Chapter 421: Dongfang Zhizi
The old monk did not answer, as if he had fallen asleep.
The "seal of sealing" has become a secret of Nepalese Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism, and this mudra is rarely mentioned among contemporary monks, and the younger generation of famous monks deliberately pursue openness, welcome the new, and keep pace with the times, let alone study these ancient and obscure things.
The 21st century is an era of hustle and bustle, impetuousness and change, whether it is the mortal realm or the Buddha realm, all of them are affected by this trend, and people's hearts are fluctuating and unable to sustain themselves.
Lin Xuan is one of the few young people in the mortal realm who is determined and not impatient, and it is precisely because of this trait that he is entrusted with the important task of entering Tibet by the leaders of the organization. More and faster chapters are here.
"Senior, it seems that you are unwilling to answer my doubts?" Lin Xuan sighed and stepped back again.
In this empty world, he is both afraid of seeing some strange and terrifying characters, but also longing to meet wise men who can truly answer his doubts. Otherwise, you will end up trapped here.
"Senior, then I'll take my leave." He bowed to the old monk in the cave.
"They're coming." The old monk said suddenly.
Lin Xuan looked around, but there was still no one, so he was even more confused, and he didn't know who the old monk was referring to by "they"?
"Who are they?" Lin Xuan asked, "Is it your disciple and fellow disciple?" ”
"He'll come too." The old monk answered the question.
Lin Xuan became more and more confused, while the old monk's words were concise to the extreme, and every short sentence contained indescribable Zen machines.
"I had a dream." The old monk said, "The Bodhisattva said, on the day of the beginning of the 'Great Summoning', there was a wise son from the East, and he saw the sun in one qiē, and that was the greatest good news. Now, I don't know if you are the 'Eastern Wise Child' that the Bodhisattva said, but I can't wait, I only have 100 days left in my life, and I can't last long. ”
When Lin Xuan heard the word "Spreading the Great Call", he couldn't help but shake his head: "Senior, the day of 'Spreading the Great Call' is still far away." ”
"Chuan Da Zhao" refers to the Tibetan Buddhism Dharma Gathering from the first day to the 25th day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar every year, when thousands of monks from the three major monasteries in Lhasa gather at the Jokhang Temple to hold a variety of religious and ritual activities. The festival began in 1409 A.D., when Tsongkhapa, the patriarch of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism, convened the monks of various temples to hold a puja in Jokhang Temple for 15 days in order to commemorate the merits of Shakyamuni Buddha's defeat of the six foreign paths with the method of divine transformation.
The Tibetan New Year is a traditional festival of the Tibetan people, and its estimation method is different from the Lunar New Year of the Han people, for example, the Tibetan New Year in 2010 is February 14, which is one day of the Lunar New Year. In 2009, the Tibetan New Year was on February 25, and the Spring Festival was on January 26, so the time was one month later than the Spring Festival. In 2008 and 2015, the Tibetan New Year and the Spring Festival were celebrated on the same day.
Relevant documents and historical materials prove that the Tibetans already had a calendar before the establishment of the Tibetan Dynasty. From the perspective of the ancient Tibetan phenological calendar, the main calendars in various places before the unification of the Tibetan Plateau had lunar and solar calendar components, and "Shannan Yala Chambord Textile Old Woman's Moon Calculation" and "Zhangxiong Old Population Algorithm" are among the representative works.
Lin Xuan's clinic has three kinds of calendars: the Gregorian calendar, the lunar calendar, and the Tibetan calendar, which are clearly marked for various festivals of the Han and Tibetan peoples, and there is no mistake.
As far back as he can remember, the next Puja is at least five months away.
"So, are you the 'Oriental Zhizi' of the Bodhisattva's dream?" The old monk asked. Be the first to update
Before Lin Xuan could answer, he suddenly heard the sound of heavy chains mopping the floor from the right, which was extremely harsh.
He followed the sound and saw two monks, one tall and one short, coming side by side. The size and frequency of their strides are exactly the same, as precise as the two synchronising gears that are enclosed by a connecting rod.
Getting closer, Lin Xuan could see clearly, a black iron chain passed through the collarbones of the two of them, and then leaked out from the shoulder socket back, through the shoulder blades of the two people, and then locked together. More and faster chapters are here. The chains were extremely long, and the excess was at least four or five meters long, and all of them were dragged to the ground.
The two of them had no expression on their faces, their facial features were blank, and they must have been completely numb to the pain caused by the iron chain piercing.
"Can you guess what our debate is this time? Hehehehe, you must not guess, because we are exploring the geographical environment of the southern slope of the Daxue Mountain, the rising sun, and the backlight of the northern slope. Why is the relationship between the two places and the sun's rays completely different, but the measured temperature is exactly the same? Isn't it rare to be exposed to the sun and the temperature is high, and if you can't get sun, the temperature is low? The two men made a sound, but their lips did not move, and I don't know which one made it. More and faster chapters are here.
They also spoke Nepali, and their voices were harsh and unpleasant.
"The southern slope is too far away, and the northern slope is far from the sun; The southern slope receives almost 14 hours of sunlight every day, while the northern slope receives less than a single ray of sunlight throughout the year. Such a noticeable difference, but no difference in temperature. How can this be explained, you say? The two said again.
The old monk replied, "This debate is not interesting. ”
At the same time, the two said: "A truly philosophical debate is boring, and the so-called truth study to the extreme is also boring, isn't it?" Truth is simplified to the extreme, which is the formula; The formula is simplified to the extreme, which is the theorem; The theorem is simplified to the extreme, and it is symbol. Therefore, in classical books, symbols are often used to represent the truth. The wisdom of the ancients was much higher than ours, so they could express a qiē with symbols, but we couldn't. ”
The conversation between the old monk and the two of them really reminded Lin Xuan of the "Passing on the Great Summoning" puja.
As far as he knows, prayer and chanting are the main activities of the great calling, which are held six times a day. Morning, afternoon and evening prayers are wet prayers, and when chanting, a small lama with a teapot or porridge bucket in his arms will appear regularly to pour tea or add meat porridge for the monks. The three assemblies in the morning, afternoon, and evening are called the Ganjing, and there is no tea or food supply, and the main purpose is Buddhist philosophical debate. The chief conductor of these gatherings, known as the "Ongzechenpo", is the chief conductor of these gatherings, and thousands of monks under his leadership chant in a voice like the waves of the sea, with a mystical power that moves the heart. On the platform on the second floor of the Jokhang Temple, donors from all over the country, as well as from Tibetan areas of Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and even neighboring countries, throw hata-wrapped coins into the lama groups from time to time. Other donors of higher status carry Tibetan incense sticks directly into the chanting venue and hand them out to the presiding officer.
One of the most fascinating events of the Dharma was the public debate on the Kogshe in Qusongre Square on the south side of the Jokhang Temple. Geshe is the highest degree in the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, and 16 people are nominated by the three major monasteries each year. The debate was presided over by the Dharma Platform of Gaden Monastery and attended by the abbots of the major monasteries. All the monks present can take turns to challenge the examinee and debate the scriptures with him. The sound of this debate is very musical, supplemented by high-fives, shouting, and non-stop drawings, and a long series of rosaries flying with gestures, which is very exciting.
