Volume 1: The Supreme Mandate of Heaven Chapter 48: The Canon in the Sutra (II)

Chen Sheng's own secret book, after identification, was identified as Bai Sรจ's top-grade martial arts secret, and it also shows that it can indeed be integrated with the martial arts secret of the same name of this Shijie. However, there is an extra line of small print next to it, indicating that because the level of the transcriber of this item itself does not meet the minimum requirements, the item cannot be taken away from the task shijie.

This situation is actually quite normal. Chen Sheng asked about the night Yongxing, so he knew that it was the same in "Dungeons & Dragons" Shijie. Unless the competitor has already met the two specialty skills of "reaching the level of 6 star or above, and has obtained the two specialty skills of 'Copying Scrolls' and 'Alchemy'", the magic scrolls and magic potions they have made themselves cannot be taken away from the task Shijie. Of course, it's okay to keep the haode scrolls and magic potions you have made and put them in your stronghold and use them when you return to Dungeons & Dragons Shijie later.

But Chen Sheng didn't expect that although he followed Jihua and successfully joined the Shaolin sect, and was accepted as a disciple by the abbot of Fang Zheng, but when it came to the end, the abbot of Fang Zheng thought that he was not suitable for practicing the "Yijin Sutra", and wanted to teach the "Shenzu Sutra" instead. And asked Chen Sheng if he was willing.

I've never seen any of the Divine Foot Sutra at all, and I don't know what kind of exercise it is. The fact that he had to make a decision in an instant made Chen Sheng feel a little difficult to answer. However, as a competitor of the Infinite God Domain, he has a huge advantage, and that is to have the Skull Empals. When it was difficult to choose, Chen Sheng immediately thought that if he could touch the original of these two martial arts secrets with his own hands, then he should be able to judge the superiority and inferiority between these two major exercises.

All kinds of cumbersome thoughts, in reality, are only momentary. Facing the abbot's inquiry, Chen Sheng shook his head and said, "I have never heard of the name of the Divine Foot Sutra. Master, if I can, I would like to take a look at these two secrets with my own eyes before making a decision. โ€

The abbot nodded, "Of course. Anyway, junior brother, I bother you to take him to the Scripture Pavilion to read the original of the two scriptures. โ€

Master Fang Sheng bowed down and agreed. Then lead the way in front and push the door out. Chen Sheng saluted his newly recognized master, followed Master Fang Sheng, and stepped out of the side hall. The two of them ran to the woods next to the temple, one after the other.

Follow a forest trail in a radial northwest. After turning a few corners, the eyes suddenly opened up, only the sound of the water could be heard, there was a jฤซng to a small pavilion standing next to the mountain stream, and the plaque hanging on the upper floor had the words "Tibetan Scripture Pavilion" written on it. The Shaolin Temple Tibetan Scripture Pavilion is famous all over the world, but it was originally established here. This pavilion is built on the water, far away from other houses, which is afraid that a fire in the temple will destroy the precious classics.

The Tibetan Scripture Pavilion is one of the fundamental important places of Shaolin Temple, and it is naturally guarded. Chen Sheng and Master Fang Sheng had only approached the attic a hundred steps away, and immediately four monks with handy shovels came out to inquire. Master Fang Sheng casually explained the intention, and the four monks couldn't help but be surprised when they heard that Chen Sheng was the abbot's new disciple. However, Master Fang Sheng is highly respected in the temple, and he is also a deep cultivator, and he never speaks. Therefore, the four monks did not suspect it, and immediately got out of the way, and let the two of them pass together.

The two approached the attic and pushed the door in. I saw that the attic was quite spacious. Rows of bookshelves are lined up with books. In a hurry, it is not clear how many there can be. In addition, there are four or five wooden bookcases next to it, as well as futons and pen, ink, paper, and inkstones. Presumably for the monks to copy the scriptures - this is only the first layer.

Fang Sheng lit the oil lamp, then covered it with a gauze cover, and led Chen Sheng to the stairs next to him, and said, "In the Shaolin Scripture Pavilion, it can be called all-encompassing. On the first floor, there are mainly the three Tibetan classics such as the scriptures, laws, and treatises of our Buddhism, as well as the writings and records of the great monks of various sects and sects in the past thousand years. In addition, it is the martial arts atlas of the 36 rooms of the Shaolin Luohan Hall, as well as the martial arts of various sects and factions in the world recorded by the Prajna Hall. โ€

Chen Sheng asked casually: "All the sects and sects in the world have martial arts?" โ€

Master Fang Sheng explained as he pedaled the stairs, "Not bad. Shaolin Temple has been famous for more than 1,000 years, and it is because the martial arts of this school are broad and deep, but the study of martial arts of the other school is also one of the main reasons. After knowing the martial arts of other schools, one can make up for the shortcomings of the kung fu of this school; Second, if you compete with the masters of other factions, you will already know the details of the other party, and you will naturally have the upper hand. Therefore, whenever a Shaolin disciple walks the rivers and lakes, returns to the temple to see the abbot and the master, and stipulates that they first go to the precept institute to report whether they have committed any offenses, and then go to the Prajna Hall to report their experiences. As long as there is a move and a formula in the martial arts of other schools, it will be recorded and compiled into a book. With such an accumulation of thousands of years, my Shaolin Temple has a good understanding of the martial arts of all sects in the world. โ€

While speaking, the two had already walked to the second floor. It's a little smaller, but it's also full of bookshelves, stuffed to the brim. Master Fang Sheng said again: "Senior nephew, this is the second layer. The secrets of Shaolin's seventy-two stunts, the expositions and quotations of the monks and hosts in the temple on Buddhism, etc., are all placed here. If you are studying Buddhism, you can read the books on the bookshelf at will. But if it is to learn martial arts, although there are many seventy-two stunts, they must also be stopped in moderation. โ€

The purpose of this trip was the "Divine Foot Sutra" and the "Yijin Sutra", so Master Fang Sheng did not stop, and walked straight down the stairs to the third floor. But Chen Sheng was originally a martial arts idiot. Suddenly, I saw the secret of the seventy-two stunts placed in front of me unconcealedly, and I couldn't help but see the joy of hunting. Finally, my self-control was strong enough, so I didn't immediately pounce on it and read it. But invisibly, his eyes were already shining, and his breathing was a little heavier than usual.

Master Fang Sheng has been in Shaolin for decades, and he has long been accustomed to such a scene. He was afraid that Chen Sheng would indulge in it, and he was "greedy" and poisonous without knowing it, so he kindly admonished: "Master and nephew, although there are rules in this temple, lay disciples can only be taught one stunt, but whether it is the "Shenzu Sutra" or the "Yijin Sutra", it does not belong to the seventy-two stunts. So no matter what exercises you choose this time, you can still come to the second floor of the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion again and choose a stunt to learn. But be careful, don't be greedy and make a big mistake. โ€

Chen Sheng quickly came back to his senses and said, "Abbot...... Oh no, it's Master. Isn't he a one-man stunt? โ€

Master Fang Sheng sighed: "The seventy-two stunts of this temple, each of which can hurt people and take their lives, are fierce and ruthless, and they are all resolved by the corresponding compassionate Buddhism. Otherwise, the anger will penetrate deep into the internal organs, and the deeper it will become, a hundred times more powerful than any external poison. If the cultivation of Buddhism is insufficient, but you have to learn more superior martial arts, then in the end, you will either go mad and die, or you will lose all your martial arts and become a wasted person.

The abbot's elder brother is the first person in the temple to cultivate Buddhism, so he can also practice twelve stunts. But how can other people's Dharma cultivation be compared to that of senior brothers? The temple records that at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple had a senior monk with the law name Xuancheng. He practiced thirteen Shaolin stunts by himself, and was praised by the predecessors of the temple as the first martial arts in the temple in the past 200 years. But overnight, he suddenly broke his muscles and veins, and he became a waste person from then on. Although he lost his martial arts and just concentrated on practicing Buddhism in order to seek liberation, it was also a painful lesson in the end. Master and nephew, you must know this point. โ€

If you practice a lot of martial arts, you will have hidden dangers, and suddenly you will become a waster? This kind of magical thing, in Chen Sheng's opinion, is really a bit incredible. However, the special energy of internal force itself no longer exists in the 21st century society where Chen Sheng was born, and it is a magical thing. So it is natural that this will lead to some other incredible phenomena, right?

The most important thing at this moment, after all, is to choose between the "Shenzu Sutra" and the "Yijin Sutra", and the warrior doesn't want to make extraneous branches. He nodded casually and didn't say much. Anyway, there are still more than nine months left before the end of the mission. In the past six months, there are still many opportunities to enter the Scripture Pavilion. How to choose, you can think about it slowly when the time comes. Always choose a powerful martial art that suits you best.

In fact, if time permits, Chen Sheng would really like to practice all the seventy-two stunts. However, with such a high level of martial arts, it must take at least a year to learn one of them, right? Seventy-two is seventy-two years. Seventy years of life is rare, which means that there are not many people who can live to be seventy years old. In other words, unless he can live as long as Peng Zu, who is said to have lived for 800 years, who can learn all these seventy-two stunts? Alas, whenever he thought of this, Chen Sheng couldn't help but sigh that the light was short, and the years were fleeting.

The third floor of the Scripture Pavilion is much narrower than the two floors below. The radius is only about five or six square meters. Excluding a wooden bookcase and two futons, there is only one bookshelf. Even this bookshelf is not full.

Coming here, Master Fang Sheng subconsciously revealed a faction of piety. He clasped his palms together and bowed respectfully to the bookshelf three times, then turned around and said, "Master and nephew, don't look at the books on this shelf, there are not many books, but they are the most precious classics of Shaolin Temple." All the works of the life of the ancestor of Bodhidharma, as well as all kinds of hand-copied scriptures brought back by the ancestor from Tianzhu, as well as the most profound martial arts secrets of the temple, are all here. โ€

Seeing that his long-cherished wish is about to be fulfilled, from now on, his martial arts can transcend the realm and enter a new world. A strip of Cotai has been neatly paved under his feet, just waiting for him to step on it. No matter how strong Chen Sheng's concentration was, he couldn't help but be greatly excited. So much so that the heart rate is at least two or three times faster than usual.
