriarch" or "Shaolin Qingjiao Master" written on the altar map in the south, which is the patriarch in this school, not the monk of Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan! In order to conceal it, the altar map that circulated in later generations was only written as "Shaolin True Sect Master", and "White Lotus True Sect Master" can be seen to have obvious White Lotus colors.
But because the name of their sect was so eye-catching, the Qing government arrested them everywhere. So it was simply changed to "Maoshan Mountain", why? Because there was a leader in the history of the White Lotus Sect called "Mao Ziyuan", Mao Mao is the same, and it is implicitly in line with this meaning. Speaking of which, you should have some understanding.
Let's talk about the "Maoshan" patriarch of the faction, according to legend, is a marble monk. It's also strange to say, how can a spell method be a monk as an ancestor? It is said that this monk was born from a floating egg, and he was born with a miracle.
It is said that he learned the spell in the "Ruyi Book" from the "Yuan Gong" of Yunmeng Mountain, Yuan Gong is actually a white ape, which is the protagonist of the story of "White Ape Stealing Peach". It is said that this white ape guarded the secret book of the Heavenly Palace, "Ruyi Book", this book is about the law of supernatural changes throughout, and this method is very simple, easy to learn and easy to learn.
Yuan Gong passed on the contents of the book to the Danzi monk, and then burned the book as well. So, the Danzi monk went down the mountain with all his skills to open a faction. Therefore, most of the spells that talk about supernatural changes and flying away from the sky are from this "Maoshan Mountain". But how this sect is called "Maoshan" cannot be verified. But this method must have a very close connection with the Yunmeng Mountain spell system.

Strictly speaking, the orthodox Maoshan faction is only now a line, but Cha Wenbin's line can be said to be an illegitimate child, and Zhengyi is inextricably linked, and later the war, Chinese Taoism has gradually slowly fallen apart in the long river of history, there are very few people who really understand the Tao, and those who know a little bit dare to call themselves masters, show people Feng Shui, and do practical things, and now the Taoist priests and Taoist temples have completely evolved into a kind of occupation and scenic spots, and those who concentrate on cultivating the Tao are almost invisible.

Cha Wenbin told my dad that according to his inference, this general temple may have two origins:
The first statement is recorded in the ancient books, he went back to consult the manuscript left by the master, and found such a paragraph: said that the general temple, there are three Qing ancestors in the temple, the hidden wall of the beast, there is also a saying, it is: for the general, the murderous nature is too fierce, turn into evil, the good knife likes blood, adds blood, kills too much, every time the blade adds a dead soul, its own blood is increased by three points, for a long time, its own evil qi is like cultivation, infiltrating into the bloodline, fusing one, often into the devil, the world is difficult to overcome. Therefore, Chang Tianzi couldn't suppress it with the dragon qi of the Son of Heaven, so he killed.
Because the evil person often has a grudge when he dies, he is often cremated secretly after death. Then people have the ability to steal their corpses and bury them in the mountains, often asking Taoist priests to relieve their evil anger and cause resentment. Therefore, the temple is often established, and the Taoist priests in later generations have those who are difficult to suppress, often suppressed with three clean and righteous gases, and engraved with Rui beasts to avoid disasters.
That is, this temple may have had a general here in a certain dynasty, and became a demon after death, in order to suppress this killing god, this temple was specially built to suppress, because during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, we were almost slaughtered here, so the historical materials at that time could not be found, and the Cultural Revolution broke the four olds, damaged a lot of ancient relics, and there is no way to verify who this general is.
The second inference is that this temple is a Taoist temple at all, and it is very likely that it was built by the legendary marble monk with mana to the sky, this must have been a Taoist temple with strong incense, and according to Cha Wenbin's observation, this is the place where the two dragon heads of a water dragon and a small green dragon collide, it is said that the feng shui is excellent, and there should not be such a big storming of the sky.
Cha Wenbin continued to say that after this Danzi monk went west, he passed on the sect for a while, until later, I don't know what happened to cause this sect to disappear in the rivers and lakes; Until the later Taiping Heavenly Kingdom period, after all the people here disappeared, they migrated to a sect, this should be the Qinglian Sect, in order to prevent the Qing court from exterminating it, so it is known as a branch of the "Zhao Hou Holy Lord" of Maoshan Wumen, so this place was renamed the General Temple, and continued to do some things in front of people's eyes, because Cha Wenbin vaguely saw the white lotus of the Holy Decree pattern of the Qinglian Sect on the blackened wall.
And what made him puzzled was the pattern like the characters, according to his inference, it was written by a special Taoist text, ordinary people could not understand, if it was a person who was associated with the Tao, it would be ingested into it, it was very likely that it was the legendary Heavenly Palace secret book "Ruyi Book", but with his current Taoist reward, he could not understand the meaning, but even so, it also reached a qualitative leap in his cultivation realm.
