Section B, Chapter 32: The Chamber of Secrets (Edus)

Several times in a row he slammed into the damn door, and the agitated Eddes felt his body hurt.

However, the door didn't even mean to open at all, it still stood upright.

Drawing his sword, Edus slashed it at the lock. However, this only ushered in one result: the sword was flicked away, and the arm was numb.

Damn, what a sturdy door! Eddes cursed inwardly, "It's been nearly two hours, hasn't it?" How many times have I tried to open this door?

If Quill were here, he might have smashed the damn lock...... Thinking of the scene of the death of the powerful Quill, Edus, who couldn't open the door for a long time, couldn't help but be angry.

To vent his anger, Eddes slammed his fist into the iron door, and immediately clenched his fist and screamed: the burning pain almost made him feel like his finger was broken.

Rubbing his right fist, Eders suddenly had a feeling of compassion: the way he looked just now must have been extremely funny.

Thinking of this, Eders couldn't help laughing at himself: yes, think about it! A guy who was furious because he couldn't open the door punched the door!

Damn, after laughing at myself, why do I think this behavior is stupid...... Having given up the blind toss, Edus leaned against the only door in the room, exhausted, and lamented: and there was no light at all...... It would be nice to have a candle.

Maybe the corruptor is going to throw me here to die. Eddes thought to himself in frustration: Damn, it would be better to kill me directly! It was impossible to expect anyone to save me - he was all too familiar with all the rooms in Snowcastle, and he had never been this place in his memory. So it's likely that the damn Corruptor used a spell to transfer me out of Snowcastle.

But maybe it was just a secret room that he didn't know?Eddes couldn't help but think of the passage under the dragon statue: even Lord Mace didn't know that there was such a tunnel...... Then he may still be in the Cold Snow Castle, but no one knows where this room is.

The results are not the same...... Thinking of this, Edus felt more and more depressed: When it really comes to the point where I can't stand it anymore, I can at least choose to end my life with a long sword.

Thinking of this, Eders suddenly felt a burst of irony: did he have to thank the Corrupter for not taking the sword? This kind of left him a choice: it's just that the options are different ways to die. No matter how you choose, the way to die will not be worse than Quire.

Deenor didn't know what was going on...... He became more and more worried about the little soldier: his constitution didn't seem to be very strong, because he was frozen and fainted in a few moments. The more Eddes thought about it, the more he felt that he was more than lucky: even if the Corruptor didn't do it himself, the cold would probably kill him.

If the Corruptor were to attack the others, how would the guards resist?Eders shuddered: the guy didn't even turn around before he froze Quir in an instant. Then he simply pinched the ice flame in his left hand, and Quill exploded - like pinching a worm to death, killing Quill.

The more he thought about it, the more confused Eddes became, and he couldn't understand why the Corruptor hadn't killed him: he had not been saved by someone else, but had been thrown here by the Corruptor - as if he had emerged from the cold, he must have taken himself the same way.

The enemy is most likely the Corruptor who wielded the Dragon-Hunting Bow and shot a dragon-hunting arrow into the room. If he did this to let his body enter the room with the cold, then what was his next purpose?

For some reason, Edus always felt that the corruptor didn't seem to have any intention of fighting. Mays and the others should not be attacked. Besides, if Quill hadn't attacked at the time, he might not have lost his life - but it's even stranger when you think about it. If he hadn't intended to kill everyone, the act of entering the castle would have been particularly suspicious and pointless.

Is he coming for me?" Eders pondered: Speaking of which, he appeared in front of me...... He stared at me for more than ten seconds, as if he were identifying a target. Could that be his original purpose: to get me into this room?

If the décor in this room had been unremarkable, Eddes felt that such a crazy thought would not have crossed his mind: he felt that the Corruptor must have a purpose in not killing him. And that purpose probably had something to do with the conspicuous altar - there were so many strange runes carved on it, it couldn't have been just a useless ornament. It may well be of great significance.

So why did the Corruptor go out of his way to let me discover this altar? Edus was even more confused: in this case, there was only one possibility. That is, he wanted me to make the existence of this chamber and the altar public. But if that were the case, he shouldn't have been trapped here - at least not for long.

It's rare to analyze and think about the conspiracy, but the headache makes Edus have to stop thinking - he can handle things on the battlefield beautifully, but he is really not good at using his brain in this area. Edus only felt that the more he thought about it, the more confused he became, and the more he thought about it, the more he couldn't understand the corrupter's intentions.

Looking at it this way, I can't find the problems that Lord Mace, Quill, and Derno can find...... Eddes smiled bitterly and laughed at himself in his heart: I have always been so prophetic. The same goes for Namedea - if I had reacted faster and had had a little more brain, Namedia wouldn't have died.

Sighing, Eddes was worried: it was all Quill that bastard who brought her up. Now that the surroundings are so dark and quiet, I can't help but remember Namedia's figure.

To distract himself, Eders hunched over and stood up. Patting the dust off his buttocks, he approached the altar to take a closer look.

Although he stared at it for a long time, Eders still didn't see the doorway at all. Having to give up on the idea, Eders walked back to the door again.

Hopelessly, he twisted the doorknob, and as expected, the door did not open.

I always feel that the crack in the door has been seeping cold air...... Edus held his hand close to the crack in the door, catching the touch of a subtle current: the same chill that seeped from the exploding dragon arrow.

Damn, I didn't sit for a while, and the floor got so cold again...... As soon as he sat down, the cold touch made Eders grit his teeth.

It took too much stamina in that time...... Leaning against the door, Eddes sighed tiredly and closed his eyes: it's good to rest for a while. I'll figure it out later.

I don't know how long it took, but Eders, who had lost his center of gravity in his upper body, was suddenly awakened by the impact from his back and the back of his head.

Rubbing his sore head, Eders gritted his teeth and got up: the door panel behind him had collapsed to the ground, and he was now lying on the door, falling out of the room.
