Chapter 192: Opening Ceremony (3)
"This ......" Van Lin looked at Madam Pomfrey as she put her hand on her, "I'm nothing, it's Harry, it's he who fainted......"
"Fainted?" said Madam Pomfrey, who immediately changed her aim. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info
"One of them cast the Patronus Charm, and the other was attacked by the Dementors. Professor McGonagall was serious, "Madam Pomfrey, you'd better help the two of them go through it." β
They exchanged inconspicuous glances, and Madam Pomfrey let out a disapproving giggle.
"Have the Dementors stationed around the school," she grunted, brushing Harry's hair away and touching the corner of his forehead. "He's not going to be the first to break down. yes, he's cold and wet. It's something horrible and what it does to those who can't stand itβ"
"I'm not incapable of being touched!" Harry said angrily.
"Of course you're not. Madam Pomfrey said absentmindedly, feeling Harry's pulse. "What does he need?" asked Madam Pomfrey briskly, "bed rest, should he spend the night in the hospital?"
"I'm fine!" Harry said, jumping to his feet.
Draco Malfoy didn't know what he would say if he had to go to the hospital, and the thought of it made him feel like torture.
"Okay. He should at least have some chocolate. Madam Pomfrey said, trying to look into Harry's eyes.
"I've already eaten some," said Harry, "and Professor Lupin gave me some." He also gave it to everyone. β
"Really?" said Madam Pomfrey approvingly, "then we have a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher who has mastered healing methods. β
"As for ......" Madam Pomfrey put her hand on Van Lin's body, and Van Lin also resigned himself to his fate, and did not dodge, Professor McGonagall would not let him go without checking on him.
"You cast a Patronus Charm?" Madam Pomfrey was unsure, "his magic is abundant!"
"That's good. Professor McGonagall nodded, then turned to Harry, "Are you sure you're okay, Potter?"
"Of course......" Harry affirmed, "I'm ...... fine"
"Good. Please wait outside for a moment, Miss Granger and I will say a word about her schedule, and then we can go to dinner together. β
Harry, Van Lin, and Madam Pomfrey made their way into the hallway, and Madam Pomfrey left him and headed back into the side hall, muttering something to herself along the way.
The two of them had only waited for a few minutes before Hermione appeared, looking very happy about something, and behind her was Professor McGonagall, and the four of them walked down the stairs into the Great Hall.
The auditorium was a sea of pointed black hats, and each long table was filled with students, their faces lit up by thousands of candles suspended in mid-air above the tables. Professor Flitwick is a short, gray-haired wizard who walks out of the Great Hall with an old hat and a three-legged stool.
"Oh," Hermione said softly, "we missed the sorting ceremony. β
New Hogwarts students wear the Sorting Hat to decide which house they should attend, and the hat calls out which house they are best suited to attend (Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin).
Professor McGonagall slowly walked to her empty seat in the faculty chair, while Van Lin, Hermione, and Harry walked as quietly as they could in the opposite direction, the Gryffindor desk.
As they walked along the back of the auditorium, people looked back at them, a few pointing at Harry. He passed out in front of the Dementors, and the news spread so quickly? The three of them sat next to Ron, who gave them a seat.
"What did you just call you to do?" Ron asked Harry in a low voice.
Harry began to whisper an explanation to him, but then the headmaster stood up and spoke, and he stopped.
Professor Dumbledore, despite his age, always came across as energetic. His hair and beard were several feet long, he wore semicircular glasses, and his nose was heavily hooked. It's often said that he's the greatest wizard of our time, but Harry doesn't respect him for that. You can't help but trust Professor Dumbledore, and when Harry saw him smile at the students, Harry felt that for the first time since the Dementor had entered the train car, he had truly calmed down.
"Welcome!" Professor Dumbledore said, his beard glistening with the light of the candles, "Welcome to Hogwarts in the new school year! I have a few things to say to all of you, one of which is very serious, and I thought it would be better to make it clear before you get confused by this meal......
Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued. "When they searched the Hogwarts Express, you all know. Our school is currently hosting a number of Dementors from Azkaban, who are here to carry out official duties with the Ministry of Magic. β
He paused, remembering that Mr. Weasley had said that Dumbledore was not happy about the Dementors guarding the school.
In fact, Van Lin didn't think that the Dementors could stop Sirius, he had already managed to escape once, and there was Professor Lupin in the school.
Van Lin looked in the direction of Lupin, according to the basic law, a fugitive, with a large number of Aurors behind him to pursue, Sirius Black had no chance to contact Lupin, otherwise he would not have been captured in Azkaban.
So now Van Lin is not sure whether Professor Lupin has ever been in contact with Sirius, and even if he did, it is another matter whether he believes it or not.
Dumbledore continued his opening speech......
"They are stationed at all entrances to the school's grounds," Dumbledore continued, "and I must make it clear during their stay here that no one is allowed to leave the school without permission. Dementors should not be tricked into trickery or disguise - not even the Cloak of Invisibility. He added this with a blank face.
Harry and Ron glanced at each other, and Van Lin felt that this sentence was specially added by Dumbledore for Harry, and the Cloak of Invisibility was given to Harry by him, and it was Christmas in the first year, so Dumbledore was not sure what would happen this semester, and the unknown was the most terrifying.
"Dementors are inherently unaware of requests or excuses. Therefore I warn each and every one of you: do not give them any excuse to hurt you. I'm counting on the prefects, as well as our new Boys and Girls Presidents, to make sure that no student comes into conflict with the Dementors. β
