Chapter 189: Ink Bamboo Blue Dragon Girl
After opening the black sutra cloth, I saw that there was a layer of red sutra cloth inside, and after opening, there was another layer of yellow sutra cloth, and then I opened it, and inside was a "Manjushri Dictation" written by the fifth ** lama himself. Pen ~ Fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info At that time, the 4th Panchen Lama suddenly understood that although the 5th ** Lama studied the teachings of various sects, his inner sect was still the Gelugpa thought of Master Tsongkhapa. So he passed away not long after he returned.
Later, when the Fifth Buddha heard the news, he said regretfully: "Alas, if I had not gone out that day, my guru would not have opened my scriptures and would not have discovered this. Because he is not at ease, he will live in his old house for a while. ”
In front of the Golden Pagoda of the Fifth Dalai Lama, listening to this rather legendary legend, I can't help but be fascinated by the story of the Panchen Lama and the Dalai Lama. Suddenly, for some reason, I suddenly felt that an invisible force was guiding me to the back mountain of the Potala Palace.
The road out of the Potala Palace can go to Zongjiao Lukang by the way, enter from a small gate behind Zongjiao Lukang, pick up the stone road from the forest of the left-hand willow, and you can see a pool of clear water.
This is the place where the soil was taken during the expansion of the Potala Palace, and the water became a pool. The green and fluffy mass in the center of the lake is the Dragon Lady Palace, which is dedicated to the Dragon Girl's ink bamboo and blue.
An old lama sat on the edge of the pool, his eyes slightly closed, and he kept shaking the prayer cylinder. As soon as I walked up to him, he suddenly opened his eyes and kept looking at me.
I saluted the lama with his hands together, and the lama said lightly: "The donor must be here to do something with this inky bamboo-colored green dragon girl, right?" ”
My heart shook, for I did not know the purpose of my trip, but I felt an irresistible call in my heart. Does this lama know what I am coming for? What is the origin of that inky bamboo-colored green dragon girl?
The lama pointed to a rock beside him, motioned for me to sit down, and slowly told me the story of the green dragon girl with ink and bamboo.
Legend has it that the hometown of Mozhu Seqing is in the Sifu Gorge of Mozhugongka County in the east of Lhasa, where there is a green Langcuo Snow Mountain Lake, which is filled with the unique beauty, desolation and loneliness of the Snow Plateau.
In the deepest part of the lake, there are palaces, gardens and pastures with black bamboo and green colors. She spent many years there farming, milking, grazing yaks, weaving cattle, sheep and deer. It is said that her life was rich and comfortable, but very lonely.
The meandering Sifu River, flowing out of the Seqing Langcuo Lake, flows into the Mozhugongka River, the river flows with pure and clean snow-capped mountains, and also flows with all kinds of charming myths and legends. The village of Barlow, made of huge stones, rests on the confluence of the Sifu River and the Mozhugongka River.
There are several men in the village who claim to have seen the graceful figure of the dragon girl. It was a foggy night, and she walked in the direction of Lhasa in the hazy moonlight, through the woods by the river, faintly and gracefully. Sometimes, she sang while walking, and her singing voice was particularly beautiful and heart-wrenching, so that the men in the village, especially the bachelors, could not sleep, and some even got up to follow her traces on the river beach.
There is a local saying: when a man encounters a dragon girl, he will get a dragon disease called "Lunan", which will have blisters on his face and become leprosy, which is a little gift from the dragon girl to the greedy and confused men. And when the woman sees her, she will be blessed to become strong and beautiful, or to give birth to a beautiful daughter. Some of the most beautiful women in the local area often think that they or their mothers and grandmothers have seen the dragon girl, or at least the result of the blessing of the ink and bamboo.
Barlow Village not only wants to see the ink and bamboo green, but also is afraid to see the ink and bamboo green, and there are many contradictions, year after year. A clever man came up with an idea to build a dragon temple in the forest where the two rivers meet, and worship the green face of ink and bamboo, which can not only bow to the ground from afar, but also avoid falling into "dragon disease". On both sides of the temple, there are tall and black trees, mighty and straight, pointing straight to the blue sky, they are the generals who protect the black bamboo and the blue.
In the eighth century AD, the Tibetan king Trisong Detsen ruled the vast snowy plateau, and legend has it that he personally climbed the high Gogala Snow Mountain to collect wood from the dragon girl ink bamboo-colored blue piece in order to build the first Buddhist monastery in history. It is one of the eight dragon gods of the Bon Snow Region, and has a primeval forest full of mountains and valleys.
He and her met on the shore of Seqing Langcuo Lake, and soon had an inseparable love affair. The king stayed here for a long time and refused to go back, enjoying the joy of the love of man and god. The news reached the ears of Padmasambhava, the spiritual guide of the King of Zao, causing him great shock and embarrassment.
Two or three hundred years ago, the former king of Tibet as a custom to marry the dragon girl as a concubine, the grandfather of King Songtsen Gampo, Da Ri Nexi, the historical records are the dragon girl Qin Salujie. However, it was the era when Bon was dominant, and now that the emerging Buddhism was ambitious to replace the primitive religion, how could a king who worshiped Buddha and a god of Bon fall in love as he pleased?
If so, the development of the story is a bit like the fighting between Fahai and the White Lady in "The Legend of the White Snake". Guru Padmasambhava personally stepped out and used powerful tantric techniques and spells to subdue the ink bamboo and make her sacrifice a large number of forest trees. Perhaps because of Trisong Detsen's intercession, Mozhu Seqing was not imprisoned in the 'Leifeng Pagoda', but converted to Buddhism and became a high-status protector of the Nyingma sect (Red Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism.
This story is not only circulated among the people, but also in the murals of Samye Monastery, there is indeed a picture of the dragon girl taking refuge in the Three Jewels and giving alms to the woods. Sakya; Solang Gyaltsen's "Records of the Emperor" written in the 14th century A.D. also has such a record: "In order to prevent leprosy, Master (Padmasambhava) collected the dragon king's ink and bamboo, and pressed it with a vajra. Seqing turned into a boy and came to the king (Trisong Dezan), willing to help him, and promised to give the king what he wanted, and the king interceded for him, and swore to submit. ”
From here, it can also be confirmed that the dragon maiden Mo Zhu Seqing and the Tibetan king Trisong Detsen did have various interactions. For many years, on the 15th day of April and 15th of May in the Tibetan calendar, Samye Monastery would send a lama to Langcuo Lake to worship Mozhu Seqing to thank her for her support in the construction of the monastery.
One day more than 800 years ago, there was a tall and depressed Kham monk who climbed the steep cliff peak of Drikung Mountain with steady steps. Dorjeebu's proud disciple Ren Qingbei. He made a special trip to a small temple in the mountains, and planned to use it as a base to spread his teachings to all Tibetan areas and throughout the snowy region.
He inspected the mountain for three days and five days, and found that there was no water source for the monks and pilgrims to gather here, so he stayed up all night, anxious, and struggling to find a solution.
Late one night, he heard the wind chimes between the eaves, the temple door opened quietly, and a beautiful and dignified woman floated up and said: "Over a mountain, two mountains, there is a dragon girl ink bamboo color green, that is me, don't worry about the mountain no snow, don't worry about the mountain no clear spring, don't worry about the monks have no water to boil tea, don't worry about the pilgrims have no water for the Buddha." I am the owner of the land and wealth of the Mozhu Gongka, and I can bring forests, flowers, and springs to the mountains of Zhigong," he said, handing Renqingbei seven pine ear stones.
Renqingbei embedded the pine ear stone in the seven parts of Zhigong Mountain, and soon it became a seven-eyed clear spring. The water spring cured Ren Qingbei's heart disease, and the worries of many days were swept away. He built the magnificent Drikung Ti Monastery on the mountain, where thousands of lamas, pilgrims, and practitioners gathered. Renqingbei is revered as the founder of the White Sect of the Zhigong faction, and the strength of the Zhigong faction has been prosperous for hundreds of years.
The dragon maiden ink bamboo color blue brought treasure water to the temple, and also gave a lot of wood and ten large copper jars, and made a lot of merit to the formation of the Drikung Kagyu school, she is the protector of the Drikung Ti Monastery, and is the protector of the living Buddha himself, so it is not surprising that she appears around the living Buddha.
Another 500 years have passed in the history of the snowy region, and the Yellow Sect, represented by the fifth ** Lama, has gained the ** local political and religious power. The place where he resided in Xi was also moved from Drepung Pozhang to the newly completed Potala Palace towering on the Red Mountain. Starting
Legend has it that one day just after dawn, the great monk walked out of the dormitory and looked down at random, and found the dragon girl curled up on the ancient willow tree in the north of the Potala Palace, and the cold wind made her shiver.
It turns out that since the ink bamboo color green took refuge in the Three Jewels, he is very devout to the Dharma, and every auspicious day, he always brings a large amount of ghee and offerings to the Jokhang Temple to worship the Buddha Shakyamuni. Sometimes she becomes a cloud, sometimes she turns into rain, sometimes she becomes a golden snake, sometimes she becomes a fish, and of course more often in her female form.
In the places where she passed, on the left and right banks of the Lhasa River, all kinds of wonderful legends and stories were born. Some tell how she was caught by a young fisherman and married this simple young man, while others tell how she helped the old man who was guarding the water mill to relieve his distress.
In short, when the fifth ** learned that the dragon girl went to Lhasa to worship the Buddha and had nowhere to settle but to perch on the ancient willow, he felt very guilty. So he gathered the lay people to open up a potholed wasteland in the north of the Potala Palace into an artificial lake, and on the island in the middle of the lake, built a splendid Dragon King Pavilion, and invited Mozhu Seqing to stay in it.
Every year in the fourth month of the Tibetan calendar, the residents of Lhasa put on festive costumes, swing cowhide boats in the Dragon King Pond, sing auspicious songs, pay tribute to the dragon maiden's black bamboo green dome salute, and pray for this beautiful goddess to bestow happiness, joy, wealth and a good harvest. There is no doubt that Mozhu has also become the god of protection of the Yellow Sect and the city of Lhasa.
I looked at the pool of clear water, fascinated by the charming charm of the black bamboo-colored green dragon girl.
Suddenly, I heard a grunt around me, and then someone kept snorting and screaming in pain. Following the sound, I was surprised to find that the old lama who had just told me the story of the ink-bamboo-colored green dragon girl actually fell to the ground.
