Chapter 45: The Seventy Wise Men Fight to Eliminate Demons

"Could it be that after so many years, we haven't found the right person?" Guan Wen asked.

"Of course not, there are countless wizards in the world, and everyone who feels my call to come to the appointment is a very intelligent person. Some people are even born with psychics, and they can understand my inner world without me saying anything, and they are willing to accept the order and be willing to help me. What I want to do is to 'get rid of the demons' and eliminate the witches suppressed by one king and two princesses in ancient times. To put it simply, someone who can help me must have two conditions, one is to be good at drawing, and the other is to be willing to contribute. Although the conditions were tough, there were always people who could do it, so I taught them the wonderful technique of skull thangka. ”

Guan Wen sighed unconsciously: "Before this, you didn't expect that that unique skill would harm them, right?"

The voice fell silent, and it took a long time before he slowly replied: "I don't want to lie to you, before I taught the skill, I had a premonition that some people would go mad and embark on the road of no return. Because for a painter, teaching him the method to be able to improve his painting art ten times is equivalent to equipping the tiger with wings, and it is a refreshing thing for the tiger to fly and roar into the sky. Most people are immersed in the art of painting, forgetting time and space, and studying tirelessly at night. The thirst for painting took possession of their souls, and in the end, they could not control their desires, went mad, and died violently. ”

Guan Wen smiled bitterly: "So that's the case?"

Knowing that the skeleton thangka is harmful to people with a little less concentration, it has to be said that it is a cruel thing to still teach them. Just like giving marijuana and morphine to people who are addicted to drugs, there is only a fine line between loving and harming.

"You must blame me in your heart, you shouldn't have done anything to others to quench your thirst?" The voice asked faintly.

Outside the tree hole, a night breeze quietly rose, blowing the branches of the giant tree, making a strange sound. If it weren't for Gu Qingcheng's attack, he would have waited for Baoling in the family hotel at the moment, so that she could have a safe and stable dream.

"You're distracted." The voice said.

"I'm just thinking about a friend who has had a very strange experience, and this is the time when she needs to be guarded the most." Guan Wen's heart was pinched. Because he thought that even a sharp and brave bounty hunter like Gu Qingcheng could not resist the counterattack of the Blue Dragon Society, Baoling was a weak woman, once something happened, who would save her?

"I knew this was the case, I should have practiced martial arts and swords, first of all, I had a strong physique, so that I could shelter her from the wind and rain." In the bottom of his heart, a voice of remorse whispered.

"You...... If you have too many things in your heart, you can't concentrate on one thing. I really don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing to summon you this time...... But I had no choice but to do so. This tree is too old for me to sustain my life. If you wish, please come with me—"

Guan Wen closed his eyes, just like the "meditation homework" that must be done before painting, gradually emptying his mind of many trivial thoughts that were up and down, gathering all his attention, and focusing on the here, here, now, and this matter.

Suddenly, he felt that his body shot upwards like an arrow, breaking through the cover of the tree hole and flying straight up more than ten meters high.

"Don't be afraid, this is just a separation of the Jing God and the body, and there will be no danger. In Tibetan Buddhism, a wise man can reach such a state after seven rounds of retreat. The voice came again.

Guan Wen looked forward, and ten steps away, an extremely burly Tibetan monk stood upright, with a crimson monk's robe draped over his shoulders, a stern face, and a frown.

He looked at his feet and saw the Nisseri Mountain, Tashilhunpo Monastery, the city of Rikhatse, and the city of Lhasa to the east. It turned out that the height at which he flew in the air was not a dozen meters, but hundreds of meters.

"Only by standing here can we see the whole picture of Tibet. Only by seeing the whole picture can we realize where the key points of demon suppression and demon elimination are. In ancient times, one king and two princesses were also in the ten degrees of retreat and practice, reaching the realm of out-of-body souls, only to notice the existence of the Rakshasa witch, and the Tang Dynasty demon master accurately marked the location of the witch on the Xizàng demon control map, and took decisive action, first the feng shui of Lhasa City was restructured and restructured, so that it has eight auspicious appearances, and then built the twelve temples in Weizang Siru, the four limbs and joints of the demon town, and finally calmed the disaster, so that the Tibetan people lived a happy and healthy life. Such a feat is really unprecedented, unprecedented, and worthy of being marked in history. ”

Guan Wen was familiar with all the details of the Xizàng Demon Suppression Map, so with a little observation, he could find the general location of the Twelve Temples of Demon Suppression. Looking down from the air, I feel more and more that part of the old city of Lhasa is grandiose and rigorously arranged, which is the most bright and upright eight auspicious aspects in Tibetan Buddhism. The location of the Potala Palace is in the dignified position of Lhasa City, like a needle of the sea god, firmly controlling the place of the king's scepter.

Regarding the history of "demon suppression" of one king and two princesses, the most authoritative and most recognized records by historians are as follows:

Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty and Princess Qizun of Nepal successively married the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo, and brought precious Buddha treasures such as the Buddha statue of Shakyamuni from their own country into the collection. Princess Qizun repeatedly built temples and was destroyed, so she asked Princess Wencheng to speculate on the address of the temple for her. Princess Wencheng repeatedly deduced the eighty kinds of Five Elements Feng Shui techniques in the Central Plains, and learned that the terrain of the snowy Xizàng was the shape of the Rakshasa Witch lying on her back. Lhasa Wotang Lake is the witch's brainchild, the three mountains are the witch's heart and veins, around Muqi (Xiaozhao Temple) is the dragon god dwelling, Lupu (Chara Lupu under the eastern cliff of Yaowang Mountain) is the habitat of the black evil dragon, Davaze is the ghost and non-human habitat under the single poisonous tree, a place in the southeast is boiled, like an elephant going into battle and so on. It is precisely because of all kinds of ominous things that the national fortune and the Buddha fortune cannot be enjoyed. Therefore, Princess Wencheng first conditioned the feng shui of Lhasa, used the palace on the mountain of the Potala Palace to calm the witch's heart, and instructed Princess Qizun to fill in the Wotang Lake with goat and camel soil, and build the Jokhang Temple on it, and the Buddha statue. After that, Princess Wencheng implemented a series of feng shui rectifications, so that Lhasa had eight auspicious appearances, and built the twelve temples to suppress demons in Weizang Siru, suppressing the joints of the witch's limbs, forming twelve unmovable nails to suppress witches.

Princess Wencheng's ability to leave a strong mark in China's official history is inseparable from her feat of "entering Tibet and suppressing demons".

"Do you see clearly?" The burly monk asked.

"Senior, I have seen clearly, the witch has been stiffened." Guan Wen nodded. The mountains and rivers of Tibet in his eyes are no longer ordinary undulating terrain and landforms, but correspond to the body of the Rakshasa witch on the demon suppression map. It's just that the witch is lying stiff, and there is no sign of life.

"Wrong." The monk sighed, "For many years, countless cultivators have had the idea of you, thinking that the witch died of stiffness under the suppression of the Twelve Immovable Nails. It wasn't until more than 200 years ago that the Gurkha invaded Xizàng for the second time and plundered Tashilhunpo Monastery, and the Grand Lama Doggyatso of the Monastery's Elders' House retreated for 35 days in the thousand-year-old snow cave of Niseri Mountain, and suddenly realized that the Rakshasa witch did not die, but broke away from her shell, hid her true appearance, dived deep into the ground, and gradually got rid of the imprisonment of the twelve immovable nails. Before the scheduled 108 years of retreat had expired, Dogg Gyatso broke through the barrier by himself and gathered the wise men of Tashilhunpo Monastery and nearby monasteries to gather at the Buddha's Light Terrace on the highest part of Mount Niseri to study countermeasures. There were seventy wise men present at that time, and all of them were able to reach the realm of out-of-body and thousands of miles. Seventy people have seen the existence of the crisis, the witch has indeed recovered, and the Gurkha people crossed the Himalayas to attack, it was the witch who was bewitched. The witch's primordial spirit is just beginning to recover, and she must absorb the evil power of the undead in the flames of war and slaughter in order to gradually grow stronger, and finally break through the ground and subvert the world. Fortunately, the 3,000-volt demon brought by Princess Wencheng was guarded all year round in the underground of Lhasa City, and it was only after effectively solving the collapse of the witch who overturned the Potala Palace and resurrected on the spot. At that time, as a junior disciple of Doggyatso, I was also present—"

The history of the second invasion of the Gurkha and the invasion of Tibet by General Fukangan can be seen in the annals of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.

Guan Wen also read this paragraph when he checked the materials of Tashilhunpo Monastery before entering Tibet:

In 1793, the Gurkha people invaded Xizàng for the second time, and the smoke burned and Xizàngri Kaze Tashilhunpo Monastery. The emperor of the Qing Dynasty immediately appointed Fukangan as the general and the famous general Hailancha as his deputy, and transferred capable soldiers from the northeast, Sichuan, Qinghai, and Gansu to gather in Tibet to resist the Gurkha army. After the Qing army entered Tibet, they conquered all the battles and conquered the Himalayas from Xizàng to the city of Gorkha (near Kathmandu, the capital of present-day Nepal). In the end, the Gurkha surrendered and paid tribute as vassals.

War is always traumatic, and no one wants to talk about that long history anymore. However, the people of Xizàng have never succumbed to the oppression of a powerful enemy, and no matter how many bloody rebirths they have experienced, they have always been able to regenerate Tibetan landscapes and restore purity and clarity. This kind of tenacious and tenacious fighting god has started since the era of one king and two princesses, and has continued to this day.

"Senpai, what should I call you?" Guan Wen asked respectfully.

"I was the only survivor of the Seventy Wise Men's Demon Eradication War. Their names should be remembered by the world, and as for me, I have long forgotten my real name and only named after this ancient tree. The monk replied.

Guan Wen understood that he was the real tree master.

"Every time I recall this period of history, I feel extremely ashamed, because any responsible cultivator should be proud of dying on the battlefield of subduing demons. Compared to those who died in battle, those who survive will always bear an inextricable shame. In the past, the seventy wise Buddhas gathered at the light platform, and everyone gathered firewood and flames, and quickly found the black hole that entered the witch's habitat from Nisseri Mountain. According to the resolution of the Council of the Wise, everyone immediately cut off all concerns, entered the black hole, and surrounded the witch. In fact, it was a life-and-death battle, and everyone understood how dangerous it was to enter a black hole. I remember that at that time, Senior Brother Doggyatso stood at the top of the Buddha's light platform and prepared for the worst - 'leave one person to lead the middle-level disciples in the temple to break off, prepare sulfur stones and explosives, and limit them to one day and night, and if the wise men cannot retreat with their whole body, they will use sulfur stones and explosives to seal the black hole layer by layer, and seal the witch in the hole. Wait for the right moment to ignite the explosives and turn the entire Niseri Mountain into a witch's grave.' Those who stay can stay away from the battlefield and be able to save their lives, but everyone is reluctant to stay, because that kind of 'retreat' is related to the reputation of the practitioner for the rest of his life......"
