China's fourth-generation heavy stealth air superiority fighter with twin engines, twin tails, canard layout, and air intake on both sides.

The power system is two domestic WS-15 (afterburner thrust 16.6 tons) or two Soviet-Russian AL-41F (afterburner thrust 17.1 tons) turbofan engines, with an air combat thrust-to-weight ratio of about 1.6, a maximum high-altitude speed of Mach 2.4 (with AL-41F, without ventral fins)/Mach 2.6 (with WS-15, equipped with ventral fins), and a high-altitude cruising speed of Mach 1.4.

Built-in magazine, which can be mounted with combat missiles*2, medium-range missiles*6, or other ammunition of the same volume. The AESA radar has a detection range of 27 km to typical targets (Su-27), and the fire control system can simultaneously engage 10 targets (theoretical values).

This model is designed and developed to adapt to the air threat in the new century and with reference to the MiG-35, and can be used as both an air superiority fighter and an interceptor. The comprehensive performance is similar to that of the Soviet and Russian MiG-35 (the engines, radars, and weapon systems of the two are compatible), and slightly better than the American F-22 and the European Community "Hurricane".
